TPU in the Rebel v3 is still my favourite midsole ever, and the TPEE in adidas shoes are fantastic too with a reputation for durability. Sketchers even made a point to note midsole durability in their marketing, which is often something that gets completely sidelined or forgotten about in the chase for the lightest, fastest midsole. Sounds like Sketchers are taking a very practical approach
Go Run Ride 11 - favorite midsole ever.. perfect amount of squish with a surprising amount of energy return. Durable too. Super fun. No other shoe on the market offers near as much tech for $120
Yo Yowana! It might be fun/interesting to start giving these shoes a rating at the end. Like a 1-10 rating, S-F Tier or 1-5 stars. Anyways, love the channel & keep grinding!
Hey Yowana! Got one suggestion for you, instead of re-weighing all the shoes every video, you could make a spreadsheet with the columns 1) shoe, 2) left shoe weight, 3) right shoe weight, 4) category (daily trainer, race shoe, etc.). That way, we can have a master spreadsheet of all your shoes and only weigh new shoes.
@@supwell hahahaha fair. Thought I’d throw it out there! Would be helpful to have that data everywhere since I believe you’re the only person on TH-cam that weighs BOTH the left and right shoe
Really love seeing new brands on the channel! And I definitely did a double take at the end of the video when i didn't hear a "one more thing" segment lol
I seriously coinsidered getting these but decided to order the cheaper Rebel v4 and add more stack via an extra insole, yet still staying lighter than the Alphas and avoiding the unnecessary plate. I will give up some traction though.
"I don't think that's a compliment to anyone involved." 😂Right though!! That's wild that someone would think that. Anyways, I too would have gotten dragged for Skechers as a kid. They have come a long way as a brand, however your review is exactly what I expected. Maybe the new line up will be better.
Love the vids! Could you take a minute to talk about how tie your strings to get a good lockdown without choking your feet during your runs? I hate having to stop to either tighten or loosen my fit after I get going.
I have some thoughts: I thought this looked interesting when it first came out as the Speed Beast. I dig the colorway myself. Not what I'd wear around town but real cool for out on the road. I completely understand the forefoot width comments. I always get the wide version any time a shoe comes in D and EE. I don't know if those of us who need more room complaining will get through to shoemakers but oh well.... I am under the impression that a racing version of this exists. (Not available to all of us yet.) It's possible you could call it a thicker version of the Speed Elite with this newer foam, but I haven't seen it. If you can find a close-up pic of Ed Cheserek in NYC, that's probably what they're coming out with. There is a more flexible version of this H-shaped plate. The other, available in models including the most recent Razor, is similar but without the vertical wings. I don't think the material is different, but that visible part makes it much stiffer according to reviewers who have compared the two. This more rigid version has been in only the Speed Elite and now this as far as I am aware. I believe that Skechers is selling it for $148 as I write this.
I have this shoe and use it as a trainer because I do not race anymore (heart issue). I rotate it with the other 20 super shoes I have collected. If I could run a half marathon any more I would use it. I got it for $143 through Skechers with a VIP membership and coupon.
Ha! I swapped thr Adizero insole out of my SL's with my old Skechers insole the other day. The SL kept giving me a blister in my arch and I think it was because of where the insole was touching my arch.
Have a pair of Sketchers Elevate/ UltraGo that are the most comfortable running shoes ever for upper and underfoot, great for easy runs. Bit for me their racing foam is too firm, lasts forever, but too firm.
It kinda sounds like a little faster Nike infinity sneaker with a plate. $180 is way too high, but sketchers often on sale, so def can get it 50% in short time.. and might be cool at that price.. though if going for plated daily feel like the puma nitro hard to beat
skechers razor 4 - also with hyperburst pro TPU based foam softens quite a bit after it breaks in and has stayed consistent after that with way more pop (especially up tempo near the paces you finished) than on my first run. curious to hear what you think after a few more runs. guessing this shoe does something similar.
I really enjoyed the Razor 3. I got them on clearance for around $50 back in the day…a pretty ugly colorway, 🤪 but the original “pool noodle” Hyperburst foam was fun…great for interval runs…super light, but could’ve used a bit more stack height in the heel, as it felt pretty low drop.
just updated the deals today! i try to do it every week or two www.supwell.io/best-running-shoe-deals you can always email me at yowana@supwell.io if you see something outdated or a new deal i should add
Can you try some of top tier Chinese racing shoes like Anta C202 5.0 pro, Lining Feidian Ultra, Xtep 160x 3.0 or 5.0 pro, 361 Flame 3.... They got pretty decent build quality and nice technologies
Quick Recap - Skechers suck, always have. Brick foam with no response, toe box cramped, overbuilt rubber, ill built insoles, deceptive marketing (which is why they always get sued) trash. Could've spent thirty more minutes with Charlie bro. 😂
@brianway4240 Facts. Not sure how that negates anything I said about the brand as a whole from the 7 different running styles I have owned and paid for with my own money. I listened to the entire video and rephrased his thoughts on the shoe. Fall back mybwoi
Fact: you are bad-mouthing without wearing it or ever even seeing it in person. You claim to have actually paid for 7 pairs of what you consider the worst brand ever. And then you go and watch this instead of simply not watching it. I wonder if you've ever worn a non-Nike shoe.

I have the GRR 11 as well. Good shoe.

I started this channel to avoid spreadsheets 😂

🤣
as a flat footed runner, i love arch bumps on my running shoes! haha can't wait for the restock of the hat. thank you brother!
Brings back fond memories of my first two Boston training blocks in Skechers GoRun.
Would you use it as daily trainer or just for speed sessions ?
Thanks great video

I realized that I prefer running with shoes without the carbon plate or even nylon, shoes like the new balance rebel v2,and now v4 work for me
This colorway is 🔥🔥🔥. I love a bright shoe. Great content as always. A week out from my 5k.
Ayyyy let's go 💪🏽
Skechers knows how to do a nice rocker. I agree with your suggestions for improvements. I'd consider it at $155.
The Rashee Rice comment caught me off guard😭
shit had me crackling 🤣

Also do you have a fav type of shoestring type? Have you had swap strings for a better fit and if so, which did you go with?

20! That's an impressive collection 🤯 what are your favorites?

How often do you update the Best Deals section on the Supwell website?
just updated the deals today! i try to do it every week or two www.supwell.io/best-running-shoe-deals you can always email me at yowana@supwell.io if you see something outdated or a new deal i should add
If you are trying Sketchers you should try Atreyu. They are a fraction of the price for their race model (The Artist).
Stay tuned 😉
so skechers only renamed the shoes without making any update....?
Re-release
Lowell, Massachusetts, home of Mickey Ward!
Yessir and Jack Kerouac! 🫡💪🏽

It’s crazy to see that at that price when you can find the Atreyu race model at 120$ with better materials
The Atreyu Race Model is such a good comfortable shoe. I consider it as a slightly more aggressive Saucony Speed 1/2.
🔥
Whats your running watch?
he uses the Coros Pace 3
I'm looking for one of those and I can't find it. Or something on Amazon who's selling a man's size US 9 or 8.5
They're selling them on Skechers website
Here's the link www.skechers.com/go-run-alpha-tempo/246063.html
@supwell they don't deliver to South Africa.
Having a tennis ball poke your arch is just the most annoying feeling for any shoes
I get that it’s sketchers, but the geometry looks really good!!! Too bad its lacking on all other aspects
Demented zebras, what nightmares you must have had...
😂
But supercritical is yesterday foam 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
A monstrosity of a shoe

This particular poster hasn't worn this particular shoe.

@brianway4240 ok sweetheart. Cool 👍🏻
peace @supwell. have you tried Enda shoes?
