The biggest thing people don't account for with posture is the length of your arms. Given that you hands are very upright through impact, if you have long arms then standing tall st address, a bit like Scheffler, will give you room for impact. Like your picture I think too many people are obsessed with angles at address and can't hold them through the swing, leading to early extension. It's better to stand upright and work back down to the ball.
Great video! Thank you! A great video on hip rotation would be amazing from transition, top of backswing through impact. Lots of discussion on squat move (do you just sit? Do you push your legs back from toes?), how do you get your hips to open (push from trail side big toe? Push lead side heel? Both and/or when?). Thank you!
This video... 10/10. Simple info, but it made me realize I was both sitting back way too much and needed to get rid of the access arch in my lower back. Fixed the stance and INSTANTLY improved my striking. Had my best day of golf, by far.
This worked like a treat guys, was out trying it yesterday and hit almost every iron shot much much better whilst thinking about the positioning.👍👍 Just need the same thing for driver now please 😁😁
Great stuff guys, As an older beginner golfer this type of issue is still my biggest struggle getting some consistency with my Irons and Driver. Even on the range still 🤨🤨
Great video! Were you guys watching me Tuesday? Went out & couldn't turn properly, my posture felt poor. Result: 7 iron 140 yds (urgghh; usually 150-160); 8 iron 125 (urgghh; usually 140-150 yds). This video confirms that bad things happen when we take fundamentals for granted. Many thanks for the great work you guys put in for us.
Everyone always talks about an over the top driver slice but can you do a video on how to fix a driver slice that is not over the top? The only one I've seen speak to this is Danny Maude and it'd be great to see you guys sharing your insights into a different type of slice.
Hi Dan. This is all club face then. Your face is open to the path. Fix the face first and you're good to go. We actually have "Fix Your Slice" System in our app. It has everything in there to fix the slice.
I had been struggling with contact lately. When I looked at my swings I noticed I was very much bent over the ball. In order to get in a proper position I feel like I am squatting and reaching over to the ball. I am much more upright and in correct position with this feeling.
Hi Shaun. Start with the set up. It could be a number of things. It may be your back swing pivot or it could be due to the swing plan. on the down swing
This was helpful, it turns out I was standing too close to the ball and trying to adjust mid-swing to pull upwards so I didn’t hit it fat. Now that I have my ball the correct distance away, my swing is still trying to compensate and pull up before impact and I’m hitting it thin every time. What can I do to correct this behavior? Thanks!
There could be something else going on in the set up or back swing Law. It could be face, it could be pivot motion or arm sync. If you haven't yet, check out Pure Your Irons Blueprint we have just launched on our website and app. It takes you through 5 simple steps to get you hitting it great!
Piers ,Andy not sure if your aware of this but several videos where you use the balance trainer and pop up a link to products the balance trainer is not on your shop page.
I am a shorter golfer and I struggle with leaving the face slightly open and pushing the ball right. And then when I do finally get the club face closed I'm overcorrecting and pulling the ball left. Any thoughts?
I'm struggling with the face being too open. Never had that problem before. I am open on take away and downswing. Basically at impact the hossel is hitting the ball. I have tried a grip change and same problem
New to golf but I have hit a lot of balls and my slice seems impossible to fix I work on my wrist I feel like my swing is ok but slice slice irons or driver what am I over complicating can’t be the only one!
For me it's not only that I am tall at 6'4, it's that my legs are too long. It means the shorter clubs like high wedges are very uncomfortable for me as I'm top heavy
Great video. I still struggle with a horrible ugly downswing which leads to such bad inconsistencies 😭. I feel like if I could get the downswing right it would change my game dramatically.
If I see one more UK golf coach video saying “WHAT NO ONE TELLS YOU/TALKS ABOUT”, then I guess I will have heard it all. I think there’s just one dude in the UK who produces all the vids, titles and thumbnails for all these channels
Everything in this video, I HAVE BEEN TOLD. I have been told I have ‘S’ posture and hips too far behind ankles. I struggle to fix it. 😭 There’s no moving parts in setup. It should be easy to fix but it’s not!
Please address "casting the club!" Even when I feel like I am doing it correctly, I look at the video and it is horrible. Or I try to hold the angle and end up shanking it!!

Great video, should we have our back of triceps between knee and toe for all clubs? I feel over extended for 60 to 8 iron
Tips on how to set the wrists at the top of the backswing...and how to maintain it in downswing.

Glad this was useful Cord. Such a key part of golf!!
Is this the same for driver for how far I should stand away?
Thanks for this guys! I wish I had seen it before this morning's session :)
Pleasure Amit. Hope this helps next time you go out.

Great video and a subject not many coaches talk about a lot
Thanks John. Such a key part too!
Love your videos guys…my main issue is weight transfer and bottoming out the club. Any drills I can do to help with that?
Hi guys, I sometimes lose balance after release and my feet move, Is there is a tip for that? thanks
Hi Shaun. Start with the set up. It could be a number of things. It may be your back swing pivot or it could be due to the swing plan. on the down swing
Does this setup just apply to irons or does it apply to the driver too?

Hi Steve. Yes, the balance trainer we use is a prototype and we love it! It isn't out as of yet but we are working at it. 👍🏻
@@meandmygolf. awesome thanks i will be getting one as soon as there available
I will second this as I just went to the website to purchase....

I find my biggest issue is body sway in the backswing which results in inconsistent ball strike 👍🏻🇦🇺
Focus on rotation and monitor it when practicing Grant

Hi Jeffrey. Focus on the first part of the back swing. Keep it simple and get the face parallel to the spine at waist height.
My driver shots always go way to the right and I either top my iron shots or hit them really fat and no real distance
New to golf but I have hit a lot of balls and my slice seems impossible to fix I work on my wrist I feel like my swing is ok but slice slice irons or driver what am I over complicating can’t be the only one!
Check out our "Fix Your Slice" Coaching System in our app Scooter. So simple to work through and covers everything you need to know.

often the downs swing is a result of what's happened earlier DKH. Don't work at the down swing if the root cause hasn't been fixed.
Pull - High draw 😳

Very fair point Stan👍🏻
@@meandmygolf. even so, great lesson!

The key thing is feedback when doing it. Either video or mirror work. If you have this then it's much easier to manage.
I think a lot of us still struggle with the takeaway.
Totally agree. Video coming soon on that👍🏻
Struggling with shanks

Ok Edward. Thanks for the recommendation! Will definitely do something on that soon.
does not matter
My posture looks like an S no matter what because I have so much junk in the trunk
OMG! You guys aren’t wearing matching outfits! 😮
I hate golf. All these thoughts JUST to address the ball correctly 😖
It's just about creating good habits when in practice so you don't have to think about it. Much easier to manage that way Charles.
Golf is hard man😂
@@DjDanHolloway It's insane and we're insane for loving it so much hahaha!! 🤣
