Replaced the drain pump. Couldn't figure out why it wouldn't stop sensing when I was trying it out for a test run. Manual test (as you described) indicated that I'm a dumb ass and forgot to turn the water valves back on 🤣🤦 Took me longer to figure that out than replacing the pump. Works like it should again. Thanks very much!
Not necessarily, it could mean that the PCB is broken. You would start by replacing the lock and if that doesn't fix the issue then you put the old lock back and replace the PCB.

My whirlpool cabrio just like this machine will not spin out and lid lock goes out. Put new lid lock an didn't make a difference any ideas ??
