I loved these two but had the same experience when the clag just would not dissipate. I eat very little on the hills and afterwards simply due to tiredness. Anyway thanks for sharing a very convivial experience. Best wishes Murdo

Well, Callum , my food of choice after a hike is a can of beef stew and biscuits with lots of butter. and a big cup of nice strong coffee.

A pub in Yorkshire, after a long walk over the moors - 12km or so. Into the pub, and they asked Do you want some food?
Yes. There was no menu. You got pie and mushy peas.
That rang the bells perfectly.
