I’m a little late to the party but I just bought my first paddywaxx and had no idea how to use it!! Thank you for your tips. Loved watching you learn how to use it on camera ☺️
I just ordered some SS. Cant wait to give it a try. Took a little break from Dping. Finished a paint by # and working on a Bucilla embroidery Christmas stocking for my Granddaughter. Trying to get it done early this year. Love your videos!! Thanks
I am just starting to diamond paint. Thank you for these tutorials. I have received a lot of benefit from your tutorials and I haven’t even reviewed my first canvas kit yet. I hope for it every day as I have so many accessories already, including Paddy Waxx and PWSS. Thank you!!!
I use the Fun-Tak (Loctite); you know the blue ticky tack that you can use to hang posters. When you put it in the drill pen it makes a fun popping sound as it releases the diamond to the adhesive. I have this fascination with that sound! Fun-Tak and Crafting Putty will last a whole lot longer than the pink wax. You don't have to refill the pen as often. Also, I keep my Fun-Tak and pink wax in the fridge so that it doesn't get too warm. I pull it out long enough to refill my pens and then back in the fridge. Still trying to perfect what I want to use with my AB Diamonds but the ticky tack works wonders for the 5D diamonds.
Hey Rachel. Great to see you hun. Thank you again for showing this old nana how to load the paddywaxx. I will be trying again soon. Have a great day sweetie and take care, stay safe. ♥♥♥♥
I’m in love with this video! I love it so much i’m gonna be your new subscriber! ❤️ Thank you for the share and for explaining on how to use the paddywaxx. I also have an issue with the pink wax! And thanks to you I won’t struggle no more.
This helped a lot, there was a lot of residue and i wasnt sure if it was that the product was faulty or if i was just doing it wrong but it was because i wasnt squishing it down so thank u so much for this video, this is my very first time using Robyn's wax and i got the strawberry passion scent
See what? I was folding laundry so I had to rewind and lo and behold, you had a klutz moment! I would not have believed it had I not saw it. Kudos for not swearing. At least they spilled mostly upward on the already painted part. For what it's worth, I have a *very* fluffy cat and I had just kitted up a new painting, only to knock it onto my carpet (cat hairs and all) *face down*. 😳 Paddywaxx. I live on the Washington state peninsula (think Twilight, y'all). While I too had to practice the loading a little bit, I have had no problems with it. Love it, swear by it, & love Robyn. ❤💎🎨
I was finally able to order some of the regular PaddyWaxx and I can't wait to try it out! This video, and your video where you did a comparison on how long different waxes last, were what sold me on needing to try it out.
I love that pop. So satisfying. I always had trouble with the regular paddy waxx but i never gave up on it. The S.S. is now my favorite. I do still use the white and blue for my ab drills though.
This was very informative. Didn't know I couldn't/shouldn't use a multiplacer in the Super Sticky or Putty. I'm in N. California, I get snow in the winter. Haven't noticed too much of a difference as far as heat vs cold.
I live in Canada and it is cold outside, but I keep the heat at about 20ish degrees. I warm it up before I load the pen by tucking it in my shirt. I have both regular and SS PW
I am very new to diamond painting and wanted to know how often you need to reload your wax. I just have the basic stuff you get with your cheaper kits. Love your tutorials and I am hooked 🤣🤣
So I found this way after you posted but just after switching to paddy waxx. And to confirm your comment about jumping on it when posted, the only reason it took me so long to try was inventory available in a fragrance I thought I would like. Your video confirmed I was using it “right” as I was having for the most part similarly to you. I live in Southern California where it never is cold so my issue was the pink wax our any of that type (hearts, squares or circles) and it either pulling out of the pen or gumming up my drills. I change and clean waxes often. I use either metal multiplacers or the white thin ones. I tried the 3D printed multiplacers and have too heavy of a hand and kept cracking them. One of the nice parts of ordering from Robin is she will provide little samples as well with your waxx order or d by d canvases. These are great for single or smaller multiplacers. The super sticky is great too, like you suggested I usually only use for single tips. I’m still looking for the best for AB DRILLS. ✌️❤️💎
The drill quality definitely makes a difference with how well the paddywaxx ss works. I am also working on a huacan and am having to change the wax much more often than when I was working on my evermoment.
So glad to see I'm not the only one spilling drills like that 🙈 I would love to try some PaddyWaxx but I just can't afford shipping, it's ridiculous! Now I use something that translates as 'poster gum' instead of the pink wax. It's not perfect, but better than the pink wax. Love the image you're working on!
I just keep looking at the paddywax Therese sent me, then I smell it, not got around to using it yet but i will, well maybe one day lol tfs Take care hugs Cal xx
I just purchased my first Paddywaxx! I got the Cinnamon Chai, it smells amazing. After some trial and error and much video watching, I am now proficient. I am ready to throw my bags of pink wax away. Now just to wait for the super sticky to be available again.
Hi Rachel. Great video as always. Love that you lefted the spilled drill part in. It's all part of dp lol. May be just use it by the season. Here if I did end up getting some l would only use it spring and summer. And then use something else for the rest of the time. I no that would not suit everyone but you have to be realistic. Wax likes and does best in warm conditions to get best results. That's just my own thoughts on what I have taken away from videos on this product. But it looks a great product. Have a great day
I feel like this video was posted perfectly! I watched wipnchat wednesday, and decided to look at the paddywax store, took the plunge and ordered some! incuding the sspw. Looking forward to receiving them!
I just ordered some Super Sticky yesterday. I have had a hard time with the regular PaddyWaxx. I'm in Eastern Canada. I wonder as well if the humidity affects the wax.
I got a super sticky and the regular brick in the scent of honeysuckle and it’s a strong smell yes but once in the tool and you move it around, you get a nice light sent. Which I think it’s supposed to. :P. I live in sunny California and it is always soft for the most part. Maybe put it in my neck to worm it up a little more. Hope this helps. Ps: love your videos!!!
Thank you for doing this detailed video, Rachel. I'm a new user of Paddywaxx and it's because I saw you use it and was already frustrated with the pink/blue wax that comes with the kits. I just placed my second order with Robyn this week because I just had to have more scents to choose from. Hoping to catch that time that she has a few of those cute storage tins on Etsy. I just missed it yesterday. :( :-D
I watched a video where you showed some kind of wax that was in a little ball I think. You said that it lasted super long on your pen. I can’t find that video now and didn’t catch the name or where to order it. ??
Does this wax stay in the pen when you do ab diamonds? I have a huge problem with my pen staying loaded when I do ab's. It is now warm enough to try using this again as I bought some in the dead of winter.
I rewatched after using paddy waxx for several months and I do use just as you outlined and it’s been fantastic. I live in Southern California and sometimes the pink waxx gets too gooey. Even the better hearts and circles. So paddy waxx works better for me. I do find I change out more often because I am heavy handed and I wear it down or it warms up too much but it’s fine because it’s a big brick and you use so little at a time. I also use the super in my single unless I’m lazy and just us the excess from my multi shavings. The more putty style is also too gooey for me. Have tried several and it all ends up on my diamonds or canvas. ✌️💜💎
I have the lavender Paddywaxx and it is lovely! As if diamond painting wasn't relaxing enough, the lavender adds to it! It's winter here so much (Edmonton, Alberta) and the lavender brings a touch of spring into the room I work in. I do have to "warm" the wax before using it but can do that by putting it in a pocket for a while doing something else. I'm sure you would love it too!
I love your tutorials, and am absolutely fascinated by them. I listen to them all the way through which is NOT a usual occurrence for me. I did have on question though, (I just finished my first diamond painting, a partial drill, which was great to see if I did take to doing this) - and I am wondering why you paint the drills on the diagonal. Any thoughts on this? Thank you for all of This, It has been an amazing help for me! Greta
I have a pen that I have to fill with wax numerous times an hour, do you think paddy wax should eliminate me from having to refill my pen that often? I have been using the wax that comes in the kits. Thank you
The super sticky wax is like what happens to me on every coated drill, you know the #5000, the ones that shimmer, with the pink wax. I loathe those drills and just dont enjoy them at all. One i did already had half the painting in the shimmer coated drills and every other drill would pull the wax out of my pen! So frustrating!
I live in Norway and i have to say that we insulate our houses. So if there is -30°C outside it is still+25°C inside. We don't live in tents, you know. So I think this stuff will work just fine innside.
Hi Rachel can you please tell me the size of the block of waxx at all please I just wanted to get a tin for the one's that I bought Please and thank you
I seriously love paddywaxx, Robyn is so amazing and creative. It's my new obsession. Whenever I have any extra cash, I will be buying diamond pens and her wax. Lol. I got a sample of mermaid lagoon and it was insanely strong and didnt smell good. I wonder if I got a bad one, all the others were amazing.
Also, I got the beachwood vetiver, it's so nice! Bath and body works lotions were my favorite in high school. I still buy candles from them, they're the best.
@@sherryzhang9701 I promise you'll like them! You get a sample when you buy one. My favorite so far is Juicy Strawberry, coconut, and vanilla berry. But honestly I have quite a few now, and I love them all. I recommend trying to get a scented one and to get a tin of the super sticky wax. I use the super sticky in my single placer and the regular in my multi placer.
i have 3 now i got eucalpytus/mint today and FINALLY the SSPW i cant wait to try it i got patcholui first - then i got boy band which i loveeee i got a sample of strawberry today i love that one too and the spruce berry sample last time was nice too i need lavender as well ohh noooo thats why i cant use the little trays they always spill !!
Hi I'm SERIOUSLY wanting to start this hobby but I have a few questions... 1. The color numbers for the Drills...are the numbers for the colors the same for all the different pictures or are they different each time? Meaning if I get a picture that has say RED #345...then I do another picture and is has RED on it as well will the the RED be the same number on the 2nd one as on the 1st one? 2. Where is the best place to order from? 3. What do I need to buy to start? 4. Does the tacky wax come with the pictures or do I need to buy that seperate?
Ok now I've experienced pink wax and abs I'm seeing they may not be up to challenge. I will definitely need to try unscented first. Let's just say between my pink wax from diamond dotz, ( admittedly I need to try dac's wax but I had leftovers) and doing squares for first time I'm realizing that maybe I might need some thing a little more up to challenge. Thank you for this review. As usual so helpful!!!
Do you think I should do this? I had seen on AliExpress that they have DP pens where the tip is bent 180, so you can place diamonds down without moving up and down and straining your wrist. I have the basic hot pink like pen that is in almost all kits. I was thinking about heating up the plastic part of the tip and bend it into the Same position, or would doing that be a waste of my only pen?
I know this video is a bit old and I don’t know if you’ll see this comment but I just got into Diamond Painting and I tried to visit the Etsy shop to buy the paddy wax but when i visit the store I don’t see any of the wax listed and was wondering if they still sell it anymore. Thanks for any information you can share. Ps: Love your videos.
Here's her message on her etsy store announcement: Ben and I are expecting a large shipment of diamond paintings for you to enjoy. In order to give us time to process this order and spend some time with friends and family over the holiday we will be taking a short break from 11/22 through 11/26. We will be back at noon EST on Saturday, 11/27 with new paintings, products and scents!! See you then and have a very happy Thanksgiving :) We normally stock the shop at noon and again between 8 & 9pm EST each day excluding Wednesdays and Thursdays.
@@RachelRaeCraft Thank you so much for responding. I'm new to etsy and didn't see that message but really do appreciate your letting me know. Keep up the great work on the videos - you are a joy to watch!
I really like paddy waxx much better than anything I have tried. Love the unicorn tin. Can we order the design we like? I'm a hard pressed lol.💘💘💘Morri
That is the Houcan picture? Are the drills popping? it's very pretty..... hope it's working out ok for you. I am having issues with the PW too, going to try the SS.... it's warm here so heating it up should not be an issue.
Haha I live in Florida & absolutely love Paddywaxx. I have no problem with it. My only problem is I can’t get enough of all the wonderful scents she makes.
Natalie, I have been using one of her very first PaddyWaxx bricks, named Sweet Pea; for over 3 months now and not even half way thru it. And none of mine have dried out.
I would love to get some of this, but alas, the cost of shipping to me in Australia is more than double the cost of the item. 1 piece of Paddywaxx - AU$12.45 Postage to Australia - AU$27.39 Total cost - AU$39.84 Unfortunately I cannot justify spending this much...Guess I will have to stick with the pink wax.
Ordering anything from Etsy is hard for me too due to postage, and I'm only in Canada, I did decide to order PW both kinds just because I was so frustrated with having to fill my pen so many times with the normal pink wax
What is the name of your hulacan diamond painting? Are you happy working on this canvas? I really like rounds but I want to try this one, Do you recommend this beautiful lady for my first squares? Please leave the info, so I can order it I really enjoy your videos! I left this question before but you didn’t answer it for me! 🔵🔴🟣🟠⚫️🟢🟤🟡⚪️ Ricki
dumped $50 into this stuff (reg and super) and it's pretty junky. It's hard to load and it just stops picking up after a few minutes and sticks to my drills leaving residue. The red wax lasts way longer. Meanwhile, I have some quake-hold in a multi-pen that I keep reaching for that's been working for weeks, I just find I have to keep adjusting that because it smooshes out badly.
I purchased my Darice containers from AZQSD on Aliexpress for less than CDN $25.00 on sale. The quality is great so I bought another that I'm waiting for now.
Great video Rachel. I love both types of PaddyWaxx. For those that live in colder climates and are having some problems with the regular PaddyWaxx; place the brick still in plastic sleeve in your bra or under your breast; and for the guys, this might sound a bit rough; but stick the package with brick down there. Yes, you know where! For about five minutes for everyone. Your body temperature will warm the brick up so fast, and then no problem working with it. The PaddyWaxx SS is made to be a bit dryer and stickier. I don't need to warm it up at all.
I’m a little late to the party but I just bought my first paddywaxx and had no idea how to use it!! Thank you for your tips. Loved watching you learn how to use it on camera ☺️
Oohh that super sticky sound is music for my ears 🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶 😄

I trying find this paddywaxx
That sound is soooooooooo satisfying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love the reg paddywaxx & paddywaxx ss
I desperately want some Paddywaxx but it seems to always be sold out. Does she stock at certain times?
Where did you buy the single tip replacement? I have looked everywhere and can't find.
Theresa Pitts I just take the tips out of the pink pens that come with the kits. I keep just the tips to save room. You can also buy a bunch on Etsy.
I just use the ends of the pink pens, like Boots said
Do you think I should do this? I had seen on AliExpress that they have DP pens where the tip is bent 180, so you can place diamonds down without moving up and down and straining your wrist. I have the basic hot pink like pen that is in almost all kits. I was thinking about heating up the plastic part of the tip and bend it into the Same position, or would doing that be a waste of my only pen?
If it is your only pen, don't do it! The bent pens are cheap. I'd recommend buying it to try it first.
I love bath and body works
Are all the SS wax scent free. Also I live in the Tropics and the wax keeps falling out and not lasting very long. :-(
I know this video is a bit old and I don’t know if you’ll see this comment but I just got into Diamond Painting and I tried to visit the Etsy shop to buy the paddy wax but when i visit the store I don’t see any of the wax listed and was wondering if they still sell it anymore.
See you then and have a very happy Thanksgiving :)
We normally stock the shop at noon and again between 8 & 9pm EST each day excluding Wednesdays and Thursdays.
@@RachelRaeCraft Thank you so much for responding. I'm new to etsy and didn't see that message but really do appreciate your letting me know. Keep up the great work on the videos - you are a joy to watch!
I would know where you buy buy your paddy waxx from
I love the paddy waxx I live in us nc and it works amazing for me love the love potion ,I want to try the sspw so bad❤️
I have mermaid lagoon and it works good
I really like paddy waxx much better than anything I have tried.
Yes and yes, unfortunately they are popping a bit. I haven't worked on it since this video...
What is here sight where you can orde r that wax. The pink wax is too flimsy, and dries out fast
Darn! No super sticky or tins but I did get the last buttercream! Thanks for the video!
Love the idea of these! I went to go order 2 but shipping cost more then the 2 waxed together! 😳 I wish their were more sellers in Canada. Poo.
just a fancy waxx. blue tack will do
Haha I live in Florida & absolutely love Paddywaxx. I have no problem with it. My only problem is I can’t get enough of all the wonderful scents she makes.
I heard about this a while ago. My interest is peaked. What I’m wondering is how long will a brick last? And does it dry out?
Natalie, I have been using one of her very first PaddyWaxx bricks, named Sweet Pea; for over 3 months now and not even half way thru it. And none of mine have dried out.
Tina Johnson Wow! That’s amazing! Thank you for sharing. 🙂👍🏼
I would love to get some of this, but alas, the cost of shipping to me in Australia is more than double the cost of the item.
1 piece of Paddywaxx - AU$12.45
Postage to Australia - AU$27.39
Total cost - AU$39.84
Unfortunately I cannot justify spending this much...Guess I will have to stick with the pink wax.
Ordering anything from Etsy is hard for me too due to postage, and I'm only in Canada, I did decide to order PW both kinds just because I was so frustrated with having to fill my pen so many times with the normal pink wax
you can get blutack which works just as well and is cheaper and it works great for diamond paintings :)
Heather, did you ever buy or have you found something else. Im in Australia too and would love to try too.
You guys are luckier than me. I live in asia
I would love to try some
I would love to try it, but wondering if it’s worth spending €15 on postage?
Where do you get your nails done or do you do it yourself
I do them myself. :) Thank you
Does someone make 2 placers?
dumped $50 into this stuff (reg and super) and it's pretty junky.
