Dark Phoenix's shrieks seem to be a modified version of the Perfect Chaos roar, and the Biolizard used a Perfect Chaos roar in Sonic Adventure 2; so it comes full circle. The Biolizard in Shadow Generations still has its jaguar-like shriek, albeit altered, and I assume the unaltered version was given to Metal Overlord since his roar from Sonic Heroes is Ryan Drummond imitating it.
@@CatWarior22 because you're just going left and right dodging black balls hitting the weak spot then doing it all over again and occasionally homing attacking on to the pink balls. Shadow gens makes the fight a lot more interesting with the arms and the last phase
@Rico3D567 it doesn't flow nearly as well as sa2 and I really think that sa2 handled the phases better. In shadow gens I feel like I'm getting stuck in a cutscene every 5 seconds
I like how Shadow goes from "Get out of here, ugly prototype!" To "You tortured soul... I will end your suffering!"
Apparently, in the original Japanese version, Shadow still acts like that.

Still a bit bizarre, that Sega just chose to recycle the Dark Gaia Phoenix sounds from Unleashed in both Generations 3DS and Shadow Gens.
Even more bizarre, they gave the biolizard's scream to Metal Overlord.
@@AzurePrower It actually goes back further than that. Nearly every bestial/God-like final boss in 3d Sonic reuses Perfect Chaos' roar.
