Every time I see a new trailer for this game it just looks better and better. Visuals look stunning, gameplay looks fast and fun, & I love Hat Kid's VA! Can't wait for this game, so eager to hear the final release date!

The Style, the sounds the characters scream origonality and nostalgia to the past 3D platformer games by feel and not reference. This seems it could be a classic in the same way games like Mario 64 is, people will play this for ages to come, that the core structure and gameplay will be timeless. everyone involved with this I wish for nothing but the best for all of you when this finally launches

Just look at how bad the PS3 flopped at $600. The console market isn't going to buy anything that's above $400. Consoles have to rely not on graphics or the next cutting edge technology to help them drive sales but through exclusive games, third party deals, and exclusive content to differentiate themselves from their competitors. If there weren't any exclusive games at all then we would be stuck with nothing but shit and no innovation at all because competition drives innovation. As someone who loves creative 3D platformers, A Hat in Time looked like the perfect game for me... and it's coming out on everything but Nintendo Switch, which is the system that I own. I could literally cry right now.
You can blame Nintendo for that for not wanting to send them a dev kit :^) I want it on switch too, but I've already pre-ordered it on PC. Feel your pain though.

It happened a week before the the Xbox One was announced, let alone came out. The Dev is just probably trying to get to out on the consoles they've probably been developing on for last 4 years

Nintendo cares most about smaller indie devs so an incredible game like this game would definitely be on the forefront of the Switch eshop Meanwhile on PlayStation store (and probably the Xbox store idk I only own Switch and PS4) COD WWII is still on the forefront.... for pre-order.... and you have to really dig to find solid titles like this Sony doesn't really feature anything like this until its making tons of money I.E. shovel knight. It blew up on the Nintendo eshop and Sony magically made it appear on the front page of the PS Store. Point being that a game like this has a better opportunity blowing up on a Nintendo platform So even if Mario would take a chunk out of sales (which is highly debatable) it would still do best on the Switch.

@@Electronix_247 not much. 40 different time pieces, about 10 are hidden in the hub and in each world. 4 worlds. And a speedrun option. No Co-op, no minigames. Decent cutscene graphics. (incomparable to the Nyakuza cutscenes). Its an enjoyable story, which is why I'm at least not begging for my money back. If you have a PC, get that version of the game.
I want to thank everybody that helped kick start this game or even supported it emotionally from afar, without all of your help this game would never have been as great as it is today. Of course I have to thank all of the developers, art designers, music directors voice actors, and every other person who helped create the content within this game. A hat in time has brought a smile to my face for hours at a time and I could play it for however many years I have left, every tiny little detail in this game is well crafted and created with heart, mind and soul. This game, no kidding, has absolutely changed my life and I am generally a happier person than I was before, it is single handedly the best experience i have had not only in all of gaming but in all of life; so thank you, to everybody who helped make this game happen... I was sad that there wasn't a console (PS4,X1) release for this game since I don't have a good PC yet. I'm very glad you guys are putting this on console. I need more platformers in my library and I'm hopefully getting this day 1.

Mario Odyssey is no replacement for A Hat in Time! I played the Beta and love this game. So im kinda hyped to finally play it. :) Of course I also love Odyssey but in a very different way.
Just a tip: i'm a huge Nintendo fan, but if you can afford it, having multiple consoles is much better! No point in limiting yourself. Both PS4 and Xbox One have really nice games :)

Calzones It's not Nintendo's fault. You can't really say who is at fault unless you know the situation. It could be because of money, it could be supply and demand, who knows. Even still supply and demand isn't Nintendo's fault as they are currently battling Apple for parts xD
the switch version will come eventually, at least I think, the develepors made this game because they were core fans of the 3D banjoe kazooie/Nintendo 64 platformer and wanted to replicate it, but at the time it was under development was before the switch (and even the Wii U too i think) had been announced/their dev kits released
And there's already Switch beggers... Listen they probably want to put it on the Switch but can't announce it at this time since Nintendo consoles are different and they have to learn how to use them system and port to it as its a new system that came earlier this year. Plus the fact that they likely didn't get Switch dev kits
I don't hate Nintendo, although I do think they make terrible business decisions. My point is if you follow the game on social media people ask about a Switch release on every post they make and always get told it isn't planned and I think it's funny how this trailer has announced it's coming to every other current-gen platform. Edit: For the record, Super Mario 64 is my favourite game of all time and Mario Odyssey looks sick. But yeah I'm just a Nintendo hater. :^)
I have a Switch and love it, but I also bought a PS4 for this very reason. I gave up hope on Nintendo ever getting true 3rd party support. It's just not going to happen. You should give up hope as well.
Not really....... Nintendo is starting to get third party support. Overwatch is being looked into, Rocket League is on the way, Indie's are almost reigning supreme on the switch, I could go on and on. There's only currently a few games on the Switch. Bomberman R, Zelda, Arms, MK8D, and Splatoon 2. The Eshop however is jammed full of indie games. Just look at all of the game trailers on Nintendo's TH-cam channel. Don't "give up hope". Just don't be expecting everything in the world.
Uhhh I wouldn't be so sure.... I played Overwatch on Mac with the lowest settings possible, and it would definitely run on Switch in that state. Ran fine 30 fps. Didn't look too good, but it would still run.

Well, third party games still exist and because of the portability and generally because the Switch is more popular than the Wii U ever was, there is a pretty high demand for games to be ported ESPECIALLY when the artstyle fits into the rest of the games that Nintendo releases themself.

Calzones It's not Nintendo's fault. You can't really say who is at fault unless you know the situation. It could be because of money, it could be supply and demand, who knows. Even still supply and demand isn't Nintendo's fault as they are currently battling Apple for parts xD
the switch version will come eventually, at least I think, the develepors made this game because they were core fans of the 3D banjoe kazooie/Nintendo 64 platformer and wanted to replicate it, but at the time it was under development was before the switch (and even the Wii U too i think) had been announced/their dev kits released
And there's already Switch beggers...
Listen they probably want to put it on the Switch but can't announce it at this time since Nintendo consoles are different and they have to learn how to use them system and port to it as its a new system that came earlier this year. Plus the fact that they likely didn't get Switch dev kits

Cynical Jestmaster It seems the way he typed it was very rude sounding like he liked how the Switch wasn't getting the game though.
I don't hate Nintendo, although I do think they make terrible business decisions. My point is if you follow the game on social media people ask about a Switch release on every post they make and always get told it isn't planned and I think it's funny how this trailer has announced it's coming to every other current-gen platform.
Edit: For the record, Super Mario 64 is my favourite game of all time and Mario Odyssey looks sick. But yeah I'm just a Nintendo hater. :^)

I have a Switch and love it, but I also bought a PS4 for this very reason. I gave up hope on Nintendo ever getting true 3rd party support. It's just not going to happen. You should give up hope as well.
Not really....... Nintendo is starting to get third party support. Overwatch is being looked into, Rocket League is on the way, Indie's are almost reigning supreme on the switch, I could go on and on. There's only currently a few games on the Switch. Bomberman R, Zelda, Arms, MK8D, and Splatoon 2. The Eshop however is jammed full of indie games. Just look at all of the game trailers on Nintendo's TH-cam channel. Don't "give up hope". Just don't be expecting everything in the world.
Swordslash Overwatch would suck ass on the switch
Uhhh I wouldn't be so sure.... I played Overwatch on Mac with the lowest settings possible, and it would definitely run on Switch in that state. Ran fine 30 fps. Didn't look too good, but it would still run.
Swordslash the controls would be weird, the graphics wouldn't be the main issues

That game was a 2D game and it released on the Wii U. One of the worst consoles next to the VB.
And AHIT was originally a PC game when it begun in Beta.
