    Today we are answering the question, "Can the Nutribullet GRIND FLAXSEED?" I am happy to say that the nutribullet has absolutely no problems what so ever grinding flaxseed into a fine powder.

    Why do i feel like I just watched Eminem unironically make a video about grinding flax seed for his girl? I love this! Peace

    no you can totally add the whole seeds in with your other ingredients. The extraction blade can smash the flaxeed. This is more about grinding it into a powder for other recipes (making it more like a flour substance)

    I find using the milling blade for the flax seeds only works much better than adding the flax seeds in with other ingredients using the extraction blade. Just grind up a few days worth of seeds and keep them airtight until needed.

    WOW....Just had to say, after I saw your video on grinding up rice to flour and now this one for flax seed, I had to try this. I accidentally bought a bottle of whole fennel seeds. Among other health benefits, they are good for bloating, chew just a pinch and it will relieve bloating. They aren't bad to the taste, it's tastes like licorice, but, the problem is, the whole seed is straw like and have prickly ends. I thought I was going to have to buy a coffee grinder to grind them to make them edible, but, after seeing this video, I decided to try the nutribullet. Guess what? It worked great. I dumped the whole bottle in and it only took about 15 seconds and it was powder. Thanks and keep up the good work. Looking forward to new uses for the nutribullet. :)

    Works really well with my knock-off Nutri-Blender :) I now get to add ground flaxseed and chia to my porridge/oatmeal and make this amazingly smooth and pleasantly stodgy powa-porridge with rice milk (I also grind the oats) that microwaves quicker than the straight-up porridge I've been eating almost every day for 5+ years. Had been adding them both to soy milk/frozen banana smoothies until I saw your video, so thanks!

    Thanks so much! I've had my nutribullet a year and had read in the manual at first it grinds seeds, but didn't use it. Now I wanted to, and found out it works perfectly! Thanks for showing me how, I'd have never believed it would do it in such a big cup. Yay! XD

    Wow! If I got a milling blade with mine I left it in the box and who knows where that might be! The regular blade on mine is a monster! I love it. Thanks ! I'll be looking for a milling blade now.

    Thanks for the demo. Wasn't sure how well the NutriBullet would do with flax. I plan to make a recipe I saw for tortillas, using nothing but flax seed flour and water, but the flour needs to be really fine. Your video was helpful. :)

    This is great if you don't mind eating the plastic that the seeds blast off the plastic Nutribullet container. I'm currently trying to find something else to use!

    You should have shown us how well it was ground up by putting the finished product thru a strainer. It looks great when I pick mine up with my fingers as you did, but no matter how little flaxseed I initially put in the container or how long I grind it, the container is always full of too many seeds that do not get ground up which you can only see after straining them. I end up having to strain everything thru a strainer every time. Grinding seeds is a big disappointment.

    Is it necessary to pre-grind the flaxseeds with the milling blade and then add the meal in with your smoothie ingredients or can you just add the whole seeds in with the other smoothie ingredients and grind everything in one step using the extractor blade? Thanks.

    A stupid question, please. If all I need is ground flaxseeds in the smoothie, then can I simply dump the ingredients plus whole flaxseeds in the Nutribullet and leave the rest to the Nutribullet?

    A Fourth of a cup is nothing. My MAGIC Bullet can do that. But I need a cup and a half at a time, and the Magic Bullet can't do that. That's one of the reasons I want to upgrade to Nutribullet, so that I can grind bigger quantities at a time. So I need to know if Nutribullet can do larger quantities.

    • @nutribullettime
      @nutribullettime  7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      very good question Betsy. I'm sure it can. But I should do a video on that.

      I also grind oatmeal, raw sunflower seeds, and cashews. almonds are too hard. I'd like to be able to grind at least a cup of any of those at a time.

    • @angelkotilainen
      @angelkotilainen 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Betsy I always soak my almonds or any other hard nut for a minimum of 10 mins, preferably overnight, it releases the hard seal that prevents the nutrients being accessed, and you can just eat them soft like that and get full nutrition. I had no idea those hard seeds are covered in a material that stops animals digesting them, but of course water (rain water) dissolves it fast so the plant can grow. Plain water is a hard seeds weakness.

    This is for 1/4 of a cup - 4 tablespoons. What if you just wanted one tablespoon of flax seeds ground. Would that work or break the motor?

    • @angelkotilainen
      @angelkotilainen 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I do small amounts with mine just fine. I don't see how it could possibly break the motor.
