I won't lie chef, my sister/brother-in-law invited me and my partner to travel with them to Japan next year and I am covertly trying to convince them to do Vietnam instead. :P This year we all went to Scotland together and I played some of your videos during down time at our AirBnB. The seed has been planted... I want to experience Vietnam above any other country. All thanks to you.
@@thefurmidablecatlucky3 I would, but time off work and finances currently limit us to one international trip in the next few years given everything else we have planned. :)
Hey, if u want to cook the beef faster next time. I'd suggest u to buy a "nồi áp suất" in that way you will save so much time on cooking those bad boys
damm this is awesome content bro. Also that Bơ kho quẹt is interesting...your recipes are always traditional but also innovative and experimental and i like that.
Suggestion for butter kho quẹt, when you mixing butter throw some fresh minced garlic (not so much, fresh garlic really strong) and abit white pepper. Or u can actually use from fried garlic bit mixing into the butter it gonna pump the flavor alot but the downside is fried garlic will overpower the flavor of kho quẹt. It's up to you taste. Also not much people know but you actually can tender the beef in baking soda solution, that gonna cut off the time of cooking.
This video….Love it. Have you ever thought of subtitle it with Vietnamese so that Viet Kieu oversea not speaking English could view and enjoy, appreciate…that way will bring more income👍
@@user-wg4ie9pb3x Nothing. You put the mushrooms in when the pan is hot. Then the mushrooms will release moisture on it's own while developing flavors. Remove mushrooms and add to stew later. They will absorb a lot of that stew and will make for a better experience. You don't wanna bite into little sponges of oil
Comfort beef stew… interesting that you didn’t peel the tomatoes 🍅 before blending? You are so funny when you cook foods recipes like flying by the seat of your pants 😂😂 a bit of this a bit of that.. why didn’t you throw the mic around to each of ya guests to get their thoughts ?
i love the ways u creating a new dish, but can u stop destroying the beef with pineapple pls. F the pineapple, is suck, except canh chua. Keep the good work. Love u contents ❤

lmao, that one request on no durians, must had a traumatizing past ,
honestly, Durian paste ice cream goes really well as dessert
So kind of you to treat these kind people to a sumptuous feast.
Love this. Great work for those guys.
I loved hearing your thought process when putting these dishes together. BTW it looked amazing

Damm this whole meal is crazyy creative, good job chef.
I really like this style of video. Good work Chad. You should sprinkle more of these into your mix. Makes your brand even more unique
Excellent content, love your creative, not afraid to experimenting and combining Eastern and Western ingredients ❤

I buy evaporated and condensed coconut milk at my local Chinese/SE Asian wholesaler for the sweetness aspect. Evaporated is great in coffee...
Very cool video

How was that bread? Would love to hear more of how things turned out and more commentary on the end result!
The bread was great, I will definitely capture more of the full experience next time.
Hey Chad, next time of stewing something, you can try a pressure cooker or a thermal cooker 😅
This video….Love it. Have you ever thought of subtitle it with Vietnamese so that Viet Kieu oversea not speaking English could view and enjoy, appreciate…that way will bring more income👍
Long time no see
Bro know the word "việt kiều" nice
well the beef you can cook in the pressure pot, easy way to make the beef tender.
But less flavour. Slow cooking develop the flavours.
There are rules Cooking Vietnamese dishes. First, avoid rushing or shorten the process that is to say Vietnamese slow cook is famous.
no durian is devastating
This guy cooks better than Joe Bastianich
I think it's best not to use oil when frying mushrooms. Especially if you're trying to build that 'dark flavor'. The mushroom will just soak it all up
What do you suggest as an alternative to oil?

You don't wanna bite into little sponges of oil
This requires Worcestershire sauce
Use electric pressure cooker to cook meat faster and softer 😉
No double dipping chef !!!!
17:20 was that water in that spray? does water make the outside crispier?
Yes just water, trying to replicate a steam injected oven and yes this is done to make it crispier
😎👍
Have you ever consider registering for MasterChef 🤣
Did I see Chris Tran in that video? I follow him on IG. One of those ex-pats you were referring to.
Yep, he’s awesome
I would have used a pressure cooker on the beef. Are there a reason for you to not use one?
I'm kinda fuck with kho quet compound butter

why didn’t you throw the mic around to each of ya guests to get their thoughts ?
I was too focused on cooking not filming. I will get the space mic’d up soon to hear the guests and to livestream it

🤣🤣, it suck but not in canh chua?? OK, i love it always
