@@WarGamerGirl I'd rather you went back to Warmachine :( Space Hulk looks awesome but gameplay feels incredibly boring. Hardly any interesting decisions to be made throughout the entire game (the Tyranid player just pushes models forward like AI does in modern cooperative board games) and everything is decided by dice rolls, with very little impact from you, the players.
"Craving" sounds wild, I'm looking forward to it! 👍👍

I love these battle reports. They are shot well and paced well, with time for human interaction between you and your opponent, too.
Wow 4 years after the previous episode. I guess better late than never. That was intense and fun. I hope the next episode is not in 4 more years. The Emperor protects.
One suggestion: it often appears that the players are not consistently taking advantage of the ability to move diagonally. When at a T-intersection, instead of moving straight ahead into the intersecting corridor and then turning to face down the corridor, it is better to move diagonally forward into the intersecting corridor and turning. This essentially saves one AP (thus, allowing it to move 1 space further along the corridor). This is a powerful tactic that can make all the difference. Example: 5:39 the gene stealer blip could have moved diagonally around the corner for the total cost of 1 AP instead of spending 2 AP (as the gene stealer player did by moving directly forward into the intersection and then spending another 1 AP to move one space down the corridor). 5:41 this should have been done again to move diagonally, which would have allowed the gene stealer blip to advance 1 space further down the corridor instead of moving forward into the intersection and stopping. Another tip: when the Space Marine player moves (or changes facing), it can take a free fire action. This can be used to target gene stealers or doors (so when a marine moves towards a door or turns to face it, the marine can fire at the door for free in the hopes of destroying it, thus saving 1 AP that would be needed to open the door). Example: 2:27 the marine could take a free fire action at the door when he moved forward.
Yeah, the rules weren't completely clear on this when we read them, so we erred on the side of caution to make sure the space marines weren't getting an advantage. We've gotten a lot of comments letting us know better. Thanks for watching!

I wish you had more space hulk videos. Your space hulk battle reports have some of the best production values and actually got me into the game (in restored a copy of the 2009 version using a 3d printer)

This is awesome. Thanks! Little tip: You can move 'and see/shoot' in diagonals (the 3 squares immediately in front of your square (touching your square), and then the 5 next as long as they are in line of sight - 'corner-tips' don't block line of sight). The comments are gold: "i'm gonna eat your face". I like jam with my marines. perfect.

Great fun! Have not played SH for a couple of decades (yikes...), and watching you throwing bolt rounds into 'stealers and getting sliced and diced in return was a great trip into gaming nostalgia. The smack-talk between turns adds a lot to the flavour. Thank you!
This mission usually turns the tables. The genestealers are the ones on the offensive here. Even without this astounding overwatch precision, it can be easier on the terminators to stay and hold once they have rushed into good positions.

Amazing battle report Miranda! Those imaginary jams were killers. I used to do something similar where I would forget that I could use command points to clear jams IN over watch. Because I forgot that, whenever a terminator jammed it was basically instant death and a free one for the nids to charge.
Totally thought the Marines were going to be wiped out! Great job assault cannon guy.

Color, clarity, pacing, detail, and audio are excellent. I found this 3rd mission report to be the best of the three so far because of the inclusion of short, focused discussion between turning points in events. Thanks for the hard work~

5:30 and later: 2 times the genestealer blips spend 2 points mocing around a corner when just one is needed (moving diagonally, blips have no alignment)

So fun! Bjorn and I watched. It’s good to see you guys playing again. I also enjoyed the music, I can’t tell if you’ve used all of it before or it’s been just long enough for it to sound new. As for the rules, I’m not familiar with the game outside of what I’ve seen you guys play before. Other than the imaginary jam, the game flowed well.
There,s rules for play Imperial Guard (Astra Militarum) in Space Hulk with 3 own missions or the standard missions in the "Citadel Journal 25". A video about that would be cool!

This Battle report was really well made, very good stuff. I never played this edition of space hulk, it looks very strange. I've never seen so many 6s rolled on shooting.

Probably not if you're trying to learn 40k. The ruleset is very different here. I guess the models could port over if you put them on the appropriate base, but that would be a lot of trouble. The 2 player box sets are much better for getting started in 40k or any of the Start Collecting boxes. They might even be cheaper than Space Hulk.
@@WarGamerGirl Hey thanks for the response. I will look into that. I love the lore of 40k, sometimes I will spend hours on the wiki just reading stories, It is all so fascinating. I guess I have gotten to the point that I need to delve in to the game itself. I have a buddy I work with that frequently has gatherings on the weekends and plays 40k and magic and he always tries to get me to play, I might have to do that.
It has been awhile, but thought this mission had unlimited genestealers you just reshuffle the blip counters. Also cannot genestealers move diagonally.
All miniatures (genestealers and space marines) can move forward diagonally for 1 AP.
do the dice not add up? cause you'd say need 6 and get 5 on one so like anything on the other should be six but called it a miss.
In Space Hulk the dice results are not cumulative. Each die has to meet a 6 to count as a hit (sustained fire can be 5 or 6). Thank you for watching =)
Silly question, if overwatch mean you can shoot at any number of foes entering range just move up and overwatch each turn. I guess you cant use AP to get extra shots on over watch though... maybe? Overwatch just seems a bit OP is all.

The Imperiums elite, and they can't hit a door 6ft in front of them.
Oh, they can hit it alright. The question is can they explode the specific key locations in the door that unhinge it or make it possible to cross the doorstep. Not all doors have exactly the same mechanisms (as seen on door tile-illustrations) Sometimes, a shot will melt or twist the metal, but without making it possible to cross the doorstep. It comes down to skill and luck which is (thankfully) approximated by a dice roll. There. happy?

In all versions of Space Hulk, Terminators have been able to move diagonally both forwards (1AP) and backwards (2AP). Saying that, there are certain scenarios that stop both Terminators and Genestealers from moving diagonally.
