He does not have to be as comfortable with the idea of non-monogamy/polyamory necessarily but he is just being hyperbolic with that claim.
He, in neither one of those two examples, claimed that it's his position. Just that argentinian psychoanalysts in contrast to the classical/old western psychoanalysts, would call monogamy pathological.
Yes he stated in the beginning that polyamory/polygamy isn't love, but the claims of these presumed argentinian Analysts, are not his Argumentations - neither are the western claims.
@@noa7399 He claimed, in this same video that you are commenting on, that this is what someone would be told if they were preferring to be in a relationship with one person. (you can try watching the video).
Again, it's horseshirt. He is dreaming up a scenario.
@@Tao_Tology He's not. That is what is currently in vogue in psychoanalysis in the country. Buenos Aires has been called the "world capital of psychoanalysis," with a high density of psychoanalysts and psychotherapists, and the current vogue there is to pathologize "hegemonic" sexualities, ie old-fashioned monogamy.
@@StephenDeagleLol, yes and where a monogamous couple will, as standard, be told not to be.

Who left the asylum door open ?
Tell Slavoj this: Sex and love are 2 different things, a man wants many sex partners but only 1 love partner. We love our children, we do not want to have sex with our children. Love is to protect our family beyond our will to survive, to ensure a greater survival chance for the offspring. Wanting to have many sexual partners as a man is to spread the semen. I am shocked he is so uneducated about this area, but sadly most people are
It seems you like to generalize as much as he
@@xenphoton5833 because love is a pretty clear evolutionairy trait: family aka offspring over yourself to increase survival odds. It's almost like colors, they kind of objectively exist too even though they are a subjective experience
@@JuliusUniqueThe survival of your offsprings depends on the quality/type of love between a couple. If the love is conditional, it is weakened and may end up in a divorce or worse,: in creating trauma in the upbringing of the children. If the love is sincere and not conditional on keeping the family together for the sake of the children, the offsprings will have the best chance to survive and become good parents themselves.
It is primarily the quality of the love between a couple which helps the survival of offsprings.
