Silver first appeared in sonic 06 not in SA2. Silver fought Sonic cuz he was the iblis trigger and then later on they became friends. Now as for shadow you might need to play the game or search the clip cuz i don't wanna spoil the game for you. Just search Sonic x Shadow generations Sonic and Shadow fight or smth
People can play the version of the game they prefer or they just don’t own it like me I own it on PS3 and XBOX 360 but don’t know how to record the games so I’d most likely record the PS2/Wii version

Tbf, in a game you’re playing as Sonic, the main character, and I think it’s only natural that devs are gonna make it so that you can win more easily because the aim is to please the player. In movies and TV, they can make it more even because the audience won’t be getting frustrated about Sonic losing to Shadow cuz they’re not the ones losing the fight, as opposed to when you’re playing and losing as Sonic

Honestly, Sonic Generations improved the gameplay of these battles a lot, specifically the Classic and Dreamcast bossfights
Thankfully Sonic & Classic Sonic didn't have to fight the Final Phase Bosses, like Dark Gaia, or Solaris,

Because the time eater did something to them, remember, sonic generations’ boss is the time eater, which flips time and reality itself.
And shadow is still an enemy of sonic.
