Don't try and rush getting back to full speed, a bit of rest time now will really help in the long run . I rushed back too soon into the mad dashing about. It took six extra weeks to get better. Take care, love your video's.
Enjoying the beautiful sunshine in Portree today from a cruise ship will catch-up on your videos when we arrive back in Australia
Richard really is the 4th emergency service 🤣
Everyone needs a Richard!
🤣
🤙🏻😄
Blow out 😮lol
Pleased to hear you're feeling a bit better Willie. Don't rush your recovery, it's not to be taken lightly. ❤
Good advice this. It’s not linear either.
It isn’t! And that may be shocking, but there it is. Feel good, then don’t again. Do some extra listening to your body.
Willie's kind words about his fan's concerns brought tears to my eyes.
I think he’s got more than one! Add me to the fan list for both of them please.
Me too . Always look forwards to Sunday's to see what they have been up and show us some lovely scenery and what they have been doing.
Agree 💯.tears in me glass eye xxx
Get well soon! It took me three months to regain my sense of taste and smell which has never been the same as it was, and the tiredness took ages to recover from but I am an old fart so there is that! Love watching your adventures!❤
Don't rush the recovery. Tooke over a month for me to get past the overwhelming fatigue. Sending continued prayers from West Virginia, USA
5 months until I could move out of bed for me. I hate Covid😞
Richard is such a useful and true friend indeed. Friends like him are worth their weight in gold. Hope the lobster pots work!
Richard is a ROCK STAR!
We need a Richard t shirt! Living the Skye Life with Willie, Sarah, Jack Spaniels and our friend Richard!
Resting after getting a negative result is the difference between getting well and long covid. Im glad you're feeling better Willy and Sarah you're a bloody legend . ❤
You do know that B.O.A.T stands for “break out another thousand!”
Glad you are feeling better, and everyone needs a Richard in their life.
That is so true and it made me laugh. Yes everyone needs a Richard in their lives, mines a Robert brother in law.
Once knew a guy who bought a boat. Every time we turned around he was having to fix something. In the end he named the boat “Buck sucker!” Buck in American slang is dollar.
I was just about to make the same comment, we live full-time on our narrowboat so my wallet has plenty of experience with this acronym!
Richard to the rescue! What a superhero! 🛟
So pleased to hear that Willie is now on the mend and has now tested negative. Yay! Fingers crossed you’ll soon be back to your old self very soon.
Richard the Rescuer does it again, Get well soon Willie and regards to all from Australia.(Originally from Stornoway and lived 12 great years on Skye until 1985)
Life is easier when you have a wonderful neighbour like Richard :-D Glad to hear you're on the mend, Willie. How fortunate Sarah didn't get sick as well!
Willie - Keep warm, sleep as needed and enjoy the first aid
Sarah - Please release some more cups. I've missed them (an hour after the video went up)
Jack - Woof, wooooof, growl, wooof
Willie you behave and respect your body’s need for rest. If you do that you’ll recover fully but if you don’t you could continue to linger. Worse yet if you don’t take the time needed you could stay weakened and catch again! Be well and patient. 💕
Great advice. Mum used to add a week home on top of the doctor's advice. D-i-l couldn't wait to get back to work & she didn't get her energy back for months.❤
My husband was down for 5 weeks with that crap. He is like you, always busy and each time he had a feel better moment, he had a set back. So stay quiet, rest, get some quinine (hit it's in tonic water) and feel better soon. As always sarah is holding down the fort.
I thought quinine was for malaria?
Hi, folks, I am a Brazilian big fan. I have lived in Edinburg many years ago and visited in 2019. Love Scotland. Your life style is inspiring. Greetings from São Paulo
❤Luv ya bunches, Willie, and Sarah, and Jack Spaniels ❤
So glad you’re on the mend now Willie. Still take it slowly though! Richard is a star again - we all need a Richard!
Like you, I had covid but got I it twice! Both times, it was delivered to my home by people that were sick! I worked in a grocery store the whole time and never caught it! I guess I asked for free home delivery! I had bronchitis years before and between the two, i would rather have covid again! The bronchitis had my chest and lungs hurting from all the coughing! The body aches, ugh! Covid was like a sinus infection and exhaustion! The exhaustion lasted over a month!
Stay well and hats off to Richard for his help to you guys!
So glad Willie is feeling better. Covid really is nasty and it just takes time to get over it. Your remarks Willie made me cry, so sincere and from the heart. ❤
Can't wait to see more of your adventures when you are recovered.
Hope Sarah had a nice birthday, it will take a while to recover so just look after yourself and hope you get better soon ❤
I'm taking a break from cleaning and enjoying your video! Thanks for posting even through Willy's illness! That Richard is a true friend and a great neighbor! 🤙
Glad you are feeling better Willie and don't take on too much, Sarah ❤
What a star Richard is …brilliant friend x x
Glad to hear Willie is doing better. Take care in the meantime and don't rush the recovery. It'll all be there when you're back to normal ❤
I am so glad you are feeling better Willie, I hope your strength returns asap. I am so glad that you filmed so much of your life so Sarah had something to put up without stress. Sarah I am very happy that you did not get that awful illness, I know what it is like to take care of someone with Covid that you can only do so much to help(very frustrating) Thanks Richard for your awesome help with our favorite Skye Lifers again.
You two are amazing, and Jack, too, of course. Take care! Feel better, Willie! Stay well, Sarah! Pets to Jack.
Ugh! That darn boat! jk
Richard is Jack of all trades. A good friend to have… Glad you are on the mend Willie. Printer issues can be a pain, glad Sarah got it sorted.
Look forward to watching your videos. Take care of each other… oh yeah, more Jack Spaniels please 😊
Yay for Richard! Always there to the rescue. Good to hear Willie starting to feel better. Getting the sleep is good as your body needs to heal. Glad Sarah did not get sick from it. Knock on wood. 😊
It is Sunday and lunch time....must be time for Skye life. Perfect way to rest.
What in the world would we all do without Richard? He is such a good friend. I know that sensation of no taste or smell. That was the strangest experience ever. It’s been 6 weeks for me and still - everyday around 2:00 I want to fall asleep. Please be kind to your body and also to your amazing caretaker. Sara is awesome. Well wishes …. Carla
Hello Sarah, Willie and Jack Spaniels. Willie, I'm glad to see you up and about after the Covid deal. That is not something I'd ask for ever. Please friends, stay safe and may you find lots of lobsters in your traps. Thank you for a good time. Hope your Birthday was a Happy one Sarah.
Great to hear Willie finally tested negative. I fall into the "elderly and vulnerable" category and when Covid began spreading it put the fear of God in me. You definitely need a spare wheel for your trailer....cost will soon be offset when you catch your first lobster in pots and rope which came free!! 😊
Hats off to Richard! Glad for the recovery!
Two things about living up on Skye - 1) you'll learn to do a lot of things yourself 2) there's a Richard everywhere to give you that leg up (and maybe one day you'll be somebody's Richard)
Hi guys @woof..Glad to see Willie's on mend it really took him down, frustrating when hes always on the go.. Sarah da bones mugs look nice, must get to etsy!.. Richard is the guy, is his surname Sorted!! 😂😂.. The lobby's will be in the freezer soon,.. Great job on fixing up, hope the wee boat starts to enjoy it's new home and perhaps needs a dram poured over her keel. 😊. More stunning scenery, and that old Inn is on my list, plus a chance to watch the sheep playing dare in the shallows... Looking at comments great to people all over the world tuning in, great for you 3 and channel but also for Bonnie Scotland, loads of adventures to come, thanks again.. Can almost taste the lobster lol
Cheers fea Dunfermline,
Rab 🏴👍😎🥃🥃🍻🍺🥃🥃
I love Skye, but I don't drive and need to have a good plan for visiting. Glad to see Willie is recovering. Jack has obviously worn himself out. Poor dog, too many things needing his atttention.
Absolutely love the channel. One thing, check the date on the fire extinguisher on the boat. We don’t want you relying on something that is past it’s lifespan. Boat fires are no joke. Not hexing the boat, just want you to be safe
Everyone needs a friend like Richard! What a LEDGE :)
I'm glad Captain Willie is testing negative. Sarah did an outstanding job as the estate manager with help from Jack Spaniels. 😊😊😊
Glad Willie is beginning to feel better from the dreaded covid. Take it easy give your body time to recover. Absolutely adore Jack Spaniels. He is such a gorgeous dog 🐶
❤❤🐾🐾We LOVE you guys here from Belleville ON Canada 🇨🇦 sooooo glad to hear you're feeling better Willie and Especially that Sarah 'hasn't' caught it! HEY GUYS YOU JUST DON'T REALIZE you could film yourselves washing dishes and we'd watch the whole thing!! LoveLoVeLOVE everything you share with us!! Stranded sheep, popped tires & Lobster pot knots 🪢 Bring it A L L on! We can hardly wait for the next adventure!! Xoxo 😘🇨🇦😘 love from Carol, Mike and Kiki our 🐾🐾husky fur bomb!!😂🤣😂
Well done to you 2 for getting thru all yr trials the last few weeks. Y're 🌟 🌟's & so is Richard 🌟 Am so glad u feel better Willie. Brave man. Look forward to yr lobsters, that'll make it all worth it. And Happy Birthday Sarah & yr mugs are Superb 👌 Y've got a winner with those, without-a-doubt. 💫
Rest up Willie and hope you feel better soon, like Sarah been lucky not to caught it 🤞🏻 😷. Loved this weeks update. Missed out on a print in the sale Sarah but I torn between your beautiful bee & butterfly and wild flower, already have your thistle. 🙂. Boy I hope the boat isn’t jinxed lol. Richard is a legend..🦸🏻♂️
Richard really is the man! A good friend is a precious thing.
So glad that COVID is over and done with for a while. I do feel that the teething troubles you're having with the boat are just a normal part of buying a secondhand boat. You're putting things right bit by bit and soon you'll just be enjoying having your own boat. Dear Richard - whatever would you do without him? He's an absolute Godsend. I'm sure you're learning from him all the time too, Willie.
Very happy to hear you are recovering Willie. Covid is a bitch. This was such a good video, thank you both and Jack of course. You’ll get the boat sorted and when you do you’ll know it inside and out. Take care.
Go Richard!! What a great friend.
Glad ur feeling better wullie, plenty vitamin C & water. Jack really is a water baby 😂 a typical spaniel
Wullie check out The fish locker he's good. He puts out lobster pots 👍
Great to see you getting through the dreaded virus-really, take it easy-the after effects (low energy, extreme tiredness), can take months to fully disappear. And best of luck sorting out the pesky boat! You guys are a huge inspiration to so many.
Glad you are better Willie but take it easy.
Looking forward to some lobster adventures too. Btw everyone needs a Richard in their lives ☺️
Glad to hear Willie is improving. As others have said, be careful not to rush the recovery - and don’t forget to take care of yourself Sarah. Hope you continue to get some lovely weather and can rest and enjoy it.
Glad Willie tested negative.. finally..
And Richard to the rescue.
Brilliant that Willie is now negative. I know it's not in your nature but try take it easy the next few weeks. I speak from experience, got me twice. It's fantastic that you are selling the wee flawed prints. I would definitely get a thistle mug if you do them again. Richard is an excellent guy. Thank you for sharing.
So glad Covid has gone Willie! Poor you, it is horrid! I guess Richard is a wheely good friend and I'm impressed with your lobby pot repairs! Hoping you'll be getting out soonest!
It is so fun to see how many people check their weekly calendars for another episode from the Skye Life Cottage! I sure do! Always new stuff to learn about your beautiful and interesting life. I had never thought about repairing lobster pots or whether sheep could swim, until today! Richard's shop is just as I imagined, though. A conglomeration of "stuff" (replace with your own word) for any & every fixit endeavour! I laughed when I read the comment about Richard being the "4th emergency service". So true. Love that your plans include getting back into your art, both of you... we've missed that! Sarah, your mugs are beautiful! Willie, seeing the brightness come back into your eyes after your bout with the dreaded Covid is a blessing. So thankful your recovery is progressing well... please remember to continue to heed your body's signals as you get back to full health (That's me, the retired nurse, speaking). Thank you again for a lovely glimpse. Have a great week! (Hugs to Jack! 🤗)
I am so glad to hear Willie is on the mend. I am happy Sarah is negative. I enjoy watching all of you every week. Take care and continue to feel better. ❤
The look on Jacks face when you ask him a question. His look says "you know i dont speak human"
Sorry about your trip down covid lane..hope you're better soon take it easy
Willie, so wonderful to see you feeling better in your recovery from the nasty “C”. Be sure to continue to rest and recover and not push yourself. Thank you both so much for the wonderful content you always provide. We truly look forward with anticipation of your posts!!!
❤❤❤
Once again Richard to the rescue.
My husband used to say there two good days having a boat, the day you buy it and the day you sell it 🥴.
Things can only get better Willie.
Thanks for the entertaining vid .
😊
So glad you’re feeling better Willie. I love the coffee mugs Sarah. ❤
Keep filming Willie and Sarah and we will all keep watching as it's a lovely way to end a Sunday evening watching your adventures with Jack, the boat and of course the ever reliable Richard!!. Glad your felling a bit better now Willie 👍 🤟🤟🤟
Hi guys
I am watching your channel from San Diego, California I am from Hamilton Scotland and my family still live there. I just want to tell you that you give me so much joy watching your adventures. My dad would have loved you guys. He was always salvaging things. He even found a boat in three pieces on the Isle of Bute and took it home to make a wee boat just like yours. Thanks for making me smile and giving me comfort when I get homesick.
I am looking forward to watching your future adventures.
Bless your hearts, both of you! I hope you are feeling better soon, Willie. You are such a wonderful support, Sarah. I hope you stay well. The new mugs are gorgeous! Loving the ever happy, tail-wagging Jack Spaniels! I used to live in Newfoundland, and there's nothing like fresh lobster. Good luck with the pots. You are so lucky to have a neighbour and friend like Richard! We all need a Richard! Take care all of you!
Richard u are our hero always saving Willie!! I hope when Willie catches his lobsters he will get a couple for u too! I love how u are using beach debre to save money those pots are going to be amazing! Glad ur feeling better Willie hopefully Sarah doesn't get sick! 🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤
Great to hear that Willie is getting better. Keep up the faith with the boat. What a great friend you have in Richard. Looking forward to next Sunday. Stay safe ❤
Yay its Sunday, my favourite day of the week ❤
Glad Willie is on the mend! I was really worried about those sheep today and glad they swam to safety. They must be very heavy when the fleeces get soaked. I think a “Richard” should be available to contact for everyone! !
Get well soon Willie. Welldone Sarah for looking after him
Had covid myself. The only thing to do is rest. That's how you start feeling better. Slowing down may be hard but that's what your body needs. Glad you're seeing the end of it finally.
You are so lucky to have Richard as a neighbor and good friend. Luck to you on catching lobsters, can’t wait to see that. Btw, don’t over do it once you think you are well. I had Covid last year and while I tested negative after a month it took months before my energy returned not to mention my taste was a little off for about 6months. Love you guys and I wish all the best for you
So pleased you’re on the mend Willie .. but make sure to take the recovery easy ..not too much exertion now ..!!
Glad your getting better, unfortunately a lot of people I’ve spoken too, including my dad said that the loss of taste and the fatigue lasts for quite awhile but does come back. Sorry that the boat is giving trouble, but thank goodness for Richard. Take care and thanks for the update and sharing your adventure 👍🙏❤️
Willie...so glad you've now tested negative, but please still take it easy and recover well. Fresh sea air does wonders so you're in the right place. Hopefully you have been able to get out on the boat. I'm sure it will prove to be a source of joy ...and I'm looking forward to seeing the lobsters you catch. Sarah, your mugs look amazing, wonderful. You are very talented. You have inspired me to start painting again. Best wishes to you both.
Wow! Covid and a water-phobic boat is a lot to cope with, poor Willie. I hope you fully recover soon and get your day on the water, you certainly deserve it.
So glad you’ve tested negative Willie😊….. 🤞fingers crossed that Sarah stays COVID free …..super video as always 👏
The two happiest days in owning a boat is the day you buy it and the day you sell it. There are a bunch of nice days in between. Don't give up! They're coming. COVID took me out too just a month ago.....take advantage of the hospitality. Get well!
Glad to see you are recovering but take it easy and Richard is a god send to you and Sarah x
So glad to hear Willie is coming out of it. I also couldn't believe how much I slept when I had it last year. Can't wait to see the lobster catch ;-) And Richard is a hero. Sarah I love your prints.
After having two vaccinations and two booster shots I got Covid and it knocked me on my butt for 3 weeks. Glad you are feeling better.
Dear Sarah, Willie and Jack.
👍👌👏 2) I wish you to recover completely from this shitty virus. 3) You definitely didn't have a problem with your boat! Don't let this even settle in your mind. You only had a flat tire on the boat trailer! And that's quite a difference. By the way: The black round thing mounted to the front of your boat trailer looks suspiciously like a spare tire. Isn't it one? Please get yourself at least a wheel wrench (cross type). With soooo much water around you, it's common to own a boat.
Thanks a lot for making explaining recording editing uploading and sharing.
Best regards, luck and especially health to all 3 of you (plus Richard).
It’s not a spare tyre unfortunately - it’s for moving the trailer on land.
@@livingtheskyelife
Thanks for replying and especially for giving a heart to my comment. I always and totally appreciate both very much (as you know).
2) Such a big wheel for the reason you mentioned? Oh wow. I have trailers too and the biggest wheel on the rotatable/turnable drawbar jack might be around 20cm in diameter. First time I see something like your trailer has. Maybe it's all different in the Scottish Highlands!? 😁 ;-)
3) Please kindly allow me to suggest that you get yourself a spare wheel now. Additionally some proper tools.
Hope that the virus lost his power at last and you are healthy again.
Sincerely yours
Glad you're feeling better, Willie! Love the mugs, Sarah! Woof, Jack Spaniels. ❤
Glad you are free of Covid !!. And your boat saga is hopefully over now and you can get some enjoyment our of it. Hopefully you can catch some lobsters now that you have the pots.
I'm glad Sara said "don't do too much to soon". Y'all been so busy and done much this year. Glad you are on the mend.
Glad to see Willy is on the mend, well done to Sarah and Jack for looking after him. I'm a engineering and electrical Consumables Sales man, we also sell tools and I am over on Skye once a month so give me a shout if you need anything
So glad Willie has tested negative. Please take it slow until your energy returns. So sorry you have been so ill. Sarah, you have done a fantastic job taking care of Willie and getting videos out. Love to you both. Hopefully covid is in the past.
The boat looks lovely. I think you made a fine choice. Please thank Richard. He is a great friend to you and very handy repair person. Hope next week finds you both well.
So very pleased to hear you've tested negative, Willie. Just take it easy your health is at the top of the list. Hope your don't get it, Sarah. Take care both of you.
Really glad to hear that you are doing better now, keep smiling you will soon be outside and playing with Sarah and Jack Spaniel !
I would not be surprised that sheep are reluctant to swim as thier fleece is a wonderful water absorber once it gets wet it is heavy very heavy.
Take your time getting better Willie. Don't rush it! Covid is nasty. Hope you are having the occasional wee dram to lift your spirits 😉. Sarah is doing a great job looking after you and plenty cuddles from Jack. 😊
I’m loving the music you are making Willie. The tiredness might last for a while sweetheart…sorry about that so don’t get cross at yourself! You are a great couple.❤️🌈❤️
Thank goodness for Richard. He really is a blessing to you.
Glad to hear you are doing better and COVID is on its' way out.
I had COVID the Jan it first showed up and while I really was only ill for two or three days and thought I had dodged a bullet it messed up my immune system and I've paid the price ever since. That is the issue with COVID, you just don't know how it will affect you. Please allow your body to heal as if you push it you will pay for it. Make sure you don't overtaxed yourself, allow your body to heal.
Sarah.... can't believe you didn't catch it as well. You must have an incredible immune system.
Hope you are able to enjoy some time on your boat soon. Take care and I'm really enjoying watching you " Living the Skye life"
speedy recovery and best wishes from Canada
Welcome back to the world of the living Willie. Covid does tend to wipe you out. However you need a good nurse to look after you, so well done Sarah. And Jack of course. Looking good for the future with the pots. Just need a reliable boat now. Good luck all round folks. Stay safe
Glad your feeling better Willie, top man, good job you had nurse Sarah on hand, what a star!! Loved the show and the bloopers 😂😂👍
Glad to see Willie’s on the mend…..and so glad Sarah hasn’t gotten sick (knocking on wood as I’m typing). Looking forward to seeing you all out on the boat and can’t wait to see how the lobster pots work out. I usually start getting the Sunday blues in the evening, not looking forward to getting up for work Monday morning…so I’ve started saving your video until Sunday night so I have something to look forward to and keep my spirits up. It’s become my new routine. Thanks so much!! ☺️
Hope Willie is well on the road to recovery and he can get grumpy again with the boat...you are both having a busy time . Good to see the legend Richard in this episode..sending you very best wishes
Praying Willie will soon be on the mend and he'll soon be out on his boat. I'm also looking forward to receiving my Scottish sheep print in the near future as well which will hang in my living room in Philadelphia, Pa USA. I visited Skye 5 years ago with my family and fell in love with the Island, people and wildlife. Thanks for bringing that memory back every Sunday for me.
