My first one was a square that was a custom work for my best friends birthday. Talk about pressure. I got it done in time it turned out beautiful. My best friend loved it she cried. That is how my addiction started. I love giving them as gifts.

I just started a square dimomd painting and i have notice that the trick is to put them on straight, if you put them on the side ways its harder. And your wrist starts to hurt.
So I order a square one diamond painting on amazon to see if i would be like it.
It is coming out well.
I'm left-handed and i start on the opposite side. It seems to work for me.
My first diamond painting was a circle. The square seems to be a little changeling. But that's my opinion.

Diymoon shop does a great job of doing custom, they will show you all the mapping of your pictures and let you evening add custom beads to your custom artwork. Customer service is super 🤗
I have found cheap containers at the dollar tree there are 6 in a pack. I still use them I have had them over a year!

I've done a lot of dps, so have a lot of spare blue pens, I bought a resin pen off amazon that had metal multi placers and I glued the ends into the blue pens, so the resin one I put 1 drill placer and then in a blue pen I superglue a 2 placer in one end and 3 in the other end, in another pen I put a 4 and a 5 then a 6 and a 7 and so on. So helpful, love the metal ends.

Okay Mrs. C&C, you're my last hope. I've started three squares in the last year and 1/2 or so that I've done this for. And you hit my problem on the head; perfection!! It bugs the bejeezus out of me if they are not *perfectly* straight. So needless to say all three met their fate in a garbage can.
But I got a lil' 11"x11" here and it's adorable, and I'm just going to go with the flow, knowing that perfection is not realistic or even *needed*, as others will see the whole picture, not drill #15,592 that's *slightly* askew. I feel ready. *deep breaths* Thank you for the refresher course! Take care of you and your fam. ❤
Use the checkerboard method, and the more you put on the canvas they will straighten themselves.

That is as far as I have gotten so far. lol Tonight watching this, I feel a lot more confident. I think I need to get a light pad so I will be able to see better. I'm 69 years old so I will need some help! I watched the one where you showed better pen to use for my old lady hands and some other fun thing. I'm getting ready to move, so I'm in a packing mess! You have the best diamond painting channel! You explain better than all the other channels. I'm doing my first diamond painting while listening to you. I watched your video once before. the only problem I'm finding is my eye sight is really bad, even with my glasses on 👓 so it's making me go slower than I would like to. I'm using a magnifying glass with a light but from the dollar store and its warping. Thanks showing me to try it with the phone. I'm going to have to download a magnifying light app to do this. This is so much fun, I wish they had these projects years ago when I could see better. Thank you for your video, you are the best.

I enjoy doing DP so much, that I just introduced my niece, who is a nurse and a full time caregiver for her sister who is 35 and autistic. She's got a full plate. Cool , I've never watched one of these. I acrylic paint. I would love to get my 11 year old granddaughter one of these. She is really good at follow instructions with tutorials for acrylic painting so I know she would be able to do this. Definitely this video is like the more basic that you can find about dp! Good job Mrs. Coffee you are attracting more people to de addiction =) I just add to the video that if someone buy a kit in Aliexpress and they have the inventory sheet they should check if they have all the colors; because they just have 2 weeks in case that they want to open a dispute.

I just got my first kit a couple days ago. I'm loving it, and hating it lol. After I got about halfway I learned that there's 2 diff shaped drills; mine is round. I really hate that they aren't staying in rows nicely. Maybe I should get a square kit see if I like it better lol

That was great thank you.I just started to do diamond painting as christmas gifts and decided I better come check with an expert that Im doing it right! Nice to know the drills dont have to be perfectly straight and that I dont have to start in the top left hand corner or anything like that, and I love the snap that the drills make when they go into place. I have only done 3 small ones currently and they seem to be looking ok so I will start a slightly bigger one I think. thank you for the tip about the light board, I have one for quilting and it will help as a light top down was giving me a headache.:-) really cool to see the kits from a starting point, thank you. x
