    Great video!!! This is exactly what I needed. I’m excited to get my a frame soon! I was wondering if you could do a video with ideas on how to use/train on your rig? Thank you in advance!!!

    Once again thank you for this video! I'm about to order my first hoop. I can not use it at home, but I can use it at my studio. Because of COVID our hoops are all untaped at the moment and even though I got used to it (started with the untaped ones), top bar stuff is pretty scary. Especially hooking your legs on with leggings they tend to slide off to the side.
    But having my own hoop I can bring in for practice I can very well tape it, so this is very helpful! :)

      I know what you mean! When I have used untaped hoops I try to wear shorts because the skin contact help me slide less... But I definitely prefer taped! 😊

    I'm looking into purchasing an A Frame as well as my first Lyra & have been researching all week.
    I was wondering 2 things however...
    1. So this A Frame is adjustable in height, correct? How secure is it if you don't have it at it's highest?
    2. Do you hit you legs, arms, head on the legs of the A Frame if you spin or so moves in the A Frame? It doesn't look like you have much space 😵‍💫

    Hi! Do you have any recommendations for brands of your materials? I’m looking for the straps specifically because I can’t find the nylon straps you mention online but a list of what materials you recommend from what brands would make me feel so much more confident in what products I buy to begin training again since it’s been a few years and I never owned one myself I just went to studios. Thank you so much if you see this and can respond!

    Where can one buy a padded nylon straps please? Also i have used the same tape and it sheds sooo much glue on my hands when practicing. Is there any way to stop the glue from coming out of tape? Thank you!

    • @cchapman1896
      @cchapman1896  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can get the straps from almost any aerial equipment website, mine are from firetoys.com For the tape - it does get really sticky after you first apply it but over time it will get much better

    • @raypierce5818

      The reason for the “stickiness” is that most athletic training tape is made to go on the skin so it has Zinc Oxide impregnated in it for topical protection. I typically used J&J ZONAS which doesn’t have the same compound in it. This will prevent the frequent goo that sometimes comes out of other tapes.

    Are there any other nylon straps?

    • @cchapman1896
      @cchapman1896  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Most people use cotton straps actually, you can buy them from most aerial equipment websites or shops

    Hi Cara, According to Xpole product specs at the lowest 8-ft high setting the floor floor footprint would be 6ft 10in square--is that about right? How tall are you? Would I be squished? I am 5 ft 9. I am not looking to perform--mostly fluidity, conditioning, rolls, basic moves and practicing your tutorials. Would you have any thoughts on the Uplift rig for comparison? Thanks looking forward to your rig review 😊

      @cchapman1896  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! I actually shot a video about using my rig yesterday! I'm hoping to have it edited and on my channel Saturday :) I'm 5'10'', it is a little limiting space-wise but I can stills do lots and lots of things. I've ordered the extender bar for it as well (hopefully it will arrive soon) which I would definitely recommend for us tall people

    • @JH-zr8lo
      @JH-zr8lo 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@cchapman1896 OMG, I figured when you said you were tall, my guess-- maybe 5' 5"ish, as most all the aerial specialists at B&P are around 5'2" like gymnasts.When I struggled with moves I realized I have had to adjust my limb placements because it didn't translate seeing it demo on much smaller bodies. U perform all ur beautiful choreos on the Xpole with minimal adjustments & spinning fast! I'm happy to see that height is not a disadvantage for hoop. Looking forward to your review, hope u can include your thoughts on the extender as well!! 💘

    how tall is your rig in this video?

    • @cchapman1896
      @cchapman1896  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's about 2.7 meters in this video but it can go a little higher to I think about 3.5 meters
