"The trouble down below", Stringer shuts his eyes, and it cuts perfectly in time to show some hoppers. One of my favourite moments from a Wire season montage ever!
She was a rising star within the police force; but all it takes is one bad operation and look how far back this has set her. the relationships that have been damaged. her physical condition. one could imagine how long the road to recovery will be for kima. will she even come back to the police force after this?
Seeing D walked out, knowing the fate that awaited him, sad. He was the only honorable one on Avon's whole team, Stringer was an devious mfer. The day Avon checked him over asking Slim to hit Clay Davis, turned Stringer against Avon.
What's so honorable in killing a man just because you are weak ass kid and cant handle a beatdown? D also tolerated that dead hooker. It took Wallace to break him. And then he cries over some dead fucking inmates. Fuck D.
@D V D shouldn't have been in the game to begin with. Weak? Shit. That's a big burden doing some shit you don't wanna do, but ya do it because ya feel ya have to because ya family put it on you like that. Avon was wrong putting D in that car to pick up that brick. You don't put "family" in that situation. Breana knew in the end she got her son killed. She knew the closest people to her did it. D did all that shit he played his part in a game he ain't wanna be in for family.
@@ezeqeel8352 "it took Wallace to Break him"? Smh. "Weak ass kid who can't handle a beat down", I'll take D over all of em. It's no lie in D. You ain't gotta read between the lines wit him.

One of the best seasons of any TV show ever. Too bad every subsequent season was worse than the previous one though, but at least the season end montages were always solid.

I think he's imagining what later became Hamsterdam.
This
Me too one of my favourite i can't agree more
Omar at the end was THE right way to finish the season.
All in the game!
this Song+ this Ending
=unbeatable
Kima by herself with her walker is such a powerful image...
Elaborate please
Explain??

Yo I just realized McNulty does the same swing of the baton at the end of szn 3 when he goes back to the Western.
Good catch…
It’s a pretty old-school patrol officer baton trick in the US.
Yep
@@kewldewd8334I think there is another scene from an unknown officer doing it in season 3 or 4
every WIRE ending season montage is just amazing ...encapulates everything just perfectly ...the WIRE is the greatest
best 3 minutes of TV in a long time
You happy now, bitch?
What do you mean? This show came out like 15 years ago
@@Supersquigi the comment was written 10 years ago. Nutjob
damn it. This was the best ending song.
paul weller - walking on guilded splinters (the jam) just another perfect song for another wire montage they nail it every season

Had Rawls not sent him to marine unit, there wud be no season 2.
It's almost as if some entity had the show play out that way on purpose 😂
All respect for this show🙏🏼
I was sad when D got booked
thanks for any and all credit to the great jesse winchester.
Shit, now I'm going to watch the series again. Damn.
I
If it were me, I would have ended the series finale of The Wire with Michael robbing someone and saying "All in the game, yo."
Nah no cap DeAngelo story was sad as hell
“It’s all in the game yo”
Stringer is looking @ the camera at 2:26.
MKW All In The Game Yo! All In The Game! He will be missed.
Just realised 2:47 was used in three season ending montages (seasons 1, 3 and 5)
"All in the game" EA sports should hire him. "EA sports, it's all in the game yo, all in the game haha"
they did hire him, being irish man
Best show ever made, hands down
Bubs and Johnny up to no good!!!!
All in the game yo!

@TQmatt So? It's for the overpower effect! :-) Looking you straight in the eyes!
what are omar and the other guy saying after "all in the game yo" at 3:30?
SomethingRules the latin dude say "me voy a acordar de ti".
In english is like. "I Will remember you."

Never understood Mcnulty´s hatred for the boat. Maybe the most easiest gig in American law enforcement.
I need to know before I go how come the devil smiles.
McNulty would have ended up eating his gun if they didn't get him off that boat.
2:20 “children play all around the throne”
Kinda looks like Slim Charles in that last Stringer scene.
I said the same thing
0:10 me after I get my girl some food when she’s been annoying me all day

I always think about Demiah trying to turn get go into a "corner." He'd be arrested like two days a week too. Must have been a wire fan
