FH4 and UK map just worked. People complained that "it is not in Japan" and stuff.
But it was a great game. I played it when I lived back in UK and beeing able to run around places I knew was just working for me..
People need to learn that Japan is just not going to happen, ever, there are just far too many Political and Licensing Hurdles for it to be possible.

While fh5's map may graphically look "better", fh4 in my opinion was a lot more pleasing to the eye with how the seasons changed and by changed I REALLY mean changed, not just some snow on the mountain. But I get they wanted to be accurate to Mexico so I can't fault them for that
I don't like how the roads in FH4 (UK) are narrow. But I do love how I could imitate the iconic Top Gear presenters because it's set in UK!
@@BarrySManifold I think the narrowness is what makes it fun and realistic. It's not just a boring straight line where you don't have steer at all.
It's quite sad to know this, Horizon 4 was the game that welcomed me first and with great affection to the world of online racing games, and seeing it go even hurts a little, goodbye Horizon 4... 😢
Being someone from the UK, FH4 will always have a special place in my heart
I spent around ten years living in the UK and I hope to visit again someday. In the meantime, playing FH4 is the next best thing, and I love it.

It's literally not gone. You can still get the ultimate or deluxe edition which has the dlcs. DLCs are available. Just not sold separately. And they'll go on special soon.

Any Series S owners, buy FH4 before it’s gone
I played it on my friends Xbox One but I got a Series S 2 years ago and got FH5 so I got FH4 too so I could relive the nostalgia of that game.

If you want a disc drive that can play discs, get a Series X.

@@AlwaysVotingMAGA Well the crew *HAS BEEN* shut down since March 31st this year, and forza horizon 4 is unlikely to be shut down as proven to look at forza horizon 1 & 2 the servers were shut down but still playable offline so I’m pretty sure forza horizon 3 & 4 will be the same

Remember when fortune island and lego expansions are not out yet, we all thought that one of the expansion dlc would be connected to that one forbidden bridge on the north of edinburgh in the fh4 uk map

If you got the digital FH4 you can still play,online and save the game you cannot just buy anymore. Same thing apply with physical copy, you can't buy physical copy anymore just like digital. And word of advice research before you talk.
Physical media is important but it doesn't mean much these days when you still need to download, activate or do something online on top of it. That isn't the case here though, the game is still installable and playable as long as you already own it.
in this case it makes no difference. If you got it you got it, if you don't you don't. Physical or not.

I got FH4 during Covid, it was my first Forza game... I still play it weekly but I don't do the races because apart from those pre-order cars I have all the cars. Hopefully we will be able to obtain those somehow.

Played it for first time in march of 2020 and was my comeback to forza after not playing any forza game for 3 years, it was also the first forza game i completed the campaign, and the game i discovered your channel with, so it holds a special place in my memory, and still hoping we get the shelby 1000, camaro iroc, ram trx, hoonigan bronco and quadra v-tec in horizon 5

Hi all ! anyone else having problems like me with the game? for example with vip pass.. or car pass .. or with housing? I bought a 5 million house with the help of vip pass and now I can't enter the house anymore, it says it's an error when I try to buy it again... When I saw the title my heart dropped I love this game met some friends that I still talk to I still wish that they would fix the online servers. So people can play infection without having to wait 2 hours between loading screens.
as someone who grinded for weeks on the auction house for my preorder cars i'd personally not wanna see them in the pass but itd only be fair. maybe add previous car pack cars to the pass as well since they can no longer be purchased.

I've enjoyed my time on fh4, for me personally getting me through lockdown and playing with friends or even other TH-camrs, it was just a blast despite all of its flaws and perks I've really enjoyed this game.

This is very heartbreaking! FH4 will be missed! :( That was the game I first imported past Forza titles in, and the first game in which I drove the Porsche 906 race car!
It's not that heartbreaking. It simply means you can't buy any of it any more. How can it be missed, it hasn't gone? If you have it you can still install and play the game.

They do not have a Choice, the Car companies have Refused to extend the Licenses.
Is anyone else having this issue? I have all the DLCs. Well, I thought I did. I purchased 3 individual car packs, and then I bought the car pass, which included the remaining car packs. I also have the Mitsubishi pack and the Formula drift pack. However, on some cars from the car pass, it's saying I don't own the DLC. It also appears to be saying the same thing regarding the Mitsusbi and Formula pack (I also believe they wete free). Everything else like the James Bond Pack, Hot Wheels, and the Car packs I purchased individually seem to be working fine.

Exactly. I don't have Forza 4 yet (might buy it because of the sale). But the problem is one of the DLC is free and since free DLC don't have keys how else are you supposed to get that free DLC then.

@@ld9387 The ultimate edition has most DLC's, but not all of them. One of the missing DLC's was free, so you cannot even get a code for it from keysellers.
As of right now, it has simply become impossible to get this one DLC, if you didn't have it before. 😥

I just realised that my FH4 wasn’t installed on my Xbox internal storage. It’s been so long since I played it. I really need to get cracking on it. I know I have a bunch of outstanding achievements to get so I’m copying it across now!
Fh4 was legendary. You're the reason that I like fh4 so much, if I couldn't figure out the festival playlist, the auction house, or what pre-order cars were, I probably never would have fallen in love with the game. It will forever be my favorite Forza game.
Forza horizon 4 was a huge step forward in the series and seeing it reach end of life in less than 6 months its really saddening for me as this was the forza i played the most hopefully we get news of fh6 before the years out
I got my code from Xbox yesterday. Definitely going back to get all the pre-order cars. The comradery definitely took a hit in horizon arcade. Not being able to see everyone on the map, and the points requirement rising with the number of players really hurts. Whether it's knocking out 3 rounds in under 5 minutes with a big group, or grinding out round 3 with under a minute left with just 2 players, there's something special about it that's just went away in horizon arcade.

Yea but if you own fh4 and the dlcs you will always be able to install it on your pc / console because it will be listed in the games you own just like anything else. That no biggie. But it is sad it is end of life. But at least it not like the crew games when they shut them down you are screwed. Forza is still can be mostly used. Thanks for the vid and the heads up STEVIO. I'm gutted that I put FH4 on ice for a while, but always intended to get some of the DLC at some point, particularly the Bond pack. Does anyone know, if I buy the digital Ultimate Edition can I just install the DLC packs only? I don't really want to overwrite my existing save or whatnot (I have the physical edition I bought on release). And yes I may sit tight for the next few months for sales, but otherwise I am willing to pay GBP85.00 just for those cars, and OK Fortune Island. I doubt we'll see the Aston DB10 or DBS in another game any time soon.

I started the series on Motorsport 3 and started Horizon with Horizon 2 and have enjoyed the series for a while. When I started playing old Horizon games and saw that dlc wasn't purchasable and half the cars weren't accessible is when I knew that this would be a problem. Horizon 3 already is experiencing these problems and now Horizon 4 is going to meet the same fate, and it sucks seeing this happen. Horizon 4 had its strengths and flaws but the game was good to drive around in and play around with others. Enjoy the good times while we have them... because we can never get those times back once it's over.
Just redownloaded and since I redownloaded today it didn’t let me reinstall all of my purchases so I no longer have fortune island or some of the packs like the Barrett Jackson pack

At first when I saw someone post a video on this topic, I thought it was some sort of trending joke thing. But after seeing this and a few others, I am now fully convinced that the game has run it's course. I still have the online store fh4 on my pc and well as 3 and 5 all from the windows store. I think I might still be able to play fh4 but I'll have to check that out.
I have never played a Forza game....just got FH4 standard edition on Steam. Excited to give it a try! Seems like a perfect game for the steam deck, being able to pick up and play a few races pretty quick.

Forza Horizon 4 is my 1st Horizon and i have over 3000+ hours on it. It's the best Horizon series ever in my mind.

i'm wondering how this will affect the Ford Capri Forza Edition Car. You can only get that car from doing all the Star Cards. With some of those Star Card objectives involving you having to complete a number of festival events, it won't be possible to finish some of those star cards.
You can always get it from the auction house
@@JFVideos960 Not when people can't get one to sell. It's one of those reward cars you can only get once and won't be possible to own when they stop making festival events. Unless developers want to stick the car in backstage and/or wheelspins.

The only thing I dont get is why they arent just setting the series on automatic, its not like they havent already been doing this. I am going to miss the championships. FH4 was what got me into racing games, this is the first time a game has actually made me sad.

I am very glad to hear ALL hard-to-find cars are being added to the Backstage now, and backstage passes are going to be easier to get. No more FOMO like what happened with the previous games!
Hopefully they do the Same with FH5 as well, that or Stick them in the Autoshow, as FOMO should be *illegal* as far as I am concerned, and any mechanic that removes a FOMO Element has my Support.
I still have my copy of the ultimate edition (physical media). Bought it on release day. Bought a shitload of U5023’s in my first week. Beat the game, the Fortune Island and “lego” dlc. Obtained all the rare cars (yes the ones that are impossible to get at the auction house), and ended my career on Fortune Island in the Quartz Regalia type D. Need to find my copy and reinstall it for nostalgia.

Microsoft is gonna send out Codes to those with Active Game Pass Subscriptions to keep the game, pretty sure just the Standard Edition so if you want the DLC you might have to buy the Ultimate Edition if you dont already have them.

They've deactivated the VIP pass. Dunno if this is temporary or permanent. I had to buy the Lake Lodge house for 5,000,000 credits to get the double forzathon points again, I no longer get double credits for completing an event and I didn't receive 2 free super wheelspins this morning. A bit shabby, that is.
