And this time, we've got a much stronger truck (Ford F250 baby!!) and a bit more confidence since our first season as RV newbies! Hey guys just wanted to share a tip put your hand at the bottom of the steering wheel when backing up, if you want it to go right move your hand to the right, if you want it to the left just move it to the left or just search up on TH-cam there’s some detailed videos about the hand at the bottom trick if you guys haven’t Learned it yet. Been towing for about 3 years and just learned it it’s so much easier

It looks a little nose high....Going to an HD truck, you'll have to turn the shank upside and recalibrate the hitch. It makes all the difference!

I’ve been told by lots of folks that impact drivers will strip your jacks. I’d go to your power drill rather than impact.

Depends on whether the impact has an adjustable clutch and if the clutch is set correctly.

Quick tip. When you arrive to a campground in the dark, when backing into your site if possible turn your headlights off, just leave on the parking lights to avoid shining the bright truck lights into your new neighbors camper window or campsite. I know you guys are newbies so this old man will save you years of experience and go ahead and tell you so you can pass all the Truck brand problems ...Once you own a Ram 5.7 Hemi 1500 or 6.4 Hemi 2500 gas you're experienced Lol ..I've had all the brands and Ram hasn't failed me yet . I've been everywhere man and if you RV long enough you will go fifth wheel as it's much easier to tow and back up ..I like them under 30 feet long so you can fit in any RV park . Love watching the younger generation like you guys. .stay safe out there..

Check to make sure your using the correct size trailer ball. I believe the hitch should completely cover the ball

FYI. I drive a big truck for 35 plus years, a good night backing suggestion, place a flashlight were you want the left rear wheel to be, if backing on left side

Glad to see you guys back on the road again, maybe we will pass you on the road again 😁 There was one thing that the Dad in me has to say after Olivia admitted going 70+……check the speed rating on you trailer tires, most are rated at 65mph or sometimes less. Over those speeds can get dangerous as they heat up an start coming apart. Dad advice mode off……Have Fun1

I’m gonna subscribe and give you guys a shot. You had me at Ford Super Duty.. like others said, you can likely lower the hitch one hole to get the trailer nose down a smidge.

I’m new to y’all’s videos and in the brand new to RVs and Trucks entirely, so your videos have been the most helpful with knowing every lil piece of RV living including the towing and vehicle choices! It’s taken so much time for me to get it all on my own, but then i watch your videos and it makes way more sense when I can actually see it all happen as your driving! Thanks for including every part of the experience towing your trailer from home to site, and in your new truck vs. older one, even showing the gas diffs wow, extremely cool and helpful

Thanks for the food inspiration. We made our versions of Nathan’s concoction and incorporated Olivia’s suggestion (chicken) and included some smoked ham, olives, mushrooms and red bell pepper as well. Oh ya, spaghetti vs. shells. It all eats the same and the concoction was awesome. Great job with the videos. Appreciate y’all!

Good News if you dont know it yet you could pull out the mirrors out 3 inches more , Just pull it out they slide out. i have the same truck but a 2017
We figured that out much later and it's been helpful to use on occasion
Tip! Add a tiny bit of water or milk to the jar to get the last little bit of sauce out :)

You guys have been my favorite Tubers since i stumbled upon your channel last week. I love my F250 as well. A tip on backing, not sure you guys need it but since you guys love to use the hang ten sign. If you hold up your hand in sign mode with the pinky away from you and the thumb pointed back to you, just turn you hand and think the pinky as the front of the car and the thumb as the trailer. Whatever way the pinky turns the trailer will go the opposite. Hopefully that helps from a trucker point of view. Safe travels and looking forward to the new season.

Just from looking at the video I feel the hitch needs to drop one so it’s alittle lower in the front so you put alittle more on the truck side also your mirrors will extend out and it makes it so much easier to see when backing In. Also love the truck I have a 2019 250 with the 6.7 and I tow a reflection fifth wheel even though I am just shy of my payload capacity it rides amazing befor we got the new fifth wheel we had a 36’ passport that I towed and I handled it great so good luck and have fun

Good driving, your truck is much longer than your previous vehicle,
Backing up will be more challenging with longer truck, but the ride, much better…

Pro Tip: Anytime you back up USE only the bottom HALF of the steering wheel to make turns. Do not touch the top half portion of the wheel because it will be the reverse direction. If you want the trailer to go right, simply swing right same as for left. Trust me you will thank me later.

I laughed at the backing tip of going SLOW. I made a very corny video about backing up a while back and that was one big point! I heard fishing in the video! Do y’all ever do much fishing?

Are you still enjoying your f250? Assuming it's a diesel, I'm sure it's a huge difference from the Escalade.
We're loving it Mike, it's actually gas though! Diesel was a bit out of the budget with this truck market lol
Cruising at +70 your 250 has the power but can the trailer handle it ? I watch a lot of theses vids to learn what not to do , be safe congratulations.
Hey John. If the speed limit is 75 or 80mph, we’ll go between 70-72mph. This is always on little two lane highways (never major highways.)
The trailer has heavy duty tires on it and is rated to go 75 mph. We replaced the little TS tires (max 65mph). 👍🏼

It’s Google maps when you click search along route and click on gas stations. It shows all the ones nearby
