    Only 67 likes! That’s a sin! Great job sir! You should of blown up the YT
    I did notice that if you take the bleeder screw out and just put a small amount of Teflon tape around the top, it’ll stop all the air bubbles. Bc the air is bleeding around the threads

    Why did you decide to use dot 5.1 over the standard 3.0 fluid?

    • @WillowsWorldofDIY
      @WillowsWorldofDIY  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I used 5.1 because it has a higher boiling temperature than 3.0 and it helps prevent brake fade in high performance applications and when towing heavy trailers. I hope this is helpful. Thanks for watching!

    what year truck? will this also get the air out of the abs module?

    • @WillowsWorldofDIY

      2007 Classic and yes it will get out all the air trapped in the brake system. I hope this is helpful. Thanks for watching!

      No bleeding like this will not get air out of the ABS module. In order to bleed the module itself, you will need a bidirectional scan tool to actuate the abs. Alternatively, you can bleed using the procedure shown (although start at the passenger rear wheel which is furthest from the master cylinder) then take the truck out on a dirt road and get up to a decent speed and hit the brakes hard enough to activate the abs. Make sure you feel the abs working in the pedal. Do this a couple times, then come back and repeat the bleed procedure shown here.
      I always recommend people do one of these two things when they flush brake fluid as the abs module will hold fluid inside of itself that otherwise would stay there. So you may have fresh fluid throughout your system, but the abs module will not. Brake fluid is very hydroscopic (it attracts water) and water will boil at a lower temp than brake fluid causing mild to severe brake fade depending on the amount of water and amount of demand on the braking system. Brake fluid is cheap, so flush it often. Also, dispose of whatever is left in the container after you flush the fluid and avoid the temptation to keep it for a top off. It attracts water bad enough inside a sealed brake system. It will be worse in the open container on your shelf. Also, If you flush your brake fluid as a part of regular maintenance and have a vehicle with a hydroboost system, pop the low pressure return off and flush your power steering fluid regularly as well. Hydroboost systems use the power steering pump to boost the brakes instead of the older vacuum brake boosters. Besides keeping your power steering pump alive longer, fresh fluid in there will keep your brakes working as good as they can.

      @@matthewl67 super helpful. I just changed all my brake lines on my 05 2500hd. I bled everything as shown but my petal is still spongy, your abs module idea is exactly what I gotta do

    You apparently don’t have a air tight fit to bleeder screws because you can see the fluid bubbling 😂

      Yeah bro that was the whole point of bleeding it
      Genius Did you not see he sucked out all the old fluid and then filled it backup hence the bubbles Come on guy if you're gonna insult somebody At least no damn sure what you're talking about

    • @KO-pk7df
      @KO-pk7df ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@matthewpierson5375 The bubbles were not coming from behind the bleeder, they were coming from the fitting of hose and bleeder. He was using a vacuum on the clear hose going to the bleeder.

      The threads on Chinese parts differ from one to another so they don't match. that's why the the bleeder valves leek. If you pressure bleed them, fluid runs down the back plate as well as the tube.
