    Quote from New Life newsletter:
    Learning to Listen
Like an earring of gold and an ornament of fine gold is a wise reprover to an ear that listens and learns. Proverbs 25:12
You can learn a lot from listening. Unfortunately, very few people actually do it. When the other person is talking, most of us are so busy trying to think of what we will say next that we don’t fully appreciate what is being said. Conversation is not a contest. It is an exchange. When you fail to listen well, you shortchange yourself. The next time you listen to someone else, try really listening. Seek to understand their point of view, even if you don’t agree with it. There is always something you can learn. When you truly listen, you won’t have to worry about what you say next. Whatever you say will pale in comparison to the positive impression you make from listening attentively. Listen and learn. Listen with respect. Listen, and gain the relationship and respect of others. Listening is easy if you will just decide to do it. Add power and effectiveness to your communication -- listen, really listen.
Father in heaven, forgive us and help us when we are tempted to focus on what we want to say next; instead of listening. Help us not to be partial listeners but instead to stop and really listen. In Jesus name, AMEN!
God gave us 2 ears and only 1 mouth.

    Quote from New Life newsletter:
    Selective Sequence
But all things must be done appropriately and in an orderly manner.
    1 Corinthians 14:40
You know what you need to do, but you never seem to get it all done. Perhaps it’s because you’re not putting things in sequence. Just having a list of things to do is not enough. You must also decide in what order you will get everything done. Something must be done first, and then something else after that, and so on. Without a specific sequence, it is too easy to put things off until “later." How do you determine the sequence? Certainly you want to make sure the most important tasks are near the top of the list. Many people also find it helpful to do the least desirable things at the beginning of the day. And of course your appointments and commitments to others will also determine your schedule. Beyond that, even an arbitrary sequence is much more effective than no sequence at all. Sequencing your tasks strengthens your commitment to getting them done. Success comes from taking one step at a time. The more clearly and specifically you can lay those steps out in front of you, the more you’ll get accomplished.
Father in heaven, help us to take the time to do things in the right order. Much like we can’t drive our cars until we unlock and start it, we can’t be effective in life if we do things in the wrong order. Help us to plan our day and the way we get things done, and to do them well. In Jesus name, AMEN!
Order and simplification are the first steps to the mastery of a subject.

In a perfect world or on the perfect day one might complete all their necessary tasks for that day but in our most ungodly and ungrateful world I believe that everyone who’s trying to raise their children and earn their living’s and also trying to help other members of their community can’t possibly have enough hours in the day. In the modern capitalist system of our society in most modern families both parents are forced to work a job or earn some of those greenbacks simply to try and stay afloat… today’s folks surly don’t behave and think like those American forefathers or even our grandparents who were the American’s of the 1920’s and the 1950’s… the cost of living today as it stands based solely upon the amount of money one actually keeps out of what they earn based on property taxes school taxes property taxes health insurance cost the cost of food every week from the grocery stores our housing cost that car payment and insurance and maintenance etc. etc. etc. it a much larger percentage in this bloated modern society our political system and our political leadership has been running completely off the rails for several decades now. If you would have asked an American in any other generation if the government thought that it would be a fantastic idea to send every single citizen in the country a stimulus check… that $1400 dollar’s worth of “free money?” They simply would have have laughed out loud and probably walked away because they would have quickly realized that they were trying to have a conversation with a crazy person! Today a large percentage of the population thought that they should probably go ahead and do that again… the concept of a budget is really almost a joke… do you realize that if you don’t use your entire budget if a fiscal year that you will be given a smaller amount of capital in your budget that following year…??? The average working class American citizen is not only being asked to carry all of those government workers and those people who can’t work on their back but also your responsibility to carry the entire world police force as the world’s military force as well…. Trade relationships with the rest of the world and having allowed the outsourcing of America… and the dismantling of our US Manufacturing base is going to be a very quickly moving freight train crashing into the station situation within my lifetime… I’m 53. If you’re not living right and down with Jesus then to all those who aren’t all I can say is the end of days as is written in Revelations rings never more clearer and truer than it does today. Just totally amazing me the complete disrespect and absolute lack of respect and Total disregard for others feelings and the absolutely uncouth and complete lack of etiquette that people feel they somehow have the right to actually write or share back by leaving a negative or rude comment for someone who’s trying to share a little knowledge or share their positive thoughts and messages and make a video on TH-cam. What ever happened to if you don’t have something nice to say then you should say nothing at all? The World today needs one day with my dearly departed Grandma and her wooden spoon and her bar of Irish Spring! She was definitely all about her Bible and her 45! Brother BellHopper… you can only do your best buddy and those of us who are really interested in building chainsaw’s can learn tips and tricks by just watching you work… every time I am gifted by a video I’m extremely grateful to have the opportunity to be sitting on the stool next to your bench and watching you work… I can’t imagine a bad video as I’m just so grateful that you even take the time to share what you do with us! You need to make you a lighter weight three legged tripod that you can drag over to the woods there and hang you a chainfall… or pick a big tree in your center or something maybe and hang your chainfall so you can lift your logs up waist high so your not needing to cut on the ground? My buddy just got two of those three wheel pallet fork truck’s with the little 10hp? Briggs… that you usta walk behind but they have the forks to lift up and care your pallet… a flat 2’ square 1/2” plate foot with a scissor action with a little hydraulic Ram or a screw deal you could spin with a 1/2” impact gun to lift your log end’s up onto a set of cross braces you could kick underneath your wood there so it’s up at waist high is just huge… I’ve been working this past year or so with my older buddy who has the grapple bucket on the front of the little 4x kobota beast of a little tractor and being the bring your big saw’s and cut up the big wood and being able to blast up wood up at waist height is just a beautiful thing… I had started running a Shindawia multi with three different length shaft’s with 12-14” .043 bar’s so I had a 5’ long unit with that 14” bar with the 4’ of reach so I could process or limb a tree almost by walking up just one side and I didn’t ever bend down anymore… so everything under 10 inches was blasted into 16’s then the hyper 371 with the 28” skipper Sugi chucked up everything else…. I was watching a video of some old boys pulling an old tractor apart to swap over an engine and I watched a 65 year old man clip his third 18’ pole into his chain loop at the top and walk his other two poles up with his eye in the center and lift that 1/2 a ton or more….right slick with his chain hoist and I when outside and built my own right then… a two ton chain hoist became my best friend! 😂😂😂. Then I just started tossing my throw bags into a decent crotch and then pulling it up with a little length of 3/4” bullrope and I could sling a decent log with a little 6’ double eye sling and then pop it up enough to pop a hunk under it…. And then I’m able to cut it up… after catching the tree with my head and shoulder and getting driven like a nail in 09’ I don’t do that bend down and tie your shoes move more than a couple times and the hands and feet are starting to get them lightening bolts and going numb… so I’ve just absolutely got to take the step to get my pieces up off the ground to be able to cut them up…. I had that manual ford 150 with the 300 5 speed with the pto plate and I had a little hydraulic pump and I made a couple of 2” attachments for the hitch of my pickup… auger for fence post and starting tree and plant holes and a bumper hoist so I could attach the leg with the foot and then lift and swing anything that I wanted to put into it’s bed… the little leg section takes all the weight of those rear suspension so it’s very much able to do it with a golf cart or like your buggy… it’s just carrying the pieces and it’s suspension is totally eliminated from the lift as soon as that leg is dropped and locked… could probably just add a little leg section to one of those harbor freight truck bed swinging hoist and weld it on the buggie bumper… it’s fantastic to get the ends up on something so you ain’t bent down…. That’s just something that I just ain’t got the ability to do anymore or I can’t walk the next day… I know that you have done the same job on your back and knees that I’ve done… you need to fab up a little jack arm to pick your log ends and drop them on an 18” tall something so you don’t need to have to tie your shoestring’s to make your cuts…. Probably sell a 1000 of them to us older fella’s!! 😂😂😂👍👍

    Quote from New Life newsletter:
    Responsible
For every person will have to bear [with patience] his own burden [of faults and shortcomings for which he alone is responsible]. Galatians 6:5
Those things for which you are responsible are the things that will propel your life forward. When you take responsibility for your work, that work will bring success. Take responsibility for your character, and you’ll be looked upon as a leader. Take responsibility for your finances, and you will become wealthy. Take responsibility for your thoughts, and they will lead you to greatness. Be responsible for your actions, and dreams become reality. Responsibility is yours the moment you decide to embrace it. Is it fair that you should be responsible when others avoid responsibility? No, it is not always fair, nor is it always easy. Yet responsibility is essential. How much responsibility can you handle? That is precisely how successful you will be.
Father in heaven, today we are learning to be responsible with what You have blessed us with. We ask for Your help to be good stewards, being responsible and not burying things in the proverbial sand. In Jesus name, AMEN!
When we blame others, we give away our power. When we take responsibility we take back our power to transform our lives.
