    Yep you say it right, if you need to be perfect it is not the right ball....the Semtex material looks like cheapo stuff. You always need to be perfect with this material. The hk22 addition might improve it though, instead of becoming industrial waste😁

      Hahah I don't know anything about Semtex....interesting!

    It took me forever to learn that sometimes it IS the ball. Sometimes it's just the wrong shape for the lanes or the way you are throwing it that day. It is a hard concept to get because sometimes you throw it great with the wrong ball and it strikes and then you fight to throw the that same shot again. Mentally, I just don't always remember that lesson. I guess that is where practice really pays off. I try to throw everything I bring to league in the practice period just to know what is working but I still make the wrong choices.
    How about a Pure Envy compared to the Extreme Envy?

    • @bowlwithVALue
      @bowlwithVALue  13 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Exactlyyyyy. I throw most of the balls I bring in practice also. The hard weeks are when every single ball strikes and looks good 😬🫣 then I get confused haha
      I believe I'm getting a Pure Envy to review/compare with Brianna soon, so hopefully she also has an extreme envy since I don't. Also update on your previous suggestion: we have a Budget Ball comparison coming soon!

    Good viedo. I have the low flare. I like it. Better on sport patterns. Then I do on house shots.
    In fairness though. If a bowling ball thrown by me, and a snail had a race. The snail would probably win.😃 Also I don't think the center I bowl my house leauge in believes in oil.🙄 Not really a good sign when I'm actually bowling better in my sport shot leauage. Even if it is a different center.

    Valerie’ so this means that I need to change my line to a tighter line ?
    Compared to my hazmat @ 2000 I need tighten the line a bit

      Based on what I tried at the end of the video, that would make the most sense to me! The lower differential with the stronger coverstock didn't like when I tried to open my angles and circle it more.

    Nice video. To me it looks like you should only use the low flare if the regular one is over reacting on the backend. I do see Joe they could work good together though

    • @bowlwithVALue

      Yes, that's exactly it!

  • @ScorpionDragon11
    @ScorpionDragon11 15 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

    So would the low flare be better on a short(er) pattern? And how do you think these compare to the original Scorpion?

    • @bowlwithVALue
      @bowlwithVALue  13 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I love your TH-cam handle 😄🦂 how fitting!
      Yes, for sure. I used the LF balls (ex: envy tour) a lot on medium, flat patterns.
      I would say the original scorpion would be right in the middle. I really liked that ball when I had it a few years ago and used it a lot. It would be smoother than the Strike and cleaner through the fronts + quicker response than the Low Flare.

    I love the 9" of total flare I get out of the scorpion low flare. The ball is a beast. I'll use it on anything. Lofting gutters or playing up 2. But I ordered a strike to compliment the low flare when the miss room isn't quite there.

    • @bowlwithVALue
      @bowlwithVALue  11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      That's amazing!! It really is a beast. and I think the Strike will compliment it well!

    I am so curious to see this comparison because all the videos I saw with the Scorpion Strike remind me of the Scorpion Sting. The Scorpion LF is such a low DIF I never would have thought to compare it to the Strike.

    • @bowlwithVALue
      @bowlwithVALue  13 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      It was a suggestion in a comment otherwise I'm not sure I would have compared them either. Although, now that I have, I think they both have spots in my bag!

      @@bowlwithVALue Have you considered comparing the Strike to the Sting? I love my Scorpion Sting. Right now I use the Scorpion Hybrid and the Sting and the LF and it makes a great 3 ball arsenal.
      I start with the LF then go to the Hybrid and for game 3 I move way left into the Sting.
      I think the Sting and the new Strike would be very similar but with the HK22 additive it would be interesting to see what differences there are between the 2 balls.

    • @bowlwithVALue
      @bowlwithVALue  11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I would love to except I didnt drill it 2 years ago and it's "retired" now so I likely won't be able to get it directly from Brunswick... I think you're on the right track with the HK22 vs not. I'd guess that the Strike would be just a touch more responsive, like when I compared the old Radical Conspiracy to the new one with HK22.

    Very good video. It makes me really want to try the scorpion strike now, but I'm also interested in the new super cuda powercore. The core numbers are pretty close in 14 pounds. I wonder if surface adjustments could be made to either ball to get a very similar reaction to the other

    • @bowlwithVALue

      Great points! They could be similar for sure. I haven't thrown the super cuda powercore yet...

    Could you explain “low flare” a bit more? My understanding is that since the flare rings are so close to each other, that means there’s less ball touching the lane and therefore less hook. But if a low flare ball has four flare rings and a high performance ball has four flare rings that are spaced farther apart, wouldn’t both balls have the same amount of surface touching the lane?

    • @TrevorPrinceMusic
      @TrevorPrinceMusic 15 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Flare less is less of the ball touching the lane which is lower hook potential.

    • @roughrosa
      @roughrosa 15 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I have both medium diff and low flare in my arsenals. Low flare just means less hook, while medium diff/medium flare has more of hook. The lower the differential the closer together the track flare rings (flare separation). The higher the differential the further apart the track flare rings.
      It’s not how many rings the balls have but how the rings are spaced out. The quantity of rings on the other hand means how many rotations you impart on the ball.
      Bigger space between the rings means the ball travels and covers more boards from right to left as it hooks in. So, it’s kind of ideal for players who hook the lane a lot and stand far left, making the inverted C shape.
      For straighter players, down and in type of guy, the low flare balls travel less boards from right to left, keeping the ball straighter, more like a hockey stick shape.
      I use low flare when my first ball starts hooking so much after transition so I am able to stay right, or about the same spot.

    As we've chatted before love the LF, it could be very versatile. I suggest 3.0 or similar to help break down the pattern then once the 3.0 goes early switch over to the LF for the rest of the night. Probably straighter at first then as it gets drier get left and watch it hook.

    • @bowlwithVALue
