    You are a great reviewer, I really appreciate younger people like you who "feels" the music liked we did at the time. Tom is a legend as you know by now, so many great performances. May I suggest "Treat her right " , the performance will surprise you how great and funny he can be. You will love it, Tom has it all for sure 👍

    The fact that you have "never heard of" Tom Jones means there aren't enough older people in your life. We old people grew up on truly great music. Find some old folks and ask them what to listen to. You'll be amazed.

    Listen to him still sing this at 80 years old. Exactly the same with no loss of power. Incredible. This was written for him by Donnie Lonegan. Tom Jones is a judge on The Voice UK. Donnie's son came in to audition. Tom turned for him, found out who he was and they did this duet together. You must watch that.

    • @peterd8525
      @peterd8525 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      No Janey, Lonnie wrote it for himself in 1962, issued it and It flopped cos it wasn't skiffle. Tom came to it 5 years later. Yes I know what was said on The Voice but Tom misremembered the actuality.

    If you've watched The Fresh Prince Of Belair, Carlton is always dancing to Tom's song It's Not Unusual, and he also made a guest appearance on the show! Check out Tom and Janis Joplin singing Raise Your Hand. Tom had a variety show back then and sang with all the greats...and talk about moves!!! The ladies panties would fly on stage when he performed. He was a judge on The Voice UK I think, and did a little bit of Its Not Unusual at 82 yrs young...still got the voice!!👏🎶🎶

    No he never had his heart broke, he's just a brilliant performer, married at 16 to the same woman all her life, he's now 80 and she died a few years back. Try 'Till' and 'Thunderball' by him too.

    Again I found another great reaction to this song. I love the fact that you guys (men) are not afraid to express how you feel about Tom's voice. Men in my day would never express themselves the way that you guys do. I'm a little older than your mother and I heard Tom for the first time when I was about nine years old and as a kid, I knew that it was something special about his voice. My parents always played all kinds of music in our home so I was very familiar with the older artist.

    Yes you are worthy of hearing one of the greatest voices to hit the world stage. Sir Tom Jones would be extremely honored by your reaction too. Now if you listen/ react to his song "Delilah" you'll understand why he doesn't EVER want to fall in love again! Lol Other Jones classics are "It's Not Unusual", "She's A Lady", and power ballads "I Believe", "Green Green Grass of Home". In the 80s he did a cool cover version of Prince's song "Kiss" w the purple one's seal of approval, of course.

    I'm Glad to see you're able to appreciate greatness. Tom Jones had a powerful voice with at tremendous range, from soft sexy to way high where Michael Jackson would sing. He definitely "OWNs" the song, I see other singers have sung it, including Elvis, but nothing like the way Tom Jones sung it. In his private love life, he was the one giving the hurt, with what it seems many love affairs; you'd think, by the way he sings the song, he's the one that got the hurt. He's singing is truly "amazing"

    This song was written by the late great Lonnie Donnegan - the King of Skiffle. He started the rock and roll movement in the UK. Many of the greatest British bands came out of the skiffle era, including The Beatles. If you want to delve into Lonnie Donnegan I would suggest Cumberland Gap or Rock Island line.

    Jay and Amber, my mom like Tom Jones and she’s 82 years old but she says if you really want to appreciate you got to give a listen to Neil Diamond and his song “America” also known as “Coming to America”, that’s my Mom’s Favorite
    I liked Tom Jones singing with EMF on their hit “It’s unbelievable” Mom says don’t forget Engelbert Humperdinck, that’s his stage name, another throwback singer from the Tom Jones era.

    You might be too young to know him but I’m old lol. Knighted by the Queen of England. Sir Tom Jones. One of the greatest voices of all time with a string of great hits. I’m glad you get a chance to listen to great music. Thank you
    If you get a chance can you react to the Righteous Brothers with songs like Soul and Inspiration, Unchained Melody with Bobby Hatfield doing the solo on that one. From what I hear from some of the other reactors has gone viral. Also You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling which was the most played song of the 20th Century. New subscriber and thank you again
