- Willie, Sarah and their dog, Jack Spaniels, continue their biggest adventure yet - leaving their suburban life and moving over the sea to 'Live The Skye Life'!
In this episode, the Skyelifers head into a new woodland location on the Isle of Skye to forage for Wille's favourite mushroom - but we came across some things we weren't expecting to find!!
Also, Sarah shows you the process of painting a wild orchid from Scotland's far north coast - her first painting since we renovated the outbuilding into studio spaces.
Plus we are back in the kitchen, sharing some secret cooking tips for the mushrooms we foraged.

I was thinking you guys might be vegetarians, you eat lots of 'shrooms, seafood ... but this is the first time I have seen you do pork!
I think that your art works should belong in a prestigious gallery, you need to be world renowned because you are VERY talented!!
Talented without a doubt; amazingly so. But, world renowned artists are original creators, not painting from photos. Notwithstanding, outstanding skill.
@@allangoodison1449all the artists I know use photos as references for their paintings. And I know many, many painters. My father, my sister, and my best friend are all painters. Fantasy painters paint from imagination, but they still need a reference for what they paint.
😂 oh Jack! Ya funny wee dog! Question re: mushtooms/Jack. Do you ever worry he'll eat a poisonous one by mistake? Some friends of ours had a dog that got terribly sick and nearly died after getting a non edible in his mouth. I can't remember what kind of mushroom
it was but it was just growing out in the back garden among the grass. Very scary for the family.

A lot of the masters use a trace copy lens selling on TH-cam & other places .
Also many renown artist do use a photograph so bah! on you . Many more stuff artist do to get their art in any medium executed.
If you not know this then you behind the times l still learning what it took artist we come to know amire.
Few only paint it all one time on the spot.
I ate my age still learning this.
Sarah just have to hook up with some one who sponsor her like an Agent to get if she wishes out to more menus & few as original water colours she uses to create her style of fune art any one be over joyed if like this firm of art yi delight their space.

As a German and thus someone from Schnitzel nation, I have to say two things: Fist, these mushroom bread crumbs sound amazing! Second, I recommend adding salt, pepper and (optional) paprika powder to the meat before rubbing on flour, dipping it in the egg and then breading it. That will give you a little extra flavour for your meal.
Loved all the outtakes with Jack crashing every single take, that was hilarious (and adorable).

Oh, my goodness! I had to go back to watch the "Hi, folks!" greeting after watching your numerous attempts in the blooper reel. Great job getting through all that! Loved to go on your foraging hike with you and the ever helpful Jack Spaniels. My favorite walk is through a forest... bonus points for the cascading creek & waterfall!! Soo nice to watch Sarah paint once again. I had almost forgotten how Willie's guitar adds to Sarah peacefully creating. I hadn't noticed the lighting issue but I am glad you turned your desk, if only for the gorgeous view. Your creativity in the kitchen was also great fun to see. Everything looked yummy! You have a beautiful existence in a truly magical place! ~ All the best from northern Idaho, USA!

I love they way you are working.
I would describe it as a deconstruction of the subject and then bringing out the essence of it.
It reminds me of the naturalists in the 18th and 19th century. Documenting the beauty of nature. Your approach is more modern, but I see the same quality in it.

Your forging for mushrooms was exciting. Love watching you when you are painting your painting of the orchid is beautiful. I like the way you have your desk now before you were getting a shadow from your body blocking the light. The view out the door is very beautiful and very calming. I wish that you tube was smell a vision mushrooms smell yummy when they are cooking up.

Really glad to see Willie a bit more recovered, it’s always a worry when someone gets covid what the recovery is going to be like. If you ever find yourself in Germany look for a Brauhaus and ask for a Schnitzel mit Champignon-Rahm, obviously also mit Pommes. They are amazing, and yours looked so tasty as well.

It was "Uig" on Skye that they looked at a house.. not Lerwick altho it sounded a bit like it.😊

I cant wait to add this beautiful orchid to my Sarah collection! On Christmas day last year we lost our home to a house fire. We lost everything. I decided that from now on I will only own things that bring me joy and your paintings of things you see throughout Scotland do that. Lovely from start to finish. The painting is beautiful & so botanically accurate. I’d love to learn to mushroom hunt, I need to know the difference between real & false chanterelles. Marsala is also lovely with mushrooms. Good to see Willie feeling better.

Ok there's rain AND rain... Willie? But if you still stayed in Kirkcaldy it would just be rain... You now have the added adventure of road works.. Mmmmmmmmm........Schnitzel had my mouth watering as thats my favourite meal when travelling in Germany! The mushrooms looked great too. Worcester is pronounced Wuster. Googfle even has an audio pronunciation of it! Enjoyed Sarahs art lesson too.....very therapeutic watching people paint or draw. 😎👍

Your Spotted Orchid is superb. I was waiting all through to see the spots.
The cooking section had my mouth watering. I call the sauce woooster.
Thyme grows nicely in high traffic areas. If you sprinkle the seeds now you may see them sprout before winter.
I love the variety it comes in.
Summer Savory is really nice with chicken but is an annual where I live. The Winter Savoury is bitter, but perennial.

The variety of mushrooms you get is amazing. The purple ones are worthy of being the subject of a painting. Beautiful colour.
A seafood cottage has opened near me and I got a lobster bisque and the top of two bodies in case the bisque needs more.
Now I’m hungry just thinking about it.
