I absolutely love these when i was younger and it was stupid of me i sold my masterpiece arms m10 and it worked flawless we all do dumb things when we are young
Great video! I could have bought an open bolt semi awhile back at a gun show, but these guns never did much for me. Evidently, the Army thought so also, as Gordon Ingram was never able to sell them in large numbers to any military, which is what motivated him to design this. John in Texas
Hollywood liked these MAC-10 guns in their movies. These M10 guns were used by the United States military S.O.G. and were designed to be fired with the silencer attached to the M10 for quiet killing at close range. Can you think of a full-auto .45acp machine gun any smaller than the M10 that can fire with a silencer attached to it ?
I had an open bolt Cobray M-10 "closed bolt" 9mm in the 80's. I always wondered why can't a closed bolt be converted to an open bolt then converted again to full auto? I was just wondering. Thx
On The Lamb anyone can drop in an original full auto bolt and drop in a full auto trigger system and a few other things and it will be full auto open bolt. You can buy all the full auto parts online you just can’t assemble them.
What is completely different from semi to auto. Like a parts list of exactly whats different between them and how they turned a open bolt full suto to semi.
WRONG on the history. The ATF didnt say they couldnt sell the full auto ones. They simply wanted to expand their market onto the title 1 semi auto markets. Title 2 guns, being the full auto ones. The stopped making them in 81 when the ATF declared certain open bolt semi autos (by name) as machine guns, due to how easy they were to convert. But for some reason the ATF didnt make people register them as such. They continued to sell full autos until Reagan sighed the FOPA in May of 1986. And closed bolt semi autos untill they went out business in the... late 80s(???) And the open bolt ban isnt an open bolt ban. Its only a ban on those on newly manufactured semi auto only open bolt models by name. It should/could be tossed out in court if we play our cards right.
Try putting a pencil behind the trigger, between trigger and grip, and try your cycle when trigger is pulled. Many of these RPB'S would shoot fast, wink, wink. I may have seen this work. Seems dudes were using small magnet from radio speaker instead of a pencil. If you see a open bolt at gun show ask dealer for a pen or pencil, and try it. Will freak the dealer out. I DO NOT OWN A RPB GUN.
Not sure. I think I bought mine (legally) in 1983. I almost went for an open bolt .45 he had available back then but wanted $850.00 for it in 83' which is like $1,600 in today's money. It wasn't a Cobray like mine but I think it was a real M.A.C. 10. The problem with full-auto Mac's is the cycle rate of 1,150 rpm. which can empty a 32 or 40 round magazine in less than 2 seconds. Very inefficient. Some H&K MP-5's have a select-fire feature for 3-round bursts, a way better option to conserve on ammo, I think.
back in mid 90's at the Gun Show in California they used to sell them about $600 to $700 comes with 2 Mags for Tec -9 9mm or .380 used to be $250 to $300
Why do I feel like I'm being watched after seeing this video?
I'm watching you now!

@Swag Lord IKR? The "civilian" M-10 (closed bolt; semi only) is no fun without the rock-n-roll switch, full suppressor and wire stock.
@@YoungTreEnt Thanks, I didn't know. The rules get more and more bizarre each day.
@@YoungTreEnt or you can put something behind the trigger so the bolt doesn’t catch the disconnect or just shave down the firing pin.
@@geoffnelson64 no. Open bolt.

The M11 can also be easily "trained" to bump fire 😊
Great overview thanks!
Why does it have 3 holes in the rear sight? Three holes for aiming?

Were any of these Cobray open bolt semi-auto M-10's made after June 21st 1982?

Good video nonetheless.

Any modification of the gun to make it full auto will get you 5 years in Federal Prison unless you are a licensed gun manufacturer.
I know, that's why I was just asking for a friend! ;-)
Should you get caught which would be extremely unlikely genius...
