You need more subs, this is just such a wholesome channel. You got my sub man.
@@lalfam3051 I came here a few months ago and totally agree. Since I have come to greatly enjoy it here, it's great to see more ppl find it and like it
Thanks for the sub I appreciate it!
Love this channel! You've really filled an important void by looking at original Xbox games and demo discs etc. I watch every video you upload!
Glad you like the videos so much! I appreciate it!
One thing I really appreciated about Demon Stone was that they allowed you to automate the upgrading of gear. It's too easy sometimes to fall into a loot comparison spiral, and this is not the kind of game where I want to do that. That simple choice kept the game moving forward while providing incremental upgrades to the characters, I sometimes wish there was something like that in modern games.
This reminds me of World of Warcraft in the way that it looks. Great channel, I applaud your content choices! I love that you cover the original Xbox! I recently started on a quest to purchase many of the great games for the original Xbox, and I am using your channel as my guide. I was a bit to old at the time to enjoy collecting and playing the original Xbox when it was released. So for me it feels like a fresh new experience. I grew up playing PC games in the mid 80s to early nineties so these graphics are the pinnacle of what I remember, and hold great nostalgia for me personally.
I'm glad you enjoy the videos so much! You will have to me which games you've gotten you've enjoyed the most
Wow I haven’t thought of this game in a while, you unlocked a memory for me
Your channel really brings back nostalgia I had the first xbox i didnt really have many games for it since i had no money but it makes me happy to be apart of it. 👍🏻
Happy to bring back great memories!
You don't see many people talking about this game. It's awesome you did! 🤘I've only played it on the PS2 but it's still one of my favorite games on that system. Great game! It gets tough but i love hack and slash and action rpgs so this was perfect for me lol 🤘🤘🤘
I was pleasantly surprised to see this after your recent community poll that featured this game. As someone that grew up playing pen and paper D&D I have a soft spot for this game. I absolutely loved that it was written by R.A. Salvatore and featured Drizzt and having two of my favorite actors in Patrick Stewart and Michael Clarke Duncan really puts it up there for me. Honestly I'm typically not a huge fan of action games with a fixed camera angle but I maker an exception with this game (although I would've preferred a Ninja Gaiden style camera ultimately. Great video as always!
I'm glad you enjoyed the video! I agree that a camera system like Ninja Gaiden could have elevated this game to a higher level.
Have this on my shelf, maybe it's time to give it a try. I had forgotten about those realms
I just bought this game at a secondhand store a few days ago without knowing it was a D&D game (it had a generic secondhand cover that only said Demon Stone).
I finished it in a day, it's definitely unique, and there's a lot about it I really really enjoyed. If you play it using the switch character button as your dedicated dodge, focusing exclusively on building all of their meters, it gives the game a really interesting rhythm. It becomes clear over time though that the game's only trick is spawning a Dynasty Warriors amount of incredibly simple enemies on screen, and there are only like 3 combos. I really appreciate it as a perfectly low-mid level game I'll probably play again in a year or two. I'd never heard of it before I bought it a few days ago, crazy that you happened to upload today
I never thought to play it in that way. That sounds really interesting!

The game completely changed when I realized the other 2 characters almost never die when you're not controlling them.
Playing it more like a dedicated brawler can get really tiresome, A+B+R A+B+B over and over again until the encounter is over. Making it into a game of building all three meters so you can use the super move gives you three distinct stages of tension building up to a payoff. Fill the fighter's meter, move on to the rogue, fill hers, move on to the sorcerer, rinse, repeat.
Almost all of the bosses will be archaic, frustrating, and bloated though. Really interesting game
Always enjoyed thìs game & while it's backwards-compatible (running very well on 360), it ought to be preserved on newer Xbox consoles. SSI or whoever owns the AD&D/Forgotten Realms IP should work w/MicroSoft to get them to publish it on the Xbox Store.
Demons Stone is a great game and you can see how Stormfront made the jump between Two Towers and Return Of The King between them, Dungeons and Dragons Dark Alliance 1+2, and D&D Heroes are all great arpgs similar in vein to Diablo in loot collecting but are very story and lore based, as is Fallout Brotherhood Of Steel
Don’t forget about Champions of Norrath and Champions: Return to Arms. Not D&D but may as well be since they were based on EverQuest which is essentially D&D.
Another youtuber i watch has a channel all about covering D&D and other tabletop properties video game adaptations so itll be cool when he covers this
I never finished the game, but that's largely because I ended up buying it like 3 years into the 360 / PS3 generation. I bought it on the PS2, got about three missions in and never finished it. Guess I was too busy playing the new shiny stuff.
I’m now wondering what Koei could do with this in a Dynasty Warriors type game with a D&D / LOTR setting
Its one of those games that i remember perfectly from its cover as a kid vut actually have never played it
Although the arenas where camera perspective changes during certain parts, is reminding me of the LOTR:ROTK gameplay
Nvm, i just got to the part where you mentioned the developers having ties to the LOTR:TTT. Makes so much sense then
Really nice animations for back in the day. Can’t say the same for the sound design. The cartoony sounds of swords swinging sounds grating after a while.
never ever heard of this one! you can definitely see the similarities with two towers, another GREAT game
Never heard of this but gee is that art style dark fantasy! I like the style even if I'm not a big fan of H&S genre
That box art is so much better than the one we got in the uk
Dude never 👎 heard of this shit always quality road to 20 K !!
Looks very intresting! The only Hack & Slay from the DnD I played was Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance which is a bit like Diablo but not soo satisfied back in the day for me. I don't know how it is nowadays. Never played it much afterwards. But this here the style and the combat looks really cool :)
I loved both of the Dark Alliance games, there was also Dungeons and Dragons Heroes that's a great aarpg in the same vein
Yet another game that sounds pretty fun to play
I just finished this game last year the idea was cool how it was made by the same people who made the lord of the rings two towers but the last level and boss is so broken and hard to beat even on easy lol
I remember the PC Version of the Game and really it was cool Game, even if it doesn't have coop, if I remember it correctly :D
I've had this in my collection for awhile now and kept meaning to try it out. Kinda convinced me to stop putting it off.
This video is right in my Q zone
The graphics clarity and framerate are all much better on the Xbox than the ps2
Secret memory unlocked
Do you have a discord? The link in profile doesn't work.
I updated the one on the channel main pain page as well as the description box. Let me know if it works.
No matter what the game all I know is that Camp Xbox does hold up
I appreciate that!
I'd play it, reminds me of the Lord of the Rings the Two Towers game.
Take a shot every time he said "cinematic"
Lmao you are asking people to get hurt 😵💫
Whats your gamertag, would love to have you on the friends list!
Looks like an action game or action RPG to me
Stormfront Studio is an insanely bad name for a studio lmfao
Why?
If I'm guessing correctly its because that is also the name of a white supremacist website I believe? The boys recently used it for a racist character because it carries that stigma. I would definitely have gone with a different name lol.
Was curious so did some searching. The studio actually predates the movement by a certain group dressed up as pointed headed ghosts.
The studio was 1988. The clan started using the term mid 90s for message boards online. You’d think once that had come to light they’d have changed name. But kinda irrelevant now since they went defunct in 2008 (sadly racists haven’t gone defunct)
Kept cringing the whole way through the video
@@jessehayes8052Read a book.
How about brute force and kingdome Come underfire Xbox OG
Both those are definitely on the to do list
@@campxbox you got today sir 1 sub+ keep going 🔥
I felt the combat was not as good as lord of the rings. In Demon Stone, when I hit an enemy, I didn't feel much of a "Thwack" indicating that I had a successful hit.
Disc Rot killed my copy of this games.
17:06 i hate Activision so much an evil company.
No couch co-op for a game in this genre is a suicidal move.
I mean the books kinda sucked
