• Led Zeppelin - Whole L... - บันเทิง
I'm 66. I met Robert Plant last year. I tried to be cool, but my inner 14 year-old was losing her mind. Please go down the rabbit hole of Zeppelin music. You will be blown away.
Lucky girl! How amazing! 🥰
that's amazing! congratulations, you are fortunate
Wow! That must have been awesome. Im 66 too, and have always been a fan of LZ.
LOL. All of similar ages, checkin' in! 😁 I be just one of many 65-year-old Canucks who've always highly esteemed, and still do, Led Zeppelin! ✌️🤗
Wow! You are so lucky! I love Robert Plant
The Mighty Zeppelin - greatest rock band of all time
It's really hard to argue that.
Concur, but the Mighty label is Van Halen's. :)
How could they not be with a front man with a voice like Robert Plant, the best drummer there ever was in John Bonham, the one of the most influential guitarist and guitar virtuoso in Jimmy Page, and one the grwatest bass players of all time in John Paul Jones. Can't beat that combination.
That label belongs the The Rolling Stones.
@Coolrockndad
Only The Rolling Stones called THEMSELVES that in marketing spin. The public knew otherwise. When both were around at the same time, Zeppelin were bigger and more important.
I’m 70 and have been listening to Led Zeppelin from the beginning❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Same here. Still have all my Led Zeppelin vinyl.
I'm jealous... I'm 53 and didn't know who Zeppelin was until 1982 when I was 11...
Been my favorite band ever since...
only wish I could have seen them live in person...saw Plant 4x and Page 2x, and Plant/Page together in '97 was "almost" a Zeppelin concert and the best concert I ever witnessed!
@@Shaun-ed4fz I never got to see them😭
@@leannmiller7153 😭
Just listened to LZ 1, it's still great!!
"No wonder my mom had five babies." LOL Great comments.
"back door man" was an old blue line that referred to the guy who was going out the back door as the husband is coming home in the front. th-cam.com/video/we3xngKRozE/w-d-xo.html
Exactly what I was gonna say!
That was one way to interpret it .. not the one I prefer, but whatever
@@jackw467 hahha exactly..i feel like that "old blues" explanation was one conjured up/used as a perfect "excuse" for being able to use it lol
@@bboyshotty no, it wasn't. 🤣🤣🤣 It was a phrase *disguised* as that as a euphemism that could be slipped into (no pun intended*) lyrics and conversation. But... jelly roll is a pastry. 💜
Back door man is also mentioned in an AC/DC song Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap 😂
Led Zeppelin: making women blush for 55 years😂😂😂 I still get chills and I’ve been listening since e 1969😅
I’m now 69 and in 1980 I found myself with a reel-to-reel of 7+ hours of Zeppelin! How cool that was!
I recorded on a reel to reel in 79. Last time I actually saw one.
Welcome to Led Zeppelin. The greatest rock band of all time.
Bonzo was arguably the greatest rock drummer ever.
No arguments. 😊
and the wild thing is, he had no self esteem, and thought he sucked and all the other Rock drummers at the time were better than him, Read " Hammer of the God's " Zeppelin Autobiography, great read...
Alex idolized him. Ed said VH was just trying to be or wanted to be Zep in the early days. The Trinity - LZ, AC/DC, VH.
People focus on Page and Plant (and well deserved), but it was the drumming that made Zeppelin, IMHO.
I agree bonham is among my top five favorites of all time
WHEN GIANTS WALKED THE EARTH 🌎
LED ZEPPELIN ❤🎉❤
Best description for the first time listener of Zeppelin. They were Giants.
Stay in the 70s please u cat go wrong ?
I find it adorable when younger people don’t realize that they’re puppies in comparison with previous generations.
Yes I agree. She should be reacting to Britney Spears’ music, Lady Gaga or Mariah Carey. Women can’t dance to Zeppelin’s tunes.
Not so much adorable as surprising… and possibly annoyingly one eyed.
@ricardoagila3115, do you realize how many babies were made to this song? Saying women can't dance to Zeppelin is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. 😂😂😂😂😂
@@TolkienGeek. it’s true. When femininity listens to music, they like to dance to the tune. Zeppelin is simply too heavy for them.
@ricardoagila3115 tell that to women in the 60's and 70's. They sure wete dancing to these tunes. And that's just a fact.
No auto tune all done live without any excuse, just real talent from real musicians not the rubbish you get these days, I am 70 the music I grew up with cannot be equalled by anything produced today
You got it man! spot on.
@@rorygilmoreNZOh, please. Led Zeppelin is a great band, but there’s plenty of good music being produced all the time. (I’m the same age as you). Unlike you, I appreciate the past, but I keep up with the present, too. Think, change, listen and be open to new experiences, or you’ll just be an old fossil griping about kids these days and telling the to get off your lawn.🤦♂️
Very rude response to someone you do not know. I listen to an extensive amount of music from all over the world, but only once in a while does exceptional talent appear all at once, the bands we had that started in the 60’s were explorers in music, the leaders, the experimentalists and the music was amazing
@@davidshort2313 Yes, but you have to realize that the music you grew up listening to was promoted back then to a widespread audience. The same cannot be said today. There is great music out there. It’s just not being exposed like music was back then. You have to be more active in searching it out nowadays.
@@macleadg I guess you like the idea of "sampling" and "Hip Hop"! And you approve of "Autotune" as well !
Led Zeppelin had an enormous range of styles. This is not a band about who you can say if you heard one you've heard them all. A case in point would be "Thank You" from the same album as "Whole Lotta Love". "Thank You" is a love song that will touch your heart the way "Whole Lotta Love" touches...other areas. Zeppelin did not write a bad song so start anywhere. Some good introductory songs to this phenomenal band are "Rock and Roll", "Stairway to Heaven" or "Good Times, Bad Times". Enjoy the journey. Loved your reaction btw. Your face said it all.
You forgot Immigrant song and Kashmir, lol
Word! 100%!❤
Back door man was British slang for a side guy who would go out the back door when her husband got home!❤😂

What is even more interesting than the provocative lyrics is that this was played on the radio. It was not censored. There was no "explicit lyrics" warning on the album.
The greatest rock band to ever walk the planet. Period.
IMO compared to Genesis with Hackett, not even close. Genesis made music that will be listened to 100 years from now. Zeppelin, not so much. The dude always yells.
@@leo50519 “The dude always yells”? No he doesn’t and imo the opposite of what you said is true. I think that most people can name more Zeppelin songs than songs by Genesis anyway. 😂

The Ladies always smile at the first glance of Robert.
And we know why...
You need to dive deep into the Zeppelin rabbit hole. I have loved them since I was 12 yrs old in the early 70"s. I am 62 now and still listen to them everyday.
63, me too😊
I am 53...been listening to my favorite band since 1982 when I was 11...
No group will ever compare
(Gretta Van Fleet did a good try)
63 on 8/1, I concur.
Another 62 year old here who agrees with you. Part of my musical journey growing up in the 70s. Feel so lucky to have been a teenager through those years
My twin😊
I'm 70 and I was a moderate fan of Led Zeppelin when I was in high school, but recently I've began to believe that they are the pinnacle of the entire pyramid of all rock artists of all time. At the very least they are the coolest act of all time.
Wisdom comes with age 👍🏼
What took you so long?
Back door man means the guy who's running out the back door while your man is walking through the front door. Not the other thing you're thinking lol
As John Lee Hooker said, "Out the door I went." (House Rent Boogie)
No thats not what it means it's exactly what she thinks.
Exactly, hence another Zepplin lyric, about a woman cheating, "I open my front door, hear my back door slam" from Since I've Been Loving You
🤣🤣🤣🫵
So what does "gonna give you every inch of my love" mean? (This ought to be good)😂😂😂
I'm your mom's age and LOVED your reaction to this! Yeah, Led Zepplin is still responsible for a lot of babies! :-D
Must do 'Since I been Lovin' You', live from Madison Square Garden, 1973.
The version from the Song Remains the Same concert movie soundtrack is the superior one, if you do just search MSG 1973 you do not get that one, but another, alternate live from the multi day stay, there is a good reason they picked the one they did for the movie.
ABSOLUTELY
One of the best performances of all time in any genre!!!
A deep dive into the mighty Zep's catalog (esp the live moments) is so well worth it...arguably the most accomplished & diverse heavy rock band OAT
I was 17 when this dropped, and it hit hard.
The best way to listen to Led Zeppelin is, to begin with track one of their first album and listen until you reach the last track of their final album. You won't find a bad song.
Yes you, will but many, many GREAT ONES! cheers
Pure genius talent. As Jimmy Page noted..."we were four lads at the top of our game." That's for sure!!!!!
No hype at all. The catalog speaks for itself. They were, are and WILL ALWAYS BE the ultimate rock band.
Amen
i'm 68 and still listen Led Zep-they hit like a Hammer
I’m 77 years old and I’ve been getting the Led out since their beginning.
For a 60+ yr old Norwegian its fun to see what an American see as provocative in 2024. We listened to this in the 70ies and my children listened to same songs in the late 90ies none of us lifted n eyebrow and found it other than fun 😎😈🇧🇻
Well... We are Europeans...
Not every American was shocked by this at all. In fact, I don’t know anyone who was, is or should be. If you’d been here at that time and in this country you’d know that so stop assuming some kind of enlightened superiority. It’s played. So played.
Led Zeppelin - Black Dog (Live at Madison Square Garden 1973) (Official Video)
The great Zeppelin. Still the best after all these years. Very diverse rabbit hole to jump into. Life changing.
You haven't lived until you've gone down the Led Zeppelin rabbit hole!!! It would be a shame as a music lover to leave this
world without experiencing this band! MUST LISTEN: Stairway to Heaven, Dazed and Confused, When the Levee Breaks, Black Dog, The Immigrant Song, Kashmir, The Rain Song. Just for starters! They are truly a groundbreaking group. Unparalleled talent!
You just listened to the greatest band EVER! You can’t go wrong with any of their songs. Believe it or not, this was only one of a few singles they released, & was played on the radio. Each of these genuses are the GOATS of their craft, & together they were GODS of MUSIC. Any live from Madison Square Gardens (1973), is excellent, especially Since I’ve Been Loving You. Try live at Earls Court (1975), In My Time Of Dying, mind blowing. I could listen to so many more, but I hope you continue with Led Zeppelin, you won’t be sorry. Thanks for you reaction.
THE GREATEST BAND IN THE HISTORY OF BANDS.. if you havent listened to this bands albums you are blind to music.
No. That's The Beatles. No Beatles, no Led Zeppelin. However, the mighty Zep can lay a claim to being the greatest rock band ever. But I'd call a three way contest between LZ, The Who, and Queen.
The greatest rock n roll band ever is The Rolling Stones of course.
@@MikePhillips-pl6ov Beatles are a 3 cord pop band not the same!

But that was just a tiny taste of the incredible range.
Check out
Led Zeppelin "Since I've Been Loving You" live at Pompeii 1972
BTW as a teen back in the 70's we didn't have Broadband, Social Media or Mobile Phones
But we had Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin, the "Yin and Yang" that brought balance to our little universe!
It was Pink Floyd who played Pompeii.
Zeppelin never played Pompei. That was Pink Floyd.
Robert has done some great stuff with Alison Krauss too and that is always worth a look if you get the chance.
Anything by Alison Krauss and Union Station is a good listen too
Ah, watching a beautiful young woman discover Let Zeppelin for the first time. Just made my day.
I am 66 and saw then at the Kingdom in Seattle Wa summer of 1977 and what a concert it was..my parents would hear Zep in my room all the time..what a great band to grow up with..
Greatest band in history! Watch their live performances!! I was 9 years old in 1969 too! I first heard them in 1970! I was hooked!! Jimmy uses a Theramin in the crazy part of this!
John Paul Jones… and it’s Zepplin. Check out Kashmir live, O2 arena.
Yes, this one is amazing greatness 👆👆 💥 💫 make sure it's Live at the O2 Arena
John Paul Jones is so underrated and passedover when talking about LZ.
How many songs these days have that style, composition, variety & pure craftsmanship? Let alone epic musicianship.
Led Zeppelin are timeless, they speak to every generation. They are also masters of their own instruments by them selves but the chemistry when they come together is way, way, waaaaay greater than the sum of the individual parts. The other things that every song is different to the last and the next, you simply cannot categorise them other than hard rock with some delta blues influence and then the mystical influence and then..... and so it goes. Enjoy the ride and strap in, you'll need it.
I've been listening to them for 50+ years now. Probably their most famous or recognizable song is "Stairway to Heaven". My favorite is "Kashmir", and Robert Plants as well, from their " Physical Graffiti" album.
Yeah - so many people vote for Kashmir - I just don't get the attraction at all.
For me the two tracks head and shoulders above an already brilliant discography are S2H and Battle of Evermore.
Led Zeppelin was arguably the best Rock Band ever for me (Top 3 with the Beatles and Pink Floyd), you have barely scratched the surface but this was a great intro song into their magnificent catalog. They never repeat themselves and almost every song is great and some are all time classics that many say are their favorite songs in any genre.
Your best best like other reactors is go through their 9 albums in order, (many have), 10 discs in total, it will be a sonic journey like no other. Start with song 1 on Led Zeppelin 1, Good Times, Bad Times, great opening track and was the first thing Planet Earth heard when they first got on the radio. Every album is great but a bit different than the one before but 3 of their albums (#2, #4 & #6) are often cited amongst best Rock albums ever. They will freak you out, they certainly did us back in the day and influenced all hard rock and metal bands that came after. They inspired Tony Iommi and Black Sabbath to break the mold and create the first, true Heavy Metal band the following year in 1970. That is another band you need to hear, they had the same shattering impact on the limits of Rock Music that Zeppelin did for hard rock, Sabbath did for metal. And both bands are so easy to get into because their music is so damn good. The great Rock Bands will be heard forever, I am so glad you are taking a chance on the best music in my 69 years. New fans with every reaction, Enjoy! Rock On.🎵🎸🎤🎹🎶
I love a reactor that reacts, and your face said it all, eyes wide mouth halfway between open and smiling. Great Reaction! Led Zep were a blues and folk influenced rock band. Can you imagine the impact that this piece had on the first ears to hear it? Keep Reacting!
I hope your Led Zeppelin journey continues. They're the best.
One of my greatest memories. I was GIVEN front-row center tickets to Zeppelin in an outdoor concert. It was hot and humid and Robert Plant was dressed much like in this video...and a blue norther (cold front) blew through and dropped the temperature from about 80 to 40 deg F in less than 5 minutes. They had all sorts of pyrotechnics and smoke that were just blown completely off the stage by 30 mph winds. Robert Plant kept singing throughout SOAKED with sweat. Oh, and "back door man" had a completely different meaning when Robert Plant said it - it was meant as the person you were seeing on the side - when your old man headed out the front door, he'd be coming in the back door.
Back door man means something very different today, well in most cases ;-)
@thenortherner3890 The lyrics were adapted from bluesman Willie Dixon's "You need love" which Muddy Waters sang in 1962, it could hardly have the same meaning it holds today.
@@isabelsilva62023 according to Green's Dictionary of Slang, "back door" has meant "butt stuff" since at least 1592 A.D.

LED ZEPPELIN Just brilliant, very good memories. I saw them twice on live . Thank you for reacting
Hello! First time viewer here and one can say I'm a Zeppelin fan. :) Great reaction! I'll be checking out your back catalogue!
In case no one chimed in with this, when he said "backdoor man", it meant he wanted to be her affair, as in the guy that has to sneak out of the back door of the house when the hubby comes in the front door.
I look forward to seeing more Zeppelin reactions. I recommend starting with their studio versions and then exploring the live versions, as the live versions can be very different than the studio releases.
Been listening to this for 55 years, and it never get old, unfortunately I have.
This song was considered very rude to the Brits but Americans loved it
Rubbish the Brits loved it. It was even the Theme tune of "Top of the Pops" one of the most watched TV shows and a BBC favorite.
Believe me, it shook up a lot of older Americans, too.
One of the phrases is not quite as spicy as it first appears. In traditional blues vocabulary, a "backdoor man" is a man on the side; when the main man leaves the house by the front door, the lover sneaks in the other door. Led Zeppelin were ubiquitous in the '70s and released some classics. I'll recommend their 1973 Madison Square Garden concert version of Since I've Been Loving You, which is the official video version from their channel. Here's a link: th-cam.com/video/4gT63xovuWE/w-d-xo.html
Feel like I am experiencing this for the first time right along with you.
That is the magic of music and music reactions. Thank you, Rosalie.
I saw them 5 times in the 70’s in Texas and LA. No rock band better in Concert, and I have seen most of them being 74 years old 😂😂😂
One of the greatest British Rock Bands of all time. Think it was the NME which was a music related publication that first coined the term Heavy Metal when explaining Led Zep 🎉🎶🎵🍯🤌🙏🐝🍀
All 4 of the members considered to be top 5 in their respective areas...Lead singer, Drums, Guitar and Bass. Basically a super band.
After 40 years of loving Zep, i realize more and more, that BONZO's drummin is 75% of the Zep-Sound.
People who say they don’t know who Zeppelin is must of course have been living under a rock. I am always surprised by these so called first time reactors. So I am glad you explained your unfortunate missing of Zeppelin. You are back on track now!
Always remember Led Zeppelin must be played at max volume. 🎼🎸 🤘
Hi Rosalie. If I could recommend one Led Zeppelin song for you, it would be 'Since I've Been Loving You'. I think it'll touch your soul.
Hey, thanks for sampling one of the greatest rock & roll bands that ever walked the earth 🙂 Yes, this song is a cheeky one. Led Zepp took a lot of cues (and whole songs) from the great blues musicians of the past and turned it up to eleven. The thing is that the true old blues musicians were blacks from the poor south and the inner cities of the northern US, and they had some very frank language to describe their experiences. Later on that album there is The Lemon Song, which you will find even more forthright in it's descriptions of hanky panky lol.
I heard this at the tender age of about seven or eight, back in the early 70s, but of course had no clue of what it actually meant until much later in life haha.
no better time to be alive and growing up when these bands first "made the scene" they were and still are legendary!
"...back door man" (and even "hoochie-coochie man") was used in some blues songs in the1950s e.g. Muddy Waters singing "Mannish Boy" (also uploaded on YT).
Rock hasn't got any better 👍
Great essay ! The very first Led Zeppelin song that kicked their debut on their first album was “ Good Times, Bad Time” As one commentator wrote . “ When you first hear it , you realize something unique and wonderful is about to come into the world . “
My best friend's uncle in L.A. County was the first place I heard Led Zeppelin in the early '70's. One memory is when I went to a friend's house in a different neighborhood and heard Zepp through this dude's window while we walked. The dude was Rocky Dennis upon whom the movie "Mask" with Cher was based. Rocky knew my friend and he said "how's it goin'" to us both. My best friend's dad was one of the bikers that hung out with Rocky's mom. I also remember listening to Zepp while driving drunk the night I got my license; I nearly went off a cliff. Lost my privileges that summer. Thanks for the video, cheers.
"Let's dive down into the lyrics and munch right down on them awhile..." 😂❤
They weren’t known all around the world??? Wow!! One of the greatest bands ever.
She said they WERE known all around the world so it doesnt count that she grew up in Germany. Interestingly, Whole Lotta Love was actually a number one single in Germany, where she grew up. One of the few singles they released.
Well LZ is the greatest rock band ever🤷♂️😎
Cute reaction sweetheart, really enjoyed it. I saw them as a teenager in concert in 1974. The 70’s was the golden age of Rock Concerts.
Baaahahaha. Loved your reaction to our music. Can't wait for your next one.
I don't have to imagine. Saw em here in Tampa in 73. I was 13. No adult supervision. 😎✌️
Love your reactions. There’s a reason why they are still regarded by many as the GOAT. Can’t wait to see you react to some of their live performances! No auto tune. Nothing fake. Just raw talent. Still doing it too. Your reactions make me feel like I’m enjoying them all over again. Here’s hoping you do a deep, deep dive. You’ll love it.
The ultimate in coolness 😎 i grew listening to these musical geniuses. Keep up the Led Zeppelin journey, you will not be disappointed. Great reaction!
you're the first person to react to both this song and Led Zeppelin in general, who really gets it. I'm 71and bought this album and all the subsequent ones, and so I think I have a good perspective. BTW, by 1969, there were very few people who were scandalized by this music.
You have so much to learn and listen to from this group they are one of the top influential rock bands of all time you have heard nothing yet.
Just the tip of the Led Zeppelin iceberg.
Only eight studio albums but left an indelible mark on rock and roll forever.
John Bonham - arguably the best drummer in rock.
What a song to start your Zeppelin journey!! 😂😂😂❤❤❤ I was born in '70 and raised on LZ by my very cool parents. Love your reaction---my 3 favorites for recommendations for your next reactions are:
1) How Many More Times - black and white live version from a Dutch (I think) TV airing.
And...
2) Dazed and Confused - the entire almost 30 minutes live from Madison Square Garden from their movie titled "The Song Remains the Same".
And..
3) From the same Madison Square Garden concert and movie, the song "Since I've Been Loving You". For that one - there are some that are cut a bit so try to find the longest version/video where you get all the crowd shots too as in the original movie.
After those, you'll definitely be in love with LZ ❤️
This is Classic Rock and the Best Band in the World!
So much more Led Zeppelin to check out, all their songs are Awesome!
Check out - Kashmir - Over the Hills and Far Away - D'yer Maker - Immigrant Song - Black Dog - Rock n Roll - The Ocean - Thank You - When the Levee Breaks - Going to California - Ramble On and many many more!!
I was born in 1960.
Started listening to Zeppelin around 72. Saw them live in 77.
They have a huge selection. Hard and fast or a little slower and mellow. Going to California would fit that category
House of the Holy is an album you can really sink into.
Many experts consider Led Zeppelin as being the premier group in the "Second British Invasion" which featured Cream, Black Sabbath, Jethro Tull and Uriah Heep among others. Modern listeners often say they belong to the genre of "classic rock", but they are incorrect as that typically refers to groups like the Beatles, Rolling Stones and the Moody Blues (i.e. the "First British Invasion") among others. As a matter of fact, back in the day, the music played by groups like Led Zeppelin was originally called "Heavy Rock" but that didn't last long and it became known as "Hard Rock" with the term "Heavy" subsequently referring to groups like Judas Priest, Iron Maiden and others (i.e. Heavy Metal). Of course, the term "Metal" has been further subdivided since then ("Black Metal", "Death Metal", etc.) as well.
I saw Led Zeppelin perform this in concert in 1970 in Kansas City. They are electrifying in person
She found out with this song why the Wilson sisters from the band Heart were overwhelmed as teenagers when they saw Zeppelin live for the first time.🤣
And then they brought Jimmy Page to tears with their Version of Stairway to Heaven
That 2006 reunion concert you read about with John Bonham's son Jason on drums is worth a react if you want to dive in. Incredible performances by men in their 60s, with modern sound reinforcement and good video quality. In particular, "Kashmir" really shows off Jason's talent.
It's hilarious that this is the first Led Zeppelin song you reacted to. I was eight when Led Zeppelin released their first song. My favorite band. I hope you continue the Led Zeppelin journey. They have so many good songs and every band member is very talented. Going to California, Babe I'm Gonna Leave You, there are so many.
The best way to discover the mighty Led Zeppelin is to listen to ALL the songs, album by album, track by track, song by song, one after another, beginning to end.
Guitarist, songwriter & producer Jimmy Page made albums, not singles. Each one is a different kind of rollercoaster for the senses, mind and soul.
All their albums represent different phases of the group's journey, and it's cool to witness their evolution unfurl.
Zep is the best. They never did a bad song, imho.
Led Zeppelin I begins with GOOD TIMES, BAD TIMES. Start your journey there.
Greatest rock band of all time with an amazing body of work, mostly blues based. Check out Since I've Been Loving You live from 1973!
Black Sabbath,Led Zeppelin,Deep Purple the holy triad of rock music🤘
Rosalie, you need to react to "Dazed And Confused", which is off their 1st album. "Whole Lotta Love", is the song that truly launched the bands popularity and is off their 2nd album. I was in 7th grade when this song came out. They are one of the very few heavy rock bands where just about every song they did was popular. Kind of like the way The Beatles were. You can listen to almost every Beatles album and you will have heard almost every song sometime on the radio. Led Zeppelin was like that. Incredible band. My first rock album I ever bought was Iron Butterfly In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida which was released in 1968. The title track, In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida, is a little over 17 minutes, and probably has one of the most well known drum solos on it from back in the day. Great reaction, please do more of the classic rock songs, so many for you to choose from.
Love your reaction ❤. Zeppelin is the epitome of Classic Rock. They were of the times
It's so fun watching someone react to Led Zeppelin for the first time. And realizing how long ago they did this. @Rosalie, there is much much more content from them.
Great reaction, Rosalie! Every Zeppelin song is different, but as soon as you hear it, you know who it is.
Being just a couple of years older than your mom, I can assure you she rocked out to this. Led Zeppelin hit the world like a sledgehammer. There was the music before Led, and then everything changed. My older brother brought their debut album home and it changed my world. (Well, that one and also Black Sabbath.) Almost 60 years later and I still can't get enough of it. In my mind, Zepp will always be the greatest rock band ever. If you are starting down this road, you have a very long way to go. I know from your reaction to this one that you will enjoy the ride.
Welcome to the wonderful world of Led Zeppelin! You picked a great song to start with. This song, the first track on their second album, kicked the door open for so much hard rock to follow. It's hard for many today to realize the impact of this song back when it came out. Led Zeppelin has so much great, diverse material to choose from. You will no doubt receive a lot of recommendations for other tunes of theirs. I can just offer some of their most well-known to start with:
Stairway to Heaven
Black Dog
Kashmir
When the Levee Breaks
Fool in the Rain
Dazed and Confused
Good Times, Bad Times (the first track on their first album, the world's introduction to Led Zeppelin).
Babe, I'm Gonna Leave You (the second track on their first album, an acoustic masterpiece, for something different).
A couple of my favorites that are less widely well-known
In My Time of Dying (John Bonham's drums knock me out on this song)
Nobody's Fault But Mine (epic kick-arse song from Led Zeppelin's least popular album {Presence, 1976}, often gets overlooked, but well worth a listen -- you won't be disappointed!).
I see you already reacted to the Immigrant Song. If you've seen the movie "Thor Ragnorok," This song was featured at the end of the movie.
I'd recommend listening to the studio versions of Led Zeppelin songs first before listening to live versions. Your video for Whole Lotta Love was the studio version superimposed over live footage, though it truncated some of the weird part in the middle. Enjoy the ride!
