Example of bad writing: Our Villain aka Anus kidnapped 2 girls Meerab and Marium and he didn’t dare to touch both the girls BUT on the other hand our Hero Murtasim sexually assaulted his own wife. And the worst part is the makers actually considered it to be acceptable in the storyline. They can’t rectify their mistake, I rest my case. 🤯🤯🤯🤯

As an Indian, I have seen our dramas where the male leads are aggressive & sometimes toxic, but I haven’t seen or heard of Indian any drama in the recent years that involves sexual assault or rape by main lead. Therefore it was a shocker for me to see a well performed character like Murtasim doing the unimaginable & unthinkable. I am glad the feedback was sent to makers & team Terebin through the trend that youth is intelligent & aware about the sensitivity of the social issues & they cannot be used as clickbait & sensationalism.

Tere Bin is a typical case of gaslighting the audience: making controversial content for TRPs, getting social media outrage, making a choppy edit in reaction and then having people themselves feel bad for wanting a re-edited episode. Happens every-time where the blame is placed on the audience and producers get away with saying it’s for our audience- look we make content that the audience likes to watch. When in actuality the blame goes to content makers for ruining art for money.

Thank you for addressing the absurdities in the episode. We will take everything with a grain of salt because they steered away from marital rape. However, what I simply cannot fathom, regardless of marital rape or consensual sex, is Murtasim's casual treatment and attitude toward Haya in today's episode. She was the one who instigated everything. She not only bluffed and seduced him but created this huge misunderstanding between Murtasim and Meerab. Where did Murtasim's threat go? "Abhi sub kuch sach batao warna mujh se bura koi nahin ho ga." Bura nahin ho ga my foot. He is treating Haya like nothing happened. NO ONE HOLDING HAYA ACCOUNTABLE IS NOT JUSTIFIED... Murtasim should have been pissed at her and should have even told Maa Begum about the stunt she pulled last night because of which he had to talk to Meerab to salvage their relationship and that's why he wasn't there for Maryam's rukhsati. This would have made sense to Maa Begum as well. That knight in shining armor, Naurez, also came and threw hints at some perpetrator but didn't mention Haya's name at all. What is this "say nothing to Haya" policy? How do these guys plan to show her punishment? By making her commit suicide or showing her mad in the last episode? I can't wrap my head around this absurdity.

Everyone is saying Tere bin is a trashy romance, but I always felt there is a lack of romance throughout the dram. Just a little romantic moments here and there that too implied by Murtasim. Meerab was always so reluctant not to see the love he had for her. By the time, she started realising and giving Murtasim importance romantically, all the drama about Maryam started. Upon realising his love for her, all Meerab did was taking advantage of it to help Maryam unite with her lover. She didn't value it the way she should have. I genuinely felt the moment when Murtasim revealed about his past dream of wildlife photography that was the perfect moment for them to breach the contract and go ahead with the intimacy. That was the most emotionally vulnerable they were infront of each other. That scene felt incomplete and no proper climax for the build up. From my view, That was the perfect ground for the baby. Then they could do all the drama afterwards and make them separated by the current track where Meerab sees Murtasim and Haya together (even though its illogical to the core but they were going with it anyway) and and she knows about her pregnancy. Meerab wanted to reveal about this and her trust and ego is completely shattered after the fight where Murtasim behaves cruelly maybe pointing towards Rohail and she goes away from the house. This would make more sense than the consensual intimacy drama. Who on earth would be devastated like this after a consensual intimacy. Why Meerab didn’t care about Maryam's ruksati at all when she was ready to ruin her marriage for MM's happiness? Why is Murtasim the most emotionally controlled person can't control his anger for his sister and doesn’t show up at the event? Why everyone is always so convinced about what Haya says despite all the things she has been doing? Why Ma begum and MM don’t demand for Meerab to be in the ruksati when it is the very reason MB had brought back her??

If only the writer had progressed the story this way, it would have made so much more sense than to introduce this MR track for no rhyme or reason. Murtasim's confession scene was so incomplete with Meerab helping Mariam elope right in the next scene. One thing that os consistent in Tere Bin is the absurdity of the story, cant believe they executed this screenplay without any level of content review process!

And why did Yumna Zaidi in an interview say apart from Murtassim, every character is grey…when in fact Murtassim was gonna assault Meerab? She said Murtassim wasn’t toxic.
I love Yumna and Wahaj so I will continue watching their dramas in the future too (and excuse this as a bad judgement call) but I really wanna know what was the rationale behind writing this contract breach scenario in the original script.

  • @thameenarts

Writing a MR scene was unnecessary & awful, choosing to act it was bad decisions both on Yumna & Wahaj’s part, directing it while keeping it in was also bad and editing last week’s promo while sensationalising MR was clearly traumatic to many, many, many women. HOWEVER the absolutely most disgusting, arrogant & humiliating part is played by the production team and Abdullah Kadwani, tweeting ’we urge the audiences to wait AND NOT JUMP TO CONCLUSIONS’ which was followed by a most atrocious and ridiculous voice-over manouvre ever. So NO apologies, NO acknowledgement of misjudging that MR would be traumatic (and utterly bonkers), NO recognition and instead writing ’don’t jump to conclusions’ while having done exactly that which we all knew and concluded. Guys, I can take bad writing or acting but this type or arrogance-driven humiliation is many steps too far; do you think we’re all stupid? This was the first geo drama I was watching & clearly never again. Just who do you think you are, MR producer, and which world do you live in, Ms writer?

Why am I still upset? Although I should be glad that what we all thought would happen didn’t happen because that would’ve been devastating but still I feel sad. Just as many of us here, I too am a huge fan of TB right since the first episode and have been contributing to its success sometimes watching an episode more than once! But I feel cheated! The writer really took the audiences for granted. We felt Meerab’s helplessness when she finds out about her parents and then forced marriage and were rooting for her and applauded her head strong mentality.
And then Murtasim, our Hero whom we loved and adored even respect so much for being a true man- always standing up for the weak, making right decisions for his people, taking a stand in front of his mother for his wife and most important how he dealt with his wife after he realized that he’s fallen in love with her! Absolutely loved that- I mean we haven’t seen someone like him in Pak dramas recently where the norm was becoming toxic and macho. He was like a breath of fresh air! I even made my husband watch some of his romantic scenes but he wasn’t really interested lol since he hardly watches dramas and brushed it off as aap or app ke dramey!
We really did put Murtasim on a pedestal and appreciated the gentleness that he handled Meerab with.
So coming back to ep 47- yes the narrative was changed since there was so much backlash and uproar on social media and the makers had to do it. But the real disappointment is with the writer, what was she thinking! That’s what makes me so upset still- you gave us his man who’s making all the right moves- madly in love with his wife ( yes, I cried with him when he confessed his love during the photography scene) always standing up for her, caring for her- and then bam you destroy him! Why did the writer even think about MR, why? You know that’s what was coming, we saw it in the promos- why did she first elevate his stature so much and then do this! This is something so unforgivable, and then to hint that it would be a happy ending meaning Meerab would had to forgive him! What! No! He’s the man who forgave his worst enemy, he’s the man who didn’t kill Rohail at the apartment after finding Meerab there, he even forgave his sister for all she did then why he couldn’t hold himself together this time- for the person whom he loves so much. When I watched ep 46 last week- the last 5 minutes were nothing short of shocking- I’m in the US and it is uploaded on TH-cam at 12PM and I watch it on my lunch break on my phone with my ear buds! (who can wait till 8PM) I gasped so loud when she slapped him even more when she spat- was not expecting that! She definitely over reacted- this is Haya who she knows by now has evil intentions- just couple of weeks ago when she was praying she told her that I knew everything and was watching your every move and also when Murtasim has repeatedly told her that she mean nothing to him then Meerab should have listened to him and slapped Haya.
It was really hard to follow the episode 47- their words were not following their actions for the obvious reasons. They could have ended the story here when she comes back- didn’t need to add Rohail back- Meerab had finally realized her feelings for Murtasim so she should’ve confessed- have a cute scene where she rips the contract and they live happily ever after considering the fact that it is ep 46 already.
But they had to put us through this torture- I know these are fictional characters in a fictional story but still we become so attached to them- we root for them cry with him laugh with them.
Yumna is absolutely a delight to watch. But what can I say about Wahaj! I think I’m a fan for life, he is living breathing Murtasim I don’t think any other actor could have done justice to this role. His romantic scenes reminds me of SRK- how he used to romance his heroines! Sky’s the limit for Wahaj, this is just the beginning!
I’m the first one to watch TB on Wed and Thurs and MPHT on Mon- but what a drag that is becoming I’m only watching it for Wahaj! I wish they would stop showing in Pak dramas that if a husband or wife is talking to another man or woman then just jump to the conclusion that they’re cheating- come on we’re in year 2023 for crying out loud!
I think I’m going to give Pak dramas a break after these two and Kuch Ankhi- we become so invested in them just to be disappointed.
I’ve never written this much on a public platform before but it was building up since last week and had to let it out!

Tere Bin was successful because it started as a feel good romance. It would have been great to end it on that note without making it a soap opera. People would have loved to watch it again and again with spectacular chemistry from the lead pair, so in the long run it would have made more financial sense on views for the producers. Now people just jump to the 5 minutes of substance in each episode to see where the story goes and dread watching it again. Not a smart business move to drag this drama!!!

I feel Murtism is actually a guy right out of the writer’s own sexual fantasies. The looks, the charisma , the sex appeal, a caring and a considerate husband.
It feels she wants to protect Murtism in every scenario , even after the rape ( if they had taken the rape route) by showing his deep guilt and pain.
Unfortunately , that comes at the cost of throwing Meerub under the bus constantly. Even now , it’s her who threw herself on him and he is made out this super generous guy who feels sorry for having sex with her.

This episode was senseless. It was obvious marital rape happened. But due to the criticism, they cut out the scene where Haya tells Meerub tell leave Murtasim’s life and go to Karachi. Furthermore, Meerub crying on the floor and leaving the house is a big deal as well as Murtasim smashing the mirror so its obvious they changed the episode & voiceovers because the voiceovers made no sense. The voiceovers did not match what happened.

I wish everyone would acknowledge that the real hero of Tere Bin is only and only YUMNA ZAIDI! She has saved a bad character , a flawed script, murtasim’s character and Wahaj Ali. She deserves more and more credit. Whilst I strongly believe that MR should never have been part of the narrative but considering it had been shot already they should have gone ahead with it and let Murtasim’s character take the fall. Maybe he was meant to be grey. So what if he was not to end up as the perfect hero. I dont know why people feel more comfortable with hating the heroine than the hero. As much as I have loved wahaj ali as Mk , i wish he had the strength to go ahead with what he had signed up for and then take the backlash. In the current scenario everyone from the writer, producers to wahaj have saved their face and sacrificed yumna zaidi. If they had shown the MR, then meerab’s reluctance to accepting Murtasim would have finally made some sense but now they have further messed up Meerab. This is so unfair to Yumna. In Each and every scene , especially in the last confrontation, Yumna has outperformed wahaj but i feel she has not got the credit just because her character has been constantly sacrificed to save Murtasim!!!

    • @AlizehKhan-e1r
      @AlizehKhan-e1r ปีที่แล้ว

@@ayeza7267 i think Murtasim has been grey all along. He slaps his cousin, has anger issues, does soften a bit when he is trying to win meerab’s love but then when he feels she is not budging, he goes crazy and assaults her. I think the audiences may have misunderstood him as a hero when he wasn’t meant to be one. He warns meerab several times about the animal within him and delivers other such dialogues which suggest he is capable of violence. I think yumna agreed to do this scene because the assualt would have explained why she has been resisting Murtasim and not trusting him all along. And that would have somewhat redeemed meerab’s character. But now due to the pressure of the fans, they have changed the script and now the next few episodes will make no sense. In hindsight, perhaps they should have gone ahead with the assault and then we could have seen how Murtasim would have been punished for the deed!

I don’t think the makers deserve any accolades for changing the scene and further messing up the characters, it’s a sad day when artists and their hard work is thrown under the bus to save botched jobs of writers, directors and production houses. Meerab’s character once again saves Murtasim the pious, I feel Yumna’s character has been repeatedly slighted to save the hero at her expense. I’ve been trying to find a storyline that fits the scenes that were showed and the voiceovers and honestly nothing makes sense but this is the closest I’ve come and it relates to what you had said about shame:
Meerab consummated her marriage with Murtasim in the heat of the moment without giving it a second thought but once it was over she realized she lost the one thing she always thought she had control over. When she first decided to marry Murtasim she said something along the lines of I won’t cry anymore but I’ll make them (The Khan’s) cry. So after the consummation she may have felt shame or disgusted with herself that she wasn’t able to hold herself to a higher standard. I do also think she has a lot of conflict that hasn’t been resolved in her bc her marriage to Murtasim was technically forced bc she felt like she had no way out otherwise she would be homeless. Everyone betrayed her in the start but this time it feels like she betrayed herself because she gave into her desires, the one thing she told herself she wouldn’t do and why she always held back from accepting Murtasim. Meerab obviously has trust issues and that’s a wound that just got deeper with herself.
Now when it comes to Murtasim, his reaction was so exaggerated in the edited scenario but I like to tell myself is that the reason he’s so upset/ashamed is because of Meerab’s reaction. In the moment he gave in bc Meerab consented but when he saw Meerab being so upset he assumed she didn’t want this (bc obviously they don’t talk and never communicate). And Meerab has never explicitly told him she loves him so he thinks he betrayed her trust and he should’ve been the bigger person and stopped (even though again it was consensual). So he feels the guilt thinking Meerab regrets her decision.
This show has really gone off the rails and I wish they had just reshot it and ended it in 2 episodes but looks like we’re in for another 6-8 episodes of misery.

I think Aamna is not happy with the Tere Bin track at all. She is well aware that how much damage has been made. She does not want to use harsh words or smash the team. For the very first time I felt her words are not going with her emotions that is why she just wanted to roast it. She kept it quite calm and simple. I liked it because she has great command on her words/emotions. She was the only critic who was continuously against the slap of Murtasim. It was mentioned in the article she wrote on Wahaj Ali.
On the other hand , in an interview Yumna said that Murtasim is not a bad man at all people were assuming wrong from the trailer. I think she thinks its ok for a man to force himself on his wife while he is in anger . So it was not a big thing for the whole team as nobody gave it a thought until the release of trailer. Actors also need to think a lot about the seriousness of topics. This is also a lesson for those who think screen doest not leave any impact on audience.

#terebin this was just ridiculous episode.... Actually i am digest reader for the last 20 years and unfortunately writers glorify such masculine characters who even forced themselves toward their female partners. Marital rape happens in every second story and writers don't even realise that its toxic. The same is in case of writer #nooranmakhdoom. If she wants to portray meerub pregnant this could have happened with consent before the escape of marrium as both were having feelings. And the final dispute could be the marium's escape. I felt meerub triggered him by slapping and spitting on him... But yes the whole drama is a mess now...

Its truly heart breaking to feel that Murtasim's words of "Ajeeb sa dard hota hain idhar idhar," pointing to his heart, are so relatable. The drama could have still achieved the same success had they shown a happy bedroom scene where the misunderstandings were resolved and both characters confided in each other. Unfortunately, everything has been ruined by this poor story line, and I feel like my five months have been wasted. Despite this, we cannot deny that there is an undeniable chemistry between the two lead actors, which makes them so special in our eyes. We are watching only for #yumhaj .However, I just can't bear it now when a channel shares posters with captions such as 'chartbuster' or 'millions of views'. If only I could show production houses that without chemistry between its leads, the drama is horrible, to say the least. Stop producing such erroneous scripts...Dil se sachi mein aah nikalti hain iss story ko dekhkey..kya ho sakta tha..aur kya bana diya!!production walein agar audience ki thodi shun ley toh age chalkey kuch logical dramas bhi produce karengey.Awam mein zyaada akal hain than the entire team of harpalgeo channel and 7th sky..sky mein nahi paataal lok rakho apna naam.stories aisi hain..ki dhartilok mein nahi patallok mein jagah milni chahiye.......😡 #sheerdisappointment

Murtasim shaadi ke baad achanak se itni mohabbat ki poocho mat. They could have shown slowly slowly falling fall each other. Unhe show karna chahiye tha car accident ke baad murtasim realises how much he loved meerub and meerub too. Aur phir meerub thoda down ho jaati, akadti nahi, zaleel nahi karti balki dono time ke saath saath compatible ho jaate. Dono ke normal scene hote jaise meerub batati ki wo kaise Karachi mein rehti thi. Murtasim apni baat batata, dono apne bachpan ki baatein share kartein. The best way to go about the episode without reshooting or that crappy editing was to show Murtasim shutting the door as if he is going to assault her but stops at the last moment and tell Meerub how badly he loves her and how upset he has been with her behavior towards their relationship....then his devastation & regret would have been justified. While Meerub's breakdown and so much pain would have been shown due to her actions (asking Miriam to run away or spitting on her husband and other shizz she has been doing so far) and the realization that what she did to him was wrong and how toxic they have been to each other despite how they feel for each other...so she leaves to probably I don't know to grow some sense or something. Then we could have had a leap and years later seen two actual grown-up adults reconciling.

Even my friends teenage daughter could do a better job! Nooran has actually written a poor script all along with tarnishing Meerub’s character now she decided to make the very non toxic hero she created to be a rapist! Which we viewers after 45 episodes came to adore and couldn’t believe he could do this, nor could Meerub stoop this low to spit and slap him!

We would finally get the episode we were all waiting for...but nooo writer doesn't want us happy

I think we were trying to save Murtasim which resulted in this huge uproar not only for murtasim but for the story itself. It's simply because we as women saw some of our own reflection in Meerub regardless of all her flaws and we all felt that we DO NOT wish to be assaulted by anyone in life. Fathers do not wish their daughters to get assaulted and brothers not wanting their own sisters to get assaulted by their husbands.

We don't have problem with MARITAL RAPE being shown on screen. Here, the problem was that they had build Murtasim's character in such a way in these 45 episodes that no one in this UNIVERSE would digest the fact that he would rape his wife. Wahaj made Murtasim such a likeable beloved character that we were emotionally invested and attached to his character beyond anyone's imagination. And anything extreme that he would do, would have had impacted big time to his audience.
Unfortunately the recent plot changes brought Meerab in bad limelight again. It is so illogical that a man and wife after having CONSENSUAL sex are upset and crying and breaking mirrors. Are we so foolish that we don't understand that this was a clear cut MARITAL RAPE which the makers tried to do damage control last minute by adding voice overs.
    I'm so dissapointed 😞

Firstly, I'm glad that the makers paid heed to the criticism and made changes as much as they could.
But Man, they made a joke out of the drama...koi bhi track daal do, kuch bhi plot line ho bas TRPs aur views mil jayen...TB never meant to be a great drama in terms of writing but it still got so much popularity that no other pakistani drama has gotten because of yumhaj and their chemistry and siraj ul haq's direction but the script did have some great romantic moments but over all the script was average. Had they ended it earlier with 30-35 episodes, it would have been remembered as the most popular drama that gave us a character like murtasim to cherish forever and the most loved lead pair but now it would be remembered because of this fiasco. Kahan se kahan le aaye.
And I'm not making a joke out of this whole situation but I literally cracked up when murtasim said "woh khud ko nahi rok payi, tum toh rok sakte they"😂 Meerub was admitting "tumhari marzi se hua toh ab tum kyun ro rhi ho" I mean... seriously?? If they consensually consummated their marriage then why both of them seem so upset??? Aur yeh ki iss baat par meerub ghar chhod kar hi chli jaye. That's bizarre. They saved murtasim but put meerub under the bus again.
They literally took it to the 90s Bollywood era...I think they heard Aamna out, when she said "yeh I hate you I hate you se I love you par aa jayenge"😂 In my mind I was thinking why are they so sad about consummation if it was consensually done but we all know the reason.
But on a serious note, I'm very disappointed that they made a joke of out of this drama. It could've been all n all romantic drama but these twist and turns made it a crap.
I was furious (to say the least) when I watched the last episode and promo but I'm sorry this episode looked funny to me.
And obviously it's clear that they have originally added MR track but had to remove it...and Nooran makhdoom was so confident about this twist that she actually said in her interview "maza aayega contract breach mei" thank you so much to the writer for doing this to us and for ruining your own show. Isey kehte hain apne pair par khud kulhadi marna. And why did yumna and wahaj agree to do this sequence(MR)...why didn't they realize this could go wrong while doing it, they could've saved it by resisting to do that but they did...I know It's their job but actors too have a social responsibility and they should never undermine that.
But now that they have removed the MR angle and saved murtasim..I wonder how are they going to save the plot but I guess plot is their least of the concerns.
P.s the only good thing about this episode was Yumna snd wahaj's performance...Yumna is a powerhouse of talent. Although I felt, her expressions did not match with the voice over but her expressions and her condition when she was roaming on road after leaving the house, said everything. It's only yumna that is saving the character of meerub otherwise it would be a disaster.

HOW TO MAKE SENSE OF TERE BIN !
The root of this drama at a very basic level, is internal conflict - between Meerub’s principles and her attraction to Murtasim. She is brought up as a liberated, progressive young woman by her adoptive parents and prides herself on protecting the rights of others. Friends of the opposite sex, and one of these male friends hosting a birthday for her, is not seen as controversial, she’s a typical progressive “city” girl. Her adoptive parents are clearly open minded and let her dream that she will become a lawyer. From this backdrop, she is yanked out of her life, told she is adopted and that she must marry her feudalist cousin, ending her life as she envisages it. She appears to have very little control over her future, and in desperation, demands an impractical agreement from her future husband. Sadly, we learn that this is also a compromise for him, as he too does not agree that she should be forced into this union. As his love for her grows, she continues to struggle even as she is attracted to him. She cannot let herself “give in” to this caring individual, because he and this new life represents the end her of own individuality, and somehow “validate” the injustice of what she had to go through. Time and again, she attempts to “do the right thing” in her view (and usually fails even though her intention is pure). While Murtasim charms her with his constant attention and claims of love, she prefers to believe that someone like her can never be one with a guy who appears to have such traditional views of marriage and family. She likes the attention, is attracted to him, hates the dynamic between him and Haya, yet cannot allow herself to accept him. Haya fans the flames effectively, and her plots to create misunderstandings between Meerub and Murtasim, and eventually take a toll on that relationship when Meerub is sent to Karachi after her attempts to help Maryam unite with her supposed true love. Meerub is so enthusiastic about her cause that common sense does not prevail, all she can see is “victim” of the feudalist lifestyle who needs her help - unfortunate and undoubtedly a segway to keeping the lead couple #terebin.
On the night of Maryam’s nikkah, a lot of us were looking forward to their reconciliation. Meerub has been gradually realizing that Murtasim shares her values on a deeper level (he helps people, takes the high road (forgives the older Malik), protects his own), trusts her, reiterates his love for her at every opportunity, will do anything to keep her in his life, and that she is undeniably attracted to him. If all went well, one would expect them to reflect on events, profess their love, and a beautiful union would ensue.
As luck would have it, with another one of Haya’s tricks afoot, this misunderstanding is the cause of an ugly faceoff between the two protagonists. One could argue that while Meerub knows full well that Haya is totally capable of this, she “prefers” to believe Murtasim is not innocent either as that would mean acknowledging that he truly loves her and accepting her own attraction to him. Tsunami like emotions create a scenario where they fight and then surrender to each other, once that always open bedroom door is finally locked! When the waves subside, each of them must face the reality of “how” the marriage was consummated. Meerub must acknowledge that her attraction to her husband proved stronger than her own values, and Murtasim has to live with the fact that he was not strong enough to hold out until she acknowledged her love for him. Certainly not traditionally romantic, although I would argue far more powerful, especially for Meerub, whose attraction for Murtasim is like an electric undercurrent (think Cat on a hot tin roof - Elizabeth Taylor/Paul Newman). Sparks fly, and the rest is history.
For those of us who believe in fate, this was one such fateful incident. Meerub’s path to realizing that they are meant for each other will not be easy - she said as much herself. Absence makes the heart grow fonder - once he is no longer there to profess his undying love, we hope she will reflect on his qualities, and how much he changed to be her ideal partner (the old Murtasim would not have forgiven his enemies, tolerated a sister’s affair or encouraged that Meerub continue her studies). The bond that was created between them in the time they were together will only strengthen with her pregnancy, and hopefully she will realize that they are not so different after all!
Any notion that their union was anything but consensual would create an irredeemable scenario for the progression of the drama, as it would pit Meerub against Murtasim yet again, and could only result in them living their lives #terebin. We will never know for sure what the writer intended - perhaps she will categorically confirm or deny this at some point. A happy ending is absolutely within reach now, but I do hope that along the way Meerub realizes that while they started out as two people from very different backgrounds, they have evolved into two individuals who not only share key values, their “ishq” for each other compels them to spend the rest of their lives together.

Thank you for the review, guys. And for helping us make sense of the situation. We are heart broken that they played with us as an audience. I just about started watching Pak dramas, but now I'm put off watching anything further. It breaks my heart to say this but I am disappointed in Wahaj and Yumna. I trusted the actors when starting to watch TereBin, but I feel let down. The TB team just seems to be so proud of their ratings, TRPs and keeps posting only about this on social media. They haven't acknowledged us as their audience or our sentiments. We have been badly hurt. :( I don't know what they're so proud of.. :(

The reason Tere Bin got so out of control is to become "trending" and to grab eyeballs. So disappointed with how this series is going.
Now when I look at the poster I can see Murtasim looking sinister.

actually, now i am thinking that how did the makers not see this backlash coming? this show has been garnering views and ratings like never before since its starting . it has been getting unprecedented love. more than anything else, the love for murtasim and wahaj especially for playing the character, has been unmatched. how then, did they not see that murtasim taking such an action would literally shatter the audience? iska andaaza pehle ho jaana chahiye tha aur pehle hi reshoot kar lena chahiye tha. maybe they thought people would be okay with MR being slipped in for sensationalism, but that’s just unacceptable.

Murtasim locked the door and approached meerab in anger her dupatta fells off , he throws things around scaring her sone more & asks her if he decides to take her then and there there is no escape ..tears of disbelief in her eyes melts murtasim s anger as if seeing meerab afraid of him has punched him in his gut..he moves back and says he did everything in his power to give her respect and value her consent in the relationship...despite living together and having feelings for her it was him who always held himself back because acc to him " merrab ki marzi & khushi were above his desires" ..but now he has realised that no matter what he does meerab would never accept him ..she will always have rohail in her life .. and now he doesn't want to be with a girl who spits on him and thinks he deserves to be bound by a contract to stay away from her ..
He goes in washroom cries and breaks mirrors ..
Meanwhile meerab feels stupid for coming to wedding to see murtasim and make things right she has flashbacks of " aurat mard ko mukamal krti hai" she removes all the jewellery in anger ( she had dressed up for murtasim) she cries her makeup get smudged and hair undone .. she sits on floor and cries her heart out ..
Haya enters taunts meerab ..meerab holds her hand and throws her out of the room ..realizes that it might be haya s plan and murtasim might be telling truth all along ..
Murtasim comes out and is about to leave she holds him back and tells that she has always only trust one man in her life i.e her dad and the trust was broken brutally.... he gave her freedom to live express and snatched it all in just a blink .. and she felt orphaned and was forced into a marriage with murtasim by the same man...
And now she has started feeling for murtasim in karachi .. she missed him and realised that he is an important part of her life that she cant live without.. she also admits that maryam was not the only reason she came for the wedding.. she couldn't bear that murtasim thinks she has rohail in her life...she confesses that she cant see murtasim not trusting her ..his trust in her means alot to her ..
She moves ahead and holds his injured hand bandages it and they both heal each other ☺
    ....
That is what i wanted to happen ..
    P. S in the morning maybe murtasim can tease her about the contract that last night it seemed it was more difficult for meerab to abide by the conditions than murtasim 😂

Hasan and Aamna, you are both THE best critics. I love watching your show, you are informed, balanced and witty in equal measure. Aamna, you so articulately explained the Islamic reason why men are not permitted to force themselves on their wives . It causes pain and this is not permissible in our religion, simple!
I am so pleased you reviewed episode 47 today as I couldn’t wait to hear your thoughts. I think the makers tried their best to salvage the situation however, in doing so, I agree they have caused confusion. That said, despite the weak cover up, I am relieved Murtasim was able to claw back his saint like Muslim husband persona. Why Meerub is crying and ashamed is beyond anyone? I mean, why should she be consumed with guilt, like, come on dear, your husband is Murtasim, need I say more lol! Thanks for yet another fab review Hasan and Aamna, your fan from the UK 😊

  • @malihasharmin8879
    @malihasharmin8879 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Just My Thoughts:
They could have executed the plot differently but nicely. For example, when Merub came to Mariam's nikah and Murtasim, she could express her affection and love to Murtasim so that they could come on good terms with each other. As the deal wasn't broken yet, they could have shown some jealousy/teasing of Merub for Murtasim in response to Merub taking Murtasim into the room and breaking the contract. And they could handle each other's intimate feelings beautifully. Then they could create a misunderstanding with Haya so that they could enter the separation phase.
So the same night they could broke the contract , Mirab could be free (uski azadi ki din) and cry a lot. With this, they could justify their wedding day night conversation.

Apparently, Meerab was fuming in so much anger that they had sex in the middle of the fight. Tere Bin is proven to be a real enemies to lovers because out of all the moments she could've given in she did it when they were both angry.

Yumna🧡🧡🔥🔥🔥that’s it… she’s the saving grace of tere bin❤ Her each & every single expressions were just so on point… she is one of the finest actress🧡🧡most of the time all the reviewers/ people are so madly in obsessed with their so called charming hero that they do not even want to give credit to yumna but man u have to accept the fact that yumna has given life to Meerab’s character❤ the production house has done real injustice with her this time & it’s not fair at all.. just to save your Hero you can’t just destroy your female lead.. that’s absurd…

Totally agreed with hassan and amna. We r so happy that they listen us and made changes for viewer's. Sad part is many viewer is still asking for real episode which includes marital rape. We should be thankful that they removed the wrong part and save such a lovely character like #murtasim and #meerasim i know some odd happened in episode and story bcz the sudden change but m happy they didn't make love story in to tragic love story. Now we have wait to see how they serve next episodes with this scenario that i m interested to see.

It's a big lesson to writer, producer, director and actors not to do this mistakes in future. They ruined such a beautiful drama just to get gain trp...and i request actors like yumna and wahaj not to shoot scenes like spitting, slapping, marital rape..better leave the project in between...although they perform extraordinary but it gave a bad impact on society...giving a wrong message...because of backlash changes they made was also absurd..It's was better to reshoot and gave us a happy ending as hassan and amna said.
So,it's humble request not to play with the emotions of audience in future🙏.

I think drama makers should have ended the show at episode 46 after this backlash. And they can come up again with season 2 with a good storyline where Meerub will confess her love and try to win Murtasim's heart because now Murtasim will be in Meerub's place. That way they will get time to reshoot. Audience would be happy to see yumhaj again and drama makers will be back in business.

This episode of tere bin was the most hilarious episode ever 🤣 lol. It was so senseless but that is what tere bin is from the start ( even more now yes). But it was nice that they edited it still better than the original one I think.
