I got a copy of pokemon emerald a few years ago and noticed it had the old sea map but thought he already got the mew. after watching this i decided to check the faraway island and i couldnt believe mew iis actually there. Im 90% sure its legit because it was the same scenario you had but the elite four was defeated, no gold frontier medals.... im so excited to start this hunt!
MOM GET THE CAMERA JOHNSTONE MADE A NEW VIDEO
Banger video John. You did what Little Joey always wanted to do
Shiny Mew is such a satisfying shade of blue
Funny coincidence I just got a shiny mew today a few hours before this was uploaded
One of my fondest memories was begging my mom as a kid to take me to GameStop to pick up the Shiny Zygarde in USUM
Those were the days man
Getting to access the rotom appliances for my first irl mystery gift event in platinum was a core memory. also the first game i stayed up till midnight release for
Such an incredibly cool catch, congratulations!
6:10 "Possibly a few English copies"
If it was anything like Deoxys…I'm gonna say probably not due to language lock. (JP cartridges were reportedly incompatible with the software used for the European Emerald Aurora Ticket event in 2005, so by extension I'd assume the same [but in reverse] also applied to the Old Sea Map.)
John posted lets go
Actually that's Emerald, not Let's Go
@@nicerhabara you must be super fun at partys
@@ephramnelson5567 At least I get invited to ones
It's true what they say the best things in life really are free. Congrats on you for getting that random copy.
Perfect pokeball choice John!
This is so incredibly cool!!
Ever so slight correction though bc I’m a big nerd: you can run away, leave, and comeback, for any legendaries in this game which is very convenient for dodging emerald’s lack of random seed. The same doesn’t work in R/S, however.
Congrats on the shiny find and even more rare game find!!
"never gonna leave" clone him! giveaway the cloooones!
back when mythicals were truly mythical haha. i know its not feasible today but it was still a magical feeling
