- The "Damn It Feels Good to Be a Gangsta" montage in Office Space is by far one of the most zen movie scenes ever made. I always wished it was longer and decided to make it happen.
Footage owned by 20th Century Fox
Music owned by the Geto Boys by Rap-A-Lot Records, Priority Records
Ladies and gentlemen, please rise for the anthem dedicated to those who left their toxic jobs during the pandemic and never looked back
"Well you don't need a million dollars to do nothing" - that's such a liberating thought
Possibly the most important movie made in the modern age.
Funny how the guy who made Beavis and Butthead, Idiocracy and Office Space is probably one of the smartest guys around👌
I quit a job in the middle of a MS Teams meeting.
FUN FACT: Everyone balked at the suggestion any rap music be used in the film during production. Turned out to be a brilliant idea. This is one of the most replayed scenes in the movie.
The most important documentary that graduates need to watch before experiencing the soulless corporate world
When I quit my corporate job, this was the first song that came to mind 😄
I think Office Space saved my life more times than I give it credit for. I remember being suicidal and a manager at a cubical tech job and I would put scenes on from this film and it felt more spiritual than any church. It made me laugh again. And not long after I quit that shit hole.
The way they pass that floppy disc around always cracks me up.
So about ten years ago I was making this new report at work that was the summary of the status of our total list of projects. I told my boss I was going to name it the "Total Project Summary Reports, or TPS Report for short" figuring he would say "yea right. guess again."
I quit my cubicle job after watching this film and got a job as a construction worker. Everyone thought I was nuts. Twenty years later, I own a construction firm, and I am happy. Few months ago I met one of my ex colleague at Walmart. He is a manager now, but told me that he is jaded, unhappy and wonders where his life went.
I worked as a stockbroker for the better part of my twenties (2013-2018) and absolutely hated it. One day my boss told me to wash his land rover on my lunch break and joked in a serious way that if i didn't i’d lose my job. Something just snapped in me and i told him to go fuck himself and i walked off to my desk. Needless to say i was fired for insulting a superior the next day, and you know what, i was smiling ear to ear walking out of that soulless building. I've been working as a carpenter for the past 2 years and I absolutely love it. Like peter says at the end “aint so bad making bucks, getting some exercise, working outside....."

I love when his neighbor yells out "don't worry man I won't tell anyone either"
This movie is a masterpiece.
"You don't need a million dollars to do nothing, man." Wise, wise gentleman there.
I love that they had him driving a Toyota Corolla, widely known as the most boring car on the planet. Details like that and the random pictures of the office building on the walls just makes the movie even more legendary.
The way he just guts the fish there and when his boss wants to talk to him and he just slip past him always gets me.
This scene changed my life... priceless!
