Really bueno video brother Nick !! Like all your content , muy chingón meaning bad ass!! Hey bro brand of swim bait and size , worked best for cabrilla? Always so fun to watch , gracias million likes! 👍 👍🤙🏽
We really appreciate it brother! Thank you for watching as always. We had the best luck on essentially the largest jerkbaits we could find. The Yo Zuri hydro minnows and Daiwa SP minnows in the largest size do well. To be honest though, it seems that Cabrilla will eat just about anything that you throw at them. We even had some fun with poppers and topwaters. Good luck!
I’ve caught yellowtail 40-50 pounds there, most the big ones come on live bait. I caught a 48 pounder once at La gaurdia the big island on a surface iron. Kicked my ass dude. That was the most legendary bite I ever got on there were acres of birds diving and nothing but foam as far as the eye can see and all the yellows were like 25-35 pounders with a rare 40. It was INSANE. This was mid to late June in 2012. Insane year.
Wow. That sounds absolutely legendary. I would die for a day like that! We are headed back there in a few days. Looking forward to it. Maybe we will get lucky like that one of these years!
I’ve stayed at that place over 30 times. I’ve stayed in that exact room about 5 times lol. Love that place, I wish I could stay there forever. I will be going in July this year, hopefully gonna get some giant grouper on topwaters and big striper glide baits 😂. Wish me luck.
Was that an Okuma Cedros rod you were speed jigging with? I got one buy never speed jigged with it. I'm taking it to cedros island next week. Did it handle the yellows ok?
Quit blowing up Villa Bahia! Lol! That's the best spot in la ba... er.. I mean.. that place sucks! Don't go there hahha. Glad you had a good time. BOLA is special. Just a tip: if you want to really tap into baja, try exploring the places most people pass by. Bola is amazing, but it's about a 3/5 compared to some other places.
Haha trust me, I’m on your side with that! Our plan is to get out and explore Baja bit by bit. It definitely gets better. Would love to hear some of your favorite spots. Maybe off line would be best for that 😂

Stoked to see a new vid! Hope to see more in 2024.
We have a bluefin episode coming in a few days. Stand by! Thanks for the patience.
Ya boys!
Can’t wait to get back down there! It’s about that time
Good video man. Where did you guys target the grouper? Was that along the coast or out at the islands?

Good luck! We went in July last year. June this year. It doesn’t seem to matter all that much. The fishing is always epic.
New video! Lets go! You guys gonna have some SoCal bluefin footage this year?
Yessir! We will be releasing everything from last season. Stay tuned! Good stuff to come. Thanks brother!

Yes it is! Hard to beat that rod for the price. Handled those yellows no problem. Good luck out there! Cedros is one of the places on my list
@@leverupsportfishing I actually asked a question to tackle direct why it was so cheap! Lol
