- The FV4202 in War Thunder is an amazing British MBT. The craziest thing of all, is that this is arguably the worst British MBT at 7.0 and there are 5 others!
The FV4202 has a 20 Pounder Cannon that fires a high velocity APDS round with almost 300mm of penetration. The FV 4202 can easily defeat a King Tiger frontally and often will take it out with a single shot.
The FV4202 is a strange looking British Tank in War Thunder. Its turret is a complete cast unit with some strange angles. Most of the turret is weak but the parts that are strong are almost impenetrable by APHE rounds at this BR.
The fully stabilised cannon is the real advantageous gadget of the FV4202, though. Regardless of how fast you're going or how rough the terrain, this cannon will stay pixel still as you line up your next kill!

This tank has one of the most historically inaccurate drive trains in the game. Only 450hp in game, when in real life it shared its power pack with the Centurions. So 600HP or so.
Also it is governed at such a low speed for some reason... It's still an awesome tank however, one of my favorites.
@@General_Griffin the brits did use speed governors on their Churchill's, I guess gaijin decided that everything British is a Churchill.
@@Orinslayer It really does feel that way too. lol Besides maybe the Cromwells I suppose.
British stabilizers are unrealistic as hell anyway so yeah I think it's a good tradeoff.
@@veliki_dlek Tbh the centurion stabiliser is pretty realistic compared to a video I saw of a mk3 firing on the move.
But I dont think that tank was going full speed shooting.

As you can see it is fairly similar in game compared to real life.
The cannon barrel kinda makes it look like the needle thing on a mosquito.

What if you did a compilation of funniest packet loss fails, you could store them away for later as you see them come up in editing and every so often do a compilation video and see if people like it. My first "old 6.7" tank I spaded and I still love it.
The strongest and the most expensive line up
It's not that expensive. I use cent MK3, Carnarvon, fv4005, typhoon, and crusader MK1 AA (sadly no better AA), and I make between 10,000-15,000 a game with average of 5 kills and a cap or two.
I dont know why you have only 55K subscribers. You have videos on awesome level, i can say they are better than videos of PhlyDaily and he has 2M subs. You'll grow up one day and you will have many subscribers. Just keep on doing this great work. I love your videos :D

Hey. For me, I start with the Caernarfon, then cent 3 then this. The lack of reverse puts it behind the other two regardless of turret armour. Nice backup though on big maps.

As a German heavy driver, this thing does indeed make me cry. Its too op! It just snapshots king tigers and jag tigers with its fully stabilized sabot!
As an American main that would get uptiered every time I tried 5.7 US and suffered immensely, I want german mains to suffer. As someone who switched to the German tree in response, I agree with this comment so much. As a new British main, I can't wait to unlock the legendary 7.0 lineup to do the tiger kicking.
@@supersarge2477 you dont want to play 7.0 line up. Its OP as fuck but 20 000 SL repair cost on one tank is such a bullshit. It will suck your wallet.
@@supersarge2477 it's costly. 10k for cent mk2. 11k for the fv4202. And 14k for the caernarvon. If your willing to spend a bit, the centurion action ten is pretty cheap and performs the same as the cent mk3.
Your expected to do well in those tanks, because if you aren't, you won't be able to play them for long die to just how quickly you run out of silver lions
@@ethanedwards422 Yeah I found that out while looking at em, luckily I got a super lucky million SL roll on an after-battle crate so I have money to spare. Main problem is that I absolutely refuse to give scummy gaijin any money so the grind is thus far unbearable. Ah well, at least when I get it a year from now I'll do well, seeing as I tend to top scoreboards.

That second game is how I normally play the fv4202 and the action X. It is a lot of fun to dunk on tiger 2's with a stabilized gun
After 6.7 br's of being the best they deserve to be knocked down a bit
I love this tank, but the repair costs at br of 7 are insane you have to kill at least 4 other players before you even break even if you get destroyed.
As funny as it is hearing you try to pronounce Caernarvon I feel we should finally sort this out. It is said Kar-nar-fon. I know, that simple! :-) Thanks for all the vids and keeping us entertained. Stay safe and stay strong and this whole tawdry affair will be behind us all soon.
This is one of my favorite tanks to play in War Thunder! IMO it's better than the Centurion Mk3 for it's much lower silhouette and superior turret armor. I wish the engine wasn't held back so much though as it certainly has enough power to go much faster.

This lineup almost bankrupt me with their repairs, I only recover because i play more with 5.3 lineup of Comet, Challenger and AC IV

I feel ya man. Am grinding the British tech tree and this lineup is sucking up silver lions. Idk why only this lineup has this high of a repair cost
@@HarmanSingh-rz2uk with 7.7 lineup will Be better (without Conqueror), the 8.3 lineup is quite good too
And the best part is they used to be even more expensive.
The FV4202 was 17k SL at one point.
Mine rn is 15k sl (most probably fully spaded out). Lol what kinnda system is this....makes playing that lineup a headache

Do you think this lineup is still strong being now 7.3? I have both prems and I must say they now feels much more difficult to use them as grinders. Same with FV - I used to love this tank.

I swear there are so many British tanks that look or have the same shape as it and some you can’t pen the hull others no pen on the turret and so I never know what to shoot also some are stabilized and so I never know if I should push those guys or not

British 7.0 ground fab line up. Great for getting "assists" and "critical hits" in daily tasks.
