Beach metal detecting with Mal & CTX3030 at Blackpool, UK 20th May 2014

On my travels again to Blackpool with the CTX in the constant search for the Bling Bling. Few nice finds made the journey worthwhile but did not know it till I cleaned them up.

u had a good spin on this adventure with that 17" footprint.

Hey Mal,
Another nice detecting video. I really like your video's. The editting and background music is spot on. The spiral pattern seems very useful for vast search area's. I'm going to remember that one.
I'm searching with an Excal II and self made shaft that enables long times searching on land, eventough I also search in the water here in the Dutch rivers and lakes. I am also using a Stavrscoop that I think is very nice. I am planning on doing some video's using a GoPro this summer if I have the patience for it..

Hi Stefan, thanks for the comment. Yes the spiral search does help in finding more in a hot spot and no issues with missing anything. I also use a Excalibur II with my home made shaft. Have you seen the video on how I made it?
The GoPro will give you some great footage but my biggest gripe about it is the straight lines being curved. Water horizons run downhill at each side. Not appealing to my eye.

***** Yes, I've seen the video. But I build my own version on it based on various models I've seen on the web. I'll make a video on it as an introduction to my detecting video's. I think im going to use both GoPro and usual camera to make te video's. The advantage of a GoPro that it captures a big screen and I will have my hands free.
