I also discovered the bullet was the perfect size for the blend! Thanks for the great recipes!!! And congrats on your weight loss success. p.s. I also love the flavor of monk fruit sweetener 🎉
OMG this is even better than your oreo mcflurrie recipe. I doubled the recipe. I used 6 tbsp of half/half then topped it to 2 cups using water and i used 1 whole egg and 1/4 tsp of xanthum gum. The jello mixes sweetener and pb2 i doubled your qty. I made it in my deluxe. 2 servings of top spin and bottom spin. Did not even need the mixins. Thank you for another excellent recipe!
Made this the other day for me and the wife. It’s a solid recipe. Macros for me before the toppings for 200 grams were: Protein: 10.8 grams Carbs: 23.8 Fat: 4.3 Calories: 177 I added the peanuts and the caramel afterwards. It’s legitimately as close to a Snickers bar taste as you can get for the calories. Would have liked some more protein so I might try adding some chocolate whey protein next time.
@@mattramos998 I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Great idea for the added protein. This particular recipe was prioritizing lower calories, but lots of these would be great with added whey protein. I've made a few protein ice creams that were delicious! 😁
I'm traveling so I missed the bell on this one. But just watched it with my wife and she was nodding and giggling at your comments. She said this looks so easy especially since we got the bullet blender already. She wants to try this since it seems like it would be cheaper than travel food. I especially like Snickers so this is a win.
That looks delicious and I'm tempted to try it but when I used pudding mix the ice cream had a definite pudding taste but the worst part was the texture, it was more like a gummy mousse. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks! I'm still fairly new to using the Ninja Creami, but I've had times where the ice cream comes out more mousse-like as well. Perhaps it depends on how much pudding mix is used? I generally add some to give it some flavor, but I don't add a lot. Also I wonder if using the regular Ice Cream setting instead of the Lite Ice Cream setting would make a difference.
I used a different pudding powder and the consistency is not as thick,... lets see what happens tomorrow :D ... but I can order jello even in germany. Lets see ... i am curious how it will taste
Dont you get a hump on your freezing mixture when putting it with the lid on in the freezer? Or let me put it in another way... how do you prevent getting a hump? 😅 Nice video!
@rajkoprikoszovits474 Sometimes I do, although these mixtures have managed to freeze without a hump. I've heard that if you let it freeze without the lid it helps avoid the hump from forming. Thanks!
You can always pasteurize the egg to ensure any potential bacteria is killed, or you could forego the egg all together and just add a little more milk, or you could use 2% milk. I'm just sharing a recipe that I enjoy, but feel free to experiment and find what you like best! I think I'll post a video on pasteurized eggs in the future. Thanks
My wife is doing a fitness program and her trainer adds one triangle of Laughing Cow cheese to her Creami recipes. I forgot to try it on this one but will hopefully remember on the next.
Only thing I can think of is, either you're not using xanthan gum, guar gum, or if you have neither one you can also use instant pudding. Those should help minimize the ice crystals. Also the longer it stays in the freezer, the more ice crystals it will have too. So after you make it, try to eat it within a week.
@quiltstamper5432 The egg yolk is something I've learned from other Creami recipes. It can be done without it, and will still be good, but the consistency will be slightly different. I'm going to look into an alternative that doesn't use raw egg for those who would prefer not to have it. 😊
It's called a snickers ice cream because it's supposed to mimic the taste of a snickers ice cream while keeping it loa calorie, kinda hard to keep something low calorie while using the name brand item itself as an ingredient
@@maximumrpg3707 the recipes work. My father in law lost 14 pounds since I've shown him some. I have lost 10. I make the quesadillas usually two times a week. You get all the flavors of the food type but none of the gunk in the premade and way less calories. Give it a try. You may like it.
@maximumrpg3707 Oh, I see what you're saying. This isn't a sponsored video, I just like using my Ninja Creami and I share recipes that I like to make with it, but I'm not advertising or being paid by any of these companies. Just stuff from my personal kitchen. 😊

I actually bought the Ninja creami after i watched your lemon cheesecake tecuoe, and it's the best!

OMG JOHN! You look amazing! Hardly recognized you from HS photos. Keep up the good work my dude!
Thanks so much! It's been quite a journey, but well worth it! 😁
For 30-70 extra calories, you can use 2% or whole milk and I think the difference in product is waaaay better

What about adding a scoop of protein powder to it?
@markp864 That would work, too. I've made ice creams with protein powder and they tasted great!
Can you make pistachio ice cream?

I believe his recipe is for the regular Ninja Creami 16 oz. ? I am going to have to do some math because I have a Ninja Deluxe Creami which is 24 oz.
I have the DELUXE. I just follow this channel recipe exactly and I do the spin on full or bottom half. both setting work fine.
Just triple it and make 2 deluxe pints
The pudding mixes have xantham gum already in them.
Is it safe to just put in the raw egg without cooking the mixture?

@sichtbarfurallenutzer779 Xanthan gum helps prevent ice crystals, try adding 1/2 teaspoon of xanthan gum and see if that helps. 😁

Kinda BS to advertise it as ice cream from one brand while using items from another, no?

@Awoguru Indeed. The intent is to replicate the flavor of Snickers as a low calorie ice cream.
