I started with a 3220 , I think the # are right Pioneer . I had a guy eat some skunk cabbage & it's a good laxative ! The Bears eat it in the spring to clean the system out ! A little kindness story, this is what happened to me today, as you no I m a farrier, a client told me she haven't enough money for all the horses ( the first owner was past away for a few weeks, now she stand alone in it) I look to the horse who was left and his hoofs are really bad, so I said : no worry, I do this one for free! She was throughly happy, smiling from ear to ear , now the unexpected happend, a friend of her drops by and hat a small talk with my client, here is what happened in the story of kindness..... The friend says :, it's very kind of you mister, but you're doing good work, the horses and my friend are happy,, but you have to eat too, so I pay you!! And here is a tip of extra money, because you're so kind for my friend. ...now we are all happy!......isn't that amazing. ... I hope this story inspire you to be kind, you never know what happens! ( it's not about the money, I even refused, it first, but she (the friend ) stands on it! So I take it.) Guys, I love this channel!

I'm surprised you're not more of a Pioneer fan. They made great saws I think. Don't see too many down here but I do have an old farmsaw aka p41 and she cuts!

My old Pro Mac 60 is sitting idle in the shop. Hasn't run for years. But seeing you with one has motivated me to dust it off and use it again. Loved this saw back in the '70's. Still do.
I chuckle with u not at u OK OK OK sometimes I chuckle at u but usually that when ur Cletus or something I was having a hard time seeing the Mac's over nick's Huski suspenders. Have a good week boys and that goes for the rest of Army 2. Be careful Kindness is contagious!

Thanks for clarifying that for those that have been having issues. The working corner and proper hook are much more important than the gullet. I get the gullet after I get the corner and top plate hook. Yes it takes a little longer than doing it in one process, but I personally find it more effective than doing the boat.✌

After watching Buckin' and Blaise do milling on those large trees, I am trying to figure out how to beg or borrow an Alaskan mill. I've got a HUGE Maple base at the house where I grew up. If I can't mill it I'll be buckin' it into firewood. That would be a shame though, it's 3 trees grown together, I bet the slabs would be aMAZing

Nope, just told Jazmine to put her face in her pillow in case it sprayed as it's butt was at that moment facing her. I use the flashlight to coakes it out of the tent like it was a cat. That amused her more than the time she thought there was a bear outside the tent and it turned out to be a raccoon trying to drag my pack into the bush.

What pioneers do you run? That's my dad 51 he bought brand new, I have a couple p41s a p28 and a 1074, he's got a 1074 the p51 and a model 600, ass run and cut, the 600 was given to him by and old family friend he cut wood for in the 70s all the time, Linda cool
Nick Hanna I run a 1120 p41 and p42 my go to saw is my husky 371 but those old pioneers are a lot of fun
The 1120 was given to my father by a old family friend as well after he cut a tree out of his yard for him

Those old saws have an unmistakable tone to em ... only problem with em imho is they lack the AV of the modern saws and will vibrate the fillings out of your teeth ! Hey Buckin ... where’s the hot-rod 372xp ? I’d be runnin the snot out of that beauty WAY before a Mac !!!

Listen on the sharpening I think people might be not getting how Buckin gets it because there using too small a file, the guys who come out of collage to me say I'm using a file too big. There taught that way.
Blaise Brogan ... Isaacs Popop here. Bare with me here is that sarcasm, or do ppl study Bucking, Arborist mabe. And learn a trade that includes sharpening. Steve's Small Engine has great video posted. I really enjoyed his example. Peace and Love
STIHL and Pferd make a 2 in 1 filing guide that works nicely ... it sharpens the cutters whilst simultaneously lowering the rakers or stops as some refer to them ... ya can’t beat a machine ground chain imho but in the field the 2 in 1 does a nice job of restoring the edge and depth gages with a few light strokes ... just remember to clean / rotate / replace the files for best performance!

I know you get hundreds of messages Buckin so, anyone who might be able to help, I’d appreciate it. I picked up a Pro Mac60 IDENTICAL to the one Buckin is using! It’s got zero compression and I want to rebuild it...my dad and I ran the same saw for hundreds of cord of firewood in the 70’s....but finding parts is proving a challenge. I want to get this old gem running in my dads memory. Any suggestions would be helpful. I’ve got no manual or idea where to get parts or from whom. Thanks Buckin and friends....can’t wait to hear that old Mac making wood chips again!!

I know you get a lot of messages Billy so I’m just gonna throw this in and pray you might see it and have time. I have that same saw, found it at a yard sale for 20 bucks. As a teenager in the 70’s, that was also the exact saw my dad ran exclusively! He loved her...I hated her!!😁 Any way, when I saw it at the yard sale I would have paid any price, cause it took me back and kinda gave me a little of my dad back. Here’s the trouble friend...ZERO COMPRESSION! I mean I can pull the recoil rope full out with the saw sittin on the ground, and she don’t move one centimeter! Zero! But I bought it anyway! So Billy, where can I get a manual and parts for those old Macs? I wanna get her running again!! My and my dad, can cut some more wood...well, in my heart he’ll be with me!😇

He is saying: Get the gullet (the valley) is only half the sharpening process .... Work that valley and move up to the apex of the cliff (Cutting corner) .... you know the corner everyone seems to only focus on. START LOW & THEN GO HIGH folks. Don't forget to check the depth gauge (raker) .... it must be lower than the cutting corner (abt. .030"). Have fun .... now I go juggle my chainsaws. Always kind; often misread.

Charlie Taylor, Is that old Mac got anti vibration billy, I still get a bit white finger from the old saws of the seventies with no anti vibration on really cold damp days, I Remember working a partner with heated handles that worked of the muffler, but it would burn your hands , could never get the setting right, aaah those were the days, NOT. Be kind.
