A good tip for pitted front forks is to fill the damaged area with super glue then rub down with very fine grit paper. Leaves a very smooth finish and prevents the fork seals getting damaged by the rough pitting. Great videos by the way throughly enjoy watching them. I’ve just finished a restoration on a 1976 Suzuki GT250 2 stroke twin. 👍

@4:43 same on a GS500. Take the bolt out, jam a screwdriver in the gap. Lever practically falls off

hello .. I am a strict followers who live in turkey. your projects are great.. I congratulate your team. I have an amateur bobber project. I tried various methods of applying white stripe on the sidewalls. but I could not get a long-term performance. There are alternatives in my research such as asphalt line paint, leather seat paint and plastic bottom. I do not want to experience situations such as deformation and separation of paint from the surface after application. For this reason, I would like your advice on the right paint material and the correct application method. Has it deformed over time? Has the paint peeled off? Can you suggest me?

If you've not already sorted the forks out, the ones from a rebel 250 fit but would lower it slightly.

Looking good Mark a Yamaha Viagra eh, how about a run through of your bike collection. You might want to get the bushes changed in the forks too as your having them serviced. New bushes in front and rear wheels, head stock and swing arm too?

Hey BikerBits, I was wondering if you’ve seen the bar end indicators. I was thinking about getting them for my virago.
I dropped my bike a couple days ago on the way back from Melbourne and broke the rear indicator so I can’t go back to stock with the ones I got from you, only got 3 good ones now lol.

Gday, is the gear selector on a master spline for when you take the plastic chain cover off? Or did you jave to mark it?

Install some fork gators on it. Covers up the blemishes and looks cool too.
