A daily dose of magnesium can prevent gout attacks because magnesium lowers uric acid levels. Since I have taken 500 mg of magnesium daily my gout attacks have completely disappeared; I wish my doctor would have told me this, he could have saved me years of pain and sleepless nights.

I looked and looked for a remedy for my gout. I had extreme, severe pain. I tried some expensive supplements, but I didn't see any results. Finally, I saw on someone's comment under a gout video, take baking soda. I followed his advice, one and a half teaspoons of baking soda, once in the morning and before bed. I mixed it with at least 16 oz of tart cherry juice (a natural anti-inflammatory). I also soaked my foot in hot water for 20 minutes in the morning and 20 minutes in the evening. I could tell a difference fairly quickly. The pain and sensitivity went down each day. After three or four days, I could walk normally and with no pain. Thanks for that comment.

I’ve dealt with gout for about 6 years now, it’s one of the worst pains I’ve ever experienced. I developed gout from heavy drinking in college.
For me I dont get it in my toes, it’s always my ankles.
I’m 29, active but 260lbs, but I get gout attacks pretty often (maybe once every couple of months).
I take 300mg allopurinol, but not sure if it actually does a good job managing gout.
Just wanted to hear what other people have done to overcome this horrible condition.
I will say, some home remedies I’ve found to be amazing are black cherry juice and a ton of celery for anyone who is experiencing gout. And for meals just do brown rice and eggs until it clears up.

If anyone needs advice on getting rid of gout, I would advise you to look at your diet such as this video lays out, but to also look into fixing your gut bacteria in addition to losing any excess weight. I lost weight, started eating a consistent diet that wasn't nearly as strict as these videos suggest you need to be, and started taking daily probiotics. I haven't had a flare up since. Your intestinal microbiota help with metabolozing of purine and uric acid. I don't know the person reading this, but if you have gout and aren't just eating ridiculous amounts of trigger foods - you probably have a problem with your gut bacteria, like I did. If your gut isn't helping, it puts the burden on your liver.

I am in my 30's and getting the gout more often now and I know it is due to my diet. It sucks because I live in Wisconsin and beer, burgers, cheese, brats, fried fish, pizza - all staples of a good time out with friends and everyone around here loves these foods - including me. It's easy to cut these foods out of my diet when the gout flares up, but slowly over time I find myself eating like crap again and I only realize it once it is too late. I have had this before and last time i chugged water with sugar free dilute juice in it about 4 litres a day and it went super fast around 1 or 2 days. Yesterday it came back and i drank about 3L of water and today I barely notice it but im still going to drink around 3L and i think it will be gone by tomorrow. Once you know what it feels like if you notice it starting again drink tons of water just not in one go

I’ve been dealing with gout for 15 years
Back in September 2021 I watched The Game Changers on Netflix and then read The China Study. This led me to make the decision to stop eating all meats and eat a vegetarian diet. I have yet to have an attack in the 6 months since and attribute this to abstaining from all meats. I firmly believe that eating meat causes gout

Very good quality production VIDEO🎉 Hands down to this creator channel. Explained exactly at the level of understanding - not too complicated but not too simple. I’m sure the biochemistry behind it is way more detailed than this so I appreciate the effort to make it easy to comprehend.
The method of drawing on screen really helps the learning process. Good amount of images (crystals), molecules and text. It wasn’t too texty.

Ive been battling this for 3 months. It kept popping up in a new joint about once a week for the whole 3 months. It happened a year or so ago, but I did not realize what it was. Just felt like a random toe sprain I guess, though extremely painful.. My diet had been loaded with the wrong things, in high quantities for a long time. decades. I'm 36. in these past three months, Every time a new joint popped up, it wasn't quite as bad as the one before. and I think it's because I have been getting my uric acid levels down with good diet. But on the last week it went to my elbow and it was terrible. I saw a video saying to stop ALL sugars. Added sugars, natural sugars ALL OF IT. as much as possible atleast. Maybe around 20 grams natural sugar per day may be ok. Not in one meal. NO FRUIT. NONE. I even stay away from vegetables that are higher than 3 grams per 100. Also I saw a video saying stop grains. Like whole grains. Also try to stay away from vinegar. When I tried this, it seems to have stopped. It may be a culmination of everything I've been doing the last couple months though. But it definately has stopped for a week for the first time in 3 months right when I did that. It seems to be a lot more about what you shouldn't put in your body than what you should. Portion control. Calorie count if it helps. Stay hydrated. Don't crash diet and don't eat big meals, to avoid spiking, triggering. Joint friendly Excersize regimen once able. Eat lots of vegetables. Eggs are good. Nuts are good. Olive oil about 2 tbspns per day good. Beans ok. Fat free/reduced dairy ok. Some meats like white chicken may be ok but I think why risk it. I stay away from things with ingredient labels with a lot of stuff I can't pronounce in it. If there is something I'm not quite sure about I use in moderation. I just do eggs nuts beans and dairy for protein for now. Until uric acid levels go down and then work stuff like grains, lean meats/fish/seafood, and fruit back into your diet. It helps that I am good at cooking, both of my parents being chefs. ( Which is probably part of the original problem. In Louisiana nontheless) Almond flour is great. Between that, riced cauliflower, eggs, olive oil and fat free cheese, I can make those vegetables taste pretty good. Always with a fresh salad with each meal. Gout is the personal trainer that I needed. That guy don't play around. When he says drop the cheesecake, you better do it or sleep with one eye open. He will attack you in your sleep. He's dedicated to making you change. You will thank him later. Lol. For some people, it's just genetics. For most people, it seems to be poor diet, gluttony, alcoholism. I have never had a good diet for 3 months in my life until now.
    Hebrews 12:4-13 NIV
In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood. [5] And have you completely forgotten this word of encouragement that addresses you as a father addresses his son? It says, “My son, do not make light of the Lord's discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, [6] because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.” [7] Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father? [8] If you are not disciplined---and everyone undergoes discipline---then you are not legitimate, not true sons and daughters at all. [9] Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of spirits and live! [10] They disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, in order that we may share in his holiness. [11] No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. [12] Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees. [13] “Make level paths for your feet,” so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed.
    Titus 2:11-14 NIV
For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. [12] It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, [13] while we wait for the blessed hope---the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, [14] who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.
