A friend has a COBRAY MAC 10 Open Bolt 9MM with high capacity magazine's in immaculate condition. He wanted $3K and now $4K. A RPB MAC 10 .45 Auto is available at a decent price on Gunbroker. But concerned about part's needing replacement and magazine price's. Decisions...thinking about being practical and just purchasing a Masterpiece Arms MPA Defender in 9mm. Easy to bump fire too. I am retired young and have a range in my back yard. Plus a ton of inexpensive ammo I purchased a decade ago. Plus all the toyz I have acquired over several decades. Life is good. Stay safe and thanks for the review on a beautiful M10 simple design and compact design. I have two SIG Rattlers in .300 BLK and 5.56/.223. Plus a SIG MPX 9mm and all eat anything you feed them. Have wanted a MAC10 for over 30 years.
Get yourself a velocity arms vmac45 or build one, i dont think cobray or the old steel mpas are easy to find at all. The new ones ruin the cool factor imo. Just post videos please if you do.
I was thinking about buying my friends m11 380 open bolt for $2000 it looks like a mini mac 10 ive had a masterpiece arms m10 45 loved it sold it because when i was younger i was dumber
They usually say SAP M10. Yours looks like it has something different stamped in that spot? Interesting.. could be more collectible if it does. As for converting it if shit hits the fan.. it’s a lot easier to just grind off the top of that little trip than it is to cut or grind the bottom of the bolt off…. But of course neither is recommended as long as the law is still in place.
Hell yeah keep it. Prices are going up. 15 years ago a smg was 3k now they’re 7k. These will go up too. I’d rather have this because I could build a 300 lower and hide it when I want to play and save 5500.
No machining required… just a little welding and one of the 3 piece weld kits.. drill a couple holes, install the lower parts, slap the upper on it and ya got the same exact gun. If you want it to be factory identical you can go the frame flat route with a 12 ton press and a 150 dollar jig… weld builds are easier and work just as well, as long as you use a schematic or one of the original Cobray templates, it’s supposedly pretty easy… couldn’t tell ya because I have never attempted such a thing..
Stop spreading oil on it.. Omg all you need to do is store it in a plastic bag (good sealable one) and put some of those moisture absorbing packs that come in shoes. One coat of grease, put in a sealed container. Your gonna rub all the finish off it if you keep spreading that oil all over it.
Also not sure if you realize but theese are considered machiene guns by the atf because of how easy they are to modify and must be nfa registered to be legal. I wouldn't tell too many people you own this unless it has a tax stamp

Keep it!!! Wish I never let mine go. Sold it back in 2001.
How much did you sell it for?
I hope you did keep it. I just got my hands on a working half size one that shoots 2mm rounds, it's a hoot.
Great vid. Yup, there's a reason they outlawed open bolt guns illegal after 82' because it's absolutely stupid easy to make them full auto.
Yeah damn shame they did that.
Excellent video. Keep them coming!!👍👍👍

Could you do a video on assembly and disassembly of the bolt and buffer springs please. I'm new to your channel, great video

If you're selling it, I'll BUY IT...... I had a Cobray M-11 that is 9mm in the early '90s and it was cool but .45 is where it's @, man.
A .45 Auto was fired into an old style army helmet. It only made a dent. When fired with a 9mm, it went right through. .45 AUTO is the most popular.
Are the ribs on the side of the pistol grease traps ? None of the clones that have come out over the years have those on the side sadly
Wonderful machine pistol😊

U MUST BE FROM THE UK
Wish I had bought one when they were first available.....
The open bolt semis were $119,, need that time machine

@@andrejohnson6101 Do you think that hiding an illegal machine gun makes it legal?
@@535tonyyou some rat?
@@oldplace5 Nope, just trying to help the guy stay out of jail. He already told ATF what he wants to do in the video.
Try 3,500. I wouldn't sell that for a grand
You can use this gus trigger to make a Tommy Gun

Keep it
Never modify a fire arm
Who the fuck are the ATF fuck off
Anyone with good machining skills can make this gun from scratch i like 3 hours maximum 5
I dont think you even need to do any machining

@@BudGreene87 🤣🤣🤣thanks bro
Sell it and use the money toward a transferable M10/45 Machine gun.
Wouldn't sell for a grand

It is parkerized…..oil can not take it off as it isn’t a coating

No your wrong this is a preban opne bolt. There legal they were converted according to atf to semi auto.
They were declared MGs afterwards, but pistols already sold were grandfathered
Shut up you rat
