Great recipe! Made this at home and it turned out super delicious and authentic. Only change I had to make is because I didn't have dried ikan bilis so I used dried scallops.
Thanks for sharing this recipe! I live in Sacramento n no Singaporean food around here. I was craving bak chor mee so bad, n Im gonna make it now. Ur recipe seems simple and easy to follow, thank u!

You should have an instagram of all the sporean hawker centre dishes !! I grew up in spore but live aboard now (UK & australia) & and miss spore food so much !! Restaurant mostly are Chinese restaurants and food consist mainly of stir fry dishes! There are Malaysian restaurants but they do halal style most dishes so it's not the same 😒 if you do instagram please don't forget to say in your channel !! Definitely will follow and would love to cook daily sporean hawker food !!
You're absolutely right. Made this and ended up using so many pots, utensils, buying so many different ingredients and not to forget, making the lard... its a seriously big operation.
I love eating this bak chor mee very much but somehow couldn't find the nice mee in Johor, so i follow the instruction as in the video to cook this mee and the result came out was excellent, but that's only one time i try, too tedious, haha. * i used to tapao 10 bags of bak chor mee and bring back to Malaysia to eat.
It would be great if a list of steps and ingredients are shown towards the end of the video. Trying to make this Bar Chor Mee for my Singaporean boyfriend in Melbourne 😂 -Catherine, from Malaysia-
Bakchormee is my fav singaporean food ❤️

Teochew style, you use dried solefish. Dry fry, grind some of it into powder, add it to the sauce mixture in the bowl before adding noodles
Nice recipe, yummy but lot of work preparation .
Thanks for sharing I watching now 2021

Man, theres so much effort involved into making meepok, I'm so lazy I'd probably just fork out $3 and buy a bowl outside lol
