One thing I’d love is if you went over how advanced the move is, and if there are any prerequisites for the move to do it safely. I have an extensive dance background, but am fairly new to aerial arts. I have progressed quickly, but of course struggle with advanced move. Sometimes I don’t know which moves are more beginner, intermediate or advanced. Some moves that look simple are actually very advanced, and some moves that look advanced are actually super simple. Id love an indication of how difficult/advanced/dangerous a move is before I try it. You make everything look so easy, so sometimes it’s hard to gauge if this trick is meant for an advanced student or if it can be attempted by an intermediate student!
Thanks Cara, I love your videos. My only concern in learning this without pressing your back against the bar when you invert makes it dicey (you just have the shoulder pressed on bar). I fell out trying it your way (vs the other tutorial videos I watched). I was close to ground so I was ok but just thought that was worth mentioning to start out doing the pose with back firmly pressed into bar whole time and then maybe trying it with only shoulder. Thanks for the variations, I’ll work up to them one day!
Can you do a video with some exercises on how to improve the arch/ pointed toes? It makes A LOT of difference and i have been struggling to try to get prettier form but i feel like i'm just not flexible enough... By the way i just started following you and you're so amazing! I just purchased my first aerial hoop and your videos are helping me so much with adding new and creative stuff to my routines! Thank you!
Hi Cara, could you a video on the subject of pulling a muscle in Aerial Hoop/Lyra and then needing an Osteopath Treatment, Massage Treatment, Chiropractor Treatment, Physiotherapy Treatment to fix it.
You mustve read my mind. I started working on this move yesterday and was trying to think of different ways to come out of it other than a split to Wine glass
I agree! It's pretty fun :) you can take both hands off you just need to be super secure in your shoulder and your foot - I would definitely try that over a good mat to begin with
It absolutely can be! To make it secure with both hands off, your bum makes contact with the hoop instead of that top arm, as you push against the hoop you're in a very safe upside down man in the moon - that's how we are taught at my studio! Strong agree with Cara about only trying this with a crash mat though.
Exactly what I was looking for! Some pretty shapes to transition out.
Your videos are amazing I am so grateful!

Ohh, I love that upside down, forced split position you discovered! I’ve never seen that before 🔥
Thanks! I was pretty happy with it :)
gorgeous!! I had so much fun with this one
That's great, it's a fun one 😁
That second last variation looks scary 🙈 I will definitely try it though!! Thanks ☺️
It's not too scary, give it a try!

Hahaha I'm psychic! Glad you like it :)
One of my favourite moves. Am I right in thinking it can be a hands off in the pose too? I loved your tips for perfecting it.
