I learned so much from you. You have a soft, calming voice thank you. I think I know the square drills a sharper but I’ve just completed my second painting and the round is easy for me. I’m 88 years old and happy to have a new hobby🥰
I love that you put a table of contents for us new DP lovers, but I have to say, your videos are by far the best/most helpful I've seen thus far, and I plan to watch every minute of this video anyways. Lol
Hello, my name is Shelly. I just discovered your channel yesterday and I've watched several of your videos(probably 7 or 8) already. I'm very new to diamond painting, only been doing it for about 3 weeks. The reason I started searching for something to enjoy is because my anxiety/nerves has always been way up there. I've not been able to work since 2016 because of back surgeries made me more disabled than I was before them and just this year I've been diagnosed with a heart condition that only allows me to stand up to 20 mins before I either feel like I'm gonna pass out or I actually do pass out. Anyway, diamond painting seems to help with everything being better for me so far. I'm so glad I came across your channel and thank you for your suggestions on how I could make this new hobby better and hopefully last a long while.
This video was very helpful! I just started diamond painting and I have a tendency to over analysis/research every aspect of a new hobby! I now have a problem due to your videos-I need all the paintings!!😍😍
As a beginner just working on my very first diamond painting, this video was a godsend! I already picked up some of the hints from your other videos that I'm binge watching, but it's great to have a comprehensive guide to get a beginner going! I'm also so thankful that you speak up against copyright infringment! While browsing Wish I found painting kits with drawings by illustrator Johanna Basford and coloured by several of her talented followers - definitely not endorsed by the artist or colourists! I would love a video or list of stores that work ethically with artists to have a list of safe stores to support with my purchases. Thank you so much!
Diamond Art Club...all the designs are by licensed artists...Diamond Dotz is a good brand as well. Those are my go to brands! Just a warning, you probably will get addicted to Diamond Painting lol
What a wonderful all inclusive video! Great work as always! I love that you included all the links in the description box. I want to say too, that your care and concern for your audience and subscribers always shines through! Of course you can never make everyone happy, but I hope you know and feel confident that you make most happy. Your loyal subscribers know how hard you work to put out quality, informative and fun videos. Thank you for bringing up the licensing issues as well. I never buy a painting that I'm not 100% sure that the artist has given rights to. As always, thank you for another great video and keep up the amazing work! ~Linda
I recently did two round diamond paintings and, being the square diamond fan I am, couldn't wait to get back to them. It was crazy how much I missed the squares ones, and I am now back in my happy zone :)
Thank you for this FAQ. It was really nice seeing your face, It really matches your voice. Now when I'm watching your other videos I'm more able to picture expressions and inflection that helps me to relate. I've ordered my first project, a 16x20 inch Starry Night from JoAnn and a few accessories from Amazon, and honestly wouldn't have known what questions to ask, so it was a help having questions I should probably have asked suggested, and then answered. One stop shop!
Thank you. I just got my first diamond painting kit. I found your "What I wish I knew" video when I hit TH-cam up for more instructions. Your videos helped me get up the nerve to start, and I've been enjoying the "How To" playlist while I work on this first project.
Thank you so much for this great video. I am just beginning this hobby and feel that the information you provided has given me confidence to tackle what I am going to need as I dive in!
I watched this video a couple of weeks ago before I got my painting. Now that I have been painting for a week , I watched it again. Very well done, I understand a lot better now. Thank you .
Very helpful video for this newbie! I have been trying to do my own research on ethical shops but it's slow going. I wish more folks would mention those details in their videos. Thanks so much for putting this info together; it's a lot of work and I greatly appreciate it!
I love how you formatted this. The contents listed at the beginning with the minute mark is extremely useful. I know I'll reference it in the future so thanks for making it so easy to look back at.
Just like to say Thank you so much Claire for explaining this so well.. I bought my first crystal art a few weeks ago but today I decided to try.. I did not know where to start but you have made it stressless and easy to comprehend.. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five stars for you.. 👍😍👍
Hi Rachel, I am new to Diamond Painting and I would love to thank you for sharing all this information. It was very helpful! I have been working on round paintings, but just recently ordered a square, and am looking forward to working on it. I have discovered, I Love Confetti too! Have a Great Day! Sherry
I'm going to share this with my Summer Enrichment Class this year. I have been doing Diamond Chat Club for 3 ( some virtual) years now, and this helps validate what I have been teaching, BECAUSE...I learned most from you. My 6th graders will love following you! Thank you for all you do!
Glad to hear that you read all of your comments. I have a question for you. 1st, thank you for this comparison video. Lots of good info here. Now, my question… What is best for sealing rhinestones on jewelry? A hi-heel keychain, for example. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much for this video!! Your beautiful, it's always nice to see your face. I hope you had a great time when you were back here in the States!!
I don't even do diamond painting or plan on starting, but thank you for making quality content for your community! It's admirable to be so helpful, thorough and informative!
Brilliant video excellent just what diamond painting newbie’s needed and wanted a big thank you and 👍🏻 for taking the time to compile this in depth video take care stay safe xxxx
Thank you! This video was very informative for me. I absolutely love doing diamond paintings! Very very very therapeutic for me!! I love the feeling of accomplishment when I finish diamond painting. It's so exhilarating to see and know that I made that and completed it!! Thank you again! Love your videos!
This was such a tremendously well done, well put together video. This needs to be recommended to anyone just getting started diamond painting. I'm still fairly new to diamond painting and had already researched so much on how to do it I thought I had it all figured out. but, this video definitely showed me new extremely useful information. Thank you!!
I am completely new to DP, but a veteran of many different crafts, I have used each of the containers you've shown to hold glitter, sequins, beads, and so on at different times, I agree the Elizabeth Ward one is awesome and it should be known that the best price anywhere I have found for them is at Fire Mountain Jewels they also have coupons, frequent sales, and quantity discounts, you can combine multiple products to reach the quantity level for a price break, tip: it often pays to buy a few $1.00 bags of beads you may never use to get to that discount point you probably know someone who will and you can gift them, or donate to a local school this video has helped me very much, thank you for doing it!
Great video!! In the short time that I have been watching and listening to you and a few other DP'ers, I have learned so much and also learned from other's mistakes.
I’m fairly new to DP and love it so far. Great video, there were some questions I hadn’t even thought to ask yet 😀 you have one of my most favorite channels. Thanks!
I have a friend with MS, she told her doctor that she did diamond painting. He said that it keeps your mind sharp, and it good for hand and eye coordination. He told her to continue to do it. He’s told several patients to look into it as a hobby and form of therapy.
something to think about maybe, when I was able to needlepoint, I saved all of my tail in a glass fillable ornament and wrote the year on it at the end of it, I have 12 of these now and they are lovely and actually bring back the memories of stitching those pieces, as weird as that sounds
Such a great informative video!! I am very new to diamond painting so this video was incredibly helpful!! Thank you for sharing your knowledge of the diamond painting craft!!
Hi Rachel. Thank you soooooooo much for this video . I have already learned so much from your video and others in the DP community that it has helped me troubleshoot any issue I have. Weather its living with the basic of kits as I start with plastic bags for my drills. How to deal with not evenly distributed glue. I really do feel for me that starting of small where you get to get the feel of canvas type, drills ,symbols etc etc is working for me personally. Not having a big bubject means I dont waste money and have to throw away a big canvas. I have a wish list too. You are right to about it beening our own piece of work. So great video as always. Congratulations on 9000 subscribers. Have a great day
oh my gosh, thought I already saw the aurora burealis on my beads. But these are awesome and beautiful. will try to look on this on our local store here.
Thank you for all the videos, I have yet to work on a poured glue canvas, that is number 1 on my list to order after viewing your videos. I also have a stash that needs to be dwindled down before ordering though. Once again thank you for your time that you put into your videos.
Awesome storage. Wish I had a closet full of undone paintings. Lol. I never have back ups then I half to go to hobby lobby while I wait for my order to come in. Very aggravating. Maybe one day I will learn. Lol. Thank you for sharing. It was very helpful. ❤️
This is such a great video 👍 I would have loved to see this when I first started dp’ing. It would be nice if you could make a video on how to prepare a picture for custom please 🤗
Hi Rachel.. thanks so much for this FAQ list.. As always, you've been incredibly helpful. Just another question....you did mention on this video that you were planning on compiling a list of DP sellers who are "safe" as far as licensing etc. Have you had the time to organise that list, and if so, can you tell me how to access it please. I did join up the Facebook Group ..Crafters Anonymous, and as a total newbie I am SO impressed with the friendliness, and with the almost instantaneous answers to any of my problems...what a fantastic group of people....So thanks for that as well. Stay well and happy...
I would love to see how you customized the painting of Luna, I have a Bengal kitten, she's actually twice as adorable as it sounds, and I've seen a couple of paintings where a kitten is looking at the reflection of a full-grown tiger and thought how perfect it would be to change both cats to Bengals in her honor but have no clue how to do that!
You can also make your own tube to put your diamond paintings in. Just get some PVC (plumbing) pipe and matching size end caps. It's not expensive at all and you never have to worry about them getting crushed.
I was looking for something specific and I love that you put a table of contents and the timestamp for this video! I think it's such a huge help and I wish more people did this (but I'm sure it's time consuming) but I didn't find my answer. I am working on a DP and one round drill won't stick, just one and I don't know what I should use to make the canvas sticky. Thanks Rachel, all your videos are so helpful.
I am fairly new to DP. I listen to a book or music, and I find it therapeutic. I still have a lot I don't know. This video helped SO much!! It's by far the best video I've watched thus far! Thank you for making this video!! Also, you could make ASMR videos with your voice. 😉😃
Im always looking at drill storage. You wouldn't believe what I use cause no one else uses what I use and it costs cents and holds any size project and even 30/40k+ of the same drill color. My favorite is the one you showed you got from dac. I got mine at Amazon. They're unfortunately and agreeably too small. So I use them and the other containers I was mentioning before. Hilariously Im one of the few that hate the Elizabeth ward storage container. But it's mostly because of how I diamond paint. I live the clear see through compact aesthetic of the acrylic screw top containers. I hate the bulky stack tray. I can't see through and I like being able to see what I'm looking for and grab it than to start shifting through trays and trays to find what I need. So it's definitely all personal style. Which is why I love dp. It's really about what you want and it's great. Was hoping to see coverage on Facets and canvases. Or maybe that's just a different video. I love diamond painting because there's something about watching the canvases come to life and the process is very brain dead and fun along the way. Definitely to all the newer folk. Diamond paint the way you want. This is so true I can't stress enough. It's such a free and personalized way to enjoy your own time. Despite the many great videos out there and all of Rachel's great videos packed with info, I still bought my own hauls and tried many different things and some of my opinions differ from Rachel because I paint different than her. Plus the experience with all the different things is invaluable. If I would go back and start over fresh with this video and kept my knowledge from this point. I'd go bat shit crazy and buy hauls of stuff all over again. It's your world. 🙂
Thank you for this I have shared it with my sister who has also now starting diamond painting. Please make a video on personalized paintings. I have a few pictures that I would love to have made.
I heard you have to push the diamond drill in till it snaps before it is going to stay on the canvas. I would love to see a video of custom paining and the list of stores about artist and buying paintings. Thank you so much for this, it helped so much as I just am a beginner.
I learned so much from you. You have a soft, calming voice thank you. I think I know the square drills a sharper but I’ve just completed my second painting and the round is easy for me. I’m 88 years old and happy to have a new hobby🥰
Rachel you are my favourite diamond painting host xxxx
I love that you put a table of contents for us new DP lovers, but I have to say, your videos are by far the best/most helpful I've seen thus far, and I plan to watch every minute of this video anyways. Lol
indeed! also, your voice is very calm and soothing to listen too, you could have a great career reading children audiobooks
@@24get24give You replied to me instead of the poster. ;) You're right tho.
Would love to see a video about ordering a custom and tweaking the picture, any tips and tricks about making a custom would be great!
THANK YOU!!!!!

Very informative, concise but thorough, pleasant delivery and it's nice to see a face not just disembodied hands. Thank you.

1st, thank you for this comparison video. Lots of good info here.
Now, my question… What is best for sealing rhinestones on jewelry? A hi-heel keychain, for example.
Thank you so much.
The same sealant I show in the other videos will work great! Tombow aquaglue or dotz stick are wonderful

Great video. Very helpful on the custom ones. Thank you for doing this type of video as I’m on my 4th DP and still learning. ☺️
Hi Rachel. Thank you soooooooo much for this video . I have already learned so much from your video and others in the DP community that it has helped me troubleshoot any issue I have.

Newbie here. Great tips, thank you for sharing your knowledge. 👍🏻😉
Great video. Loved it so much information- I love diamond painting- I want to do it all time!, I’ve done 2 pictures. So far🤗🤗
Great video Rachel!!
Thank you this was a very helpful video 🙂 I would be interested in a list video of the official DP endorsed painting stores too
Congratulations on 9000 subscribers!!!!! 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
Thank you Nancy! 🤗💜😉
You can also make your own tube to put your diamond paintings in. Just get some PVC (plumbing) pipe and matching size end caps. It's not expensive at all and you never have to worry about them getting crushed.
I love this video so so much! Also, you are so beautiful, so it was good to see your face again! Thank you for this.
This was an awesome video. Thank you very much ❤️
I was looking for something specific and I love that you put a table of contents and the timestamp for this video! I think it's such a huge help and I wish more people did this (but I'm sure it's time consuming) but I didn't find my answer. I am working on a DP and one round drill won't stick, just one and I don't know what I should use to make the canvas sticky. Thanks Rachel, all your videos are so helpful.
Thank you! For that, I just use a dot of clear glue or nail polish...
@@RachelRaeCraft Thanks Rachel!!!
I am fairly new to DP. I listen to a book or music, and I find it therapeutic.
I still have a lot I don't know. This video helped SO much!! It's by far the best video I've watched thus far!
Thank you for making this video!!
Also, you could make ASMR videos with your voice. 😉😃
I'm glad it helped! 🤗 I do have a few playlists of me reading and telling stories if you'd be interested in that!
Definitely!!😃
thanks Rachel! such a good video!
love the nail polish

Thank you for lots of good advice!
Thank you for this I have shared it with my sister who has also now starting diamond painting. Please make a video on personalized paintings. I have a few pictures that I would love to have made.
What a great video! Love it
I heard you have to push the diamond drill in till it snaps before it is going to stay on the canvas. I would love to see a video of custom paining and the list of stores about artist and buying paintings. Thank you so much for this, it helped so much as I just am a beginner.
There are some great videos here on YT comparing different diamond art companies :)
Hi Marsha! No need to press it that hard unless you're having a problem with popping drills. 😊
Very useful, thanks x
