    Suggest you look into solder and seal connectors. Even better than a butt connector.

    Great job! I will probably get a different toggle switch (smaller) and mount it on the 12V cover so no wires will show.

    You can wire the lights through the taillights up top to avoid seeing the wires going into the grommet.

      That's how I would have done it. I also would have put the lights up another inch or two up behind the lip of the bedside so you can't see the LED strip.
      Either way, still looks nice. 👍🏼

    Awesome vid. Hey heads up though. Your bed assist shock is upside down. Flip it over and it’ll avoid crap collecting on the seal and ram 🤙🏻

    That's the type system I want to do except work a choice of colors. Clean installation.

    Any reason you didn’t install the rear one that goes against the cab? Great video by the way, thank you.

      No need to do that when there is a stock cables already back there.

    Great video. You do such clean, professionally looking upgrades! Do the lights have an automatic shutoff? I worry about leaving it on and draining the battery.

      I know this is an old comment, but the prewired cutouts in the bed that he used are running off of a switched fuse. So they'll only work if the truck is running and for a few minutes after it's turned off.

    How do you know where to cut the 60” LED strip to fit the shorter Maverick bed?

    • @RaffiRed
      @RaffiRed  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because you tape the light first and then you cut it when it reaches where ever you wanted to reach.

    • @alanwright782
      @alanwright782 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can technically cut it wherever you want it. So don’t let it put to much pressure on you when you go to shorten it.

      @heroofharo ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What do you mean?

    • @elpupusero
      @elpupusero ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @heroofharo normally open magnetic switch

    • @heroofharo
      @heroofharo ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@elpupusero so do you just put that on the tailgate, and once you open, the loss of magnetism turns the light on?

    • @RaffiRed
      @RaffiRed  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @fiestaport I also would like to know how that works too, I may want to change it to that method who knows if it works.

    • @elpupusero
      @elpupusero ปีที่แล้ว

      @heroofharo you install the magnetic switch on the side of the bed next to the tail light and install the magnet on the door so when the door open the light turn on and when the door closed the light will go off,,

    you did not show where you connected the ford wire to the truck,... so I am left in the dark.

    • @RaffiRed
      @RaffiRed  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I demonstrated that in the video. I connected it to the stock wires on the rear inside the bead truck. Inside the black cover on the left side. I hope that works. Thanks for watching and for your comment.
