In regards to the seemless switching between Tab-target and Action, Guild Wars 2 had that implemented long before. Which you can toggle between both mode with a toggle-key. Most likely the fact that NC-Soft has their hands in both GW2 and T&L.
Any game with a heavy emphasis on PvP while ALSO providing P2W mechanics is just crap. The whales are going to dominate every PvP encounter and eventually the minnows will stop playing. the point is, people who are using money to achieve things can do that on games like wow where you basically can only buy gold officially via the token. any run, raid, gear, mount, transmog can be bought off blizzard but by the community. people sell runs and people buy runs. basically its the same. you can buy pvp rating, you can buy pvp gear, everything. so basically, people who pay money will have these benefits no matter if the company is selling the stuff or player. same with eso, ppl sell gold, crafting material, runs for gold - millions of gold, which you can buy by any player or g2g page whatsoever.... so i think you get my point
ESO isn’t pay to win, there is nothing you can buy in the shop that will give you an edge over other people. The shop is 95% percent cosmetic. As for gold buying pretty sure that’s against tos. You can also just farm mats there is no incentive to buy gold. As for paying for runs those are usually just tied to skins and titles people want which are again cosmetic
@@jpwashere2868 u clearly missed my Point. People buy dozens of gold what they use to buy clears. Ofc its no p2w, just pointing out that you can „win“ anything in a Game with real Money. What is that plushy that's following you around everywhere? What's the purpose of that ish? I mean, it's right under your feet the whole time but you didn't mention it at all?
Took me three days of grinding to beat the main storyline, INSTANTLY slammed both into paywalls and gatekeeps up the ass. As someone who's been playing MMORPG's for over a decade now, saying that this game left me with a sour taste in my mouth is an understatement. I'm not gonna bother with it anymore because: - the lore is laughable and reeds like a highschool fantasy fanfiction. You do a job for someone, that someone turns out to be a traitor, then another ally appears and you try to warn them, but that ally also turns out to be a traitor. By the third time you see it happening you'll just roll your eyes saying "this bullcrap again?" - I can't chat properly with people because the ingame chat is a clusterfuck that appears to be designed by an underpaid highschool student - half the chat is from bots spamming sales and teenagers insulting one-another constantly, best option is just to turn it off entirely - I can't heal or buff anyone outside my party, and to invite anyone I have to go through such an assanine clickage it's painful - I can't parkour properly because the game just randomly rolls the dice between running and flying morph (All of my deaths during the main storyline were due to fall damage because of this) - the game has HORRENDOUS hotkey detection (Can't use WASD in combo with any other keys for skills, not to mention that sometimes the game flatout REFUSES to acknowledge some of the hotkey commands, like you enter them too fast for it to process it). - balancing is off whack and all over the place, sometimes you enter a dungeon and you get wiped, other times one player solo's the whole thing and rushes ahead (rushing players LITERALLY just run straight for the boss and lock everyone else out in dungeons) - I get stuck on Secret Dungeon level10 because the boss is literally just a gearcheck (kills you instantly from 100% Hp unless you're a tank when it reaches about 5%hp) - Gear progression is fucked beyond belief, what little gear you get through the main storyline barely makes a dent in your performance. You can pay for random dropboxes but goodfuckingluck getting what you need - Healers in this game are FUCKED BEYOND BELIEF! Barely any gear provides Mana Regen or Wisdom or Perception bonuses, and what little it does is pathetic. I literally focused on Mana Regen as healer because I had nothing else to pick from. - the weapons mastery system is assanine, the game demands a lot of grind for it yet you can only run so many dungeons, and speaking of... - you can't run more than 2-3 dungeons daily before your tokens are expended, so you can't claim any further rewards, which you need to increase your gearscore to access higher dungeons - "openworld dungeons" are a scam, basically overleveld players just rush ahead to the main objectives, so if you're a newbie player you get left in the dust and die to aggroed mobs - Openworld contests are borderline insulting, leveling players get trampled into the dirt by bored DPS who run through the area and two-shot everything they come across. There are a plethora of other things I could write down, but I'm feeling way too sour and way too pissed off for burning almost 22 hours of my life into something that doesn't feel even the slightest bit rewarding. The moment you wrap up the main storyline (what little there currently is), all of the glaring issues the game has hit you like a runaway dumptruck. Save yourself the bother just like I'll save myself my time by dropping this game, by the end of its 3rd month this game is going to be yet another mediocre mmorpg fantasy throw-away title you'll see covered on Nerdslayers Death of a Game
I've just started leveling in the game, finally looking at videos...and this guild centric system is leaning me towards uninstalling now. My idea of being a sweat lord is tennis or running.
actually u no longer need to change weapons they fix that tvm now the weapon change automatically wen u use the skill of the weapon so it make it much easier to pve and pvp.
Combats fun. P2W part is pretty big. My tank has 11k hp. Got nuked by a 4.4k X 2 and died in 2 hits. Quit the game after. Was half traited and only missing one blue ring.

2 turn-off for me: (1) PvP emphasis and (2) Group focused activities emphasis. The latter is especially lethal if the player population drops and everyone will be sitting around waiting for everyone to group up to do any activities. Any MMOs that don't have a good solid deep comprehensive solo focused play would die a quick death because players will leave for other new MMOs when they launched. It will spiral down in vicious cycle. Those who remain playing will find many players left to play other new MMO. They will leave too when they can't do anything in the MMO without a decent group. When the returning players come back from playing new MMOs, they will find little player left because they have left. So these returning players will leave too. I think you get what I mean.

i tried it a bit and its no game for me.. too many items, too many buttons, too many gifts and menus and too much upgrading skills and weapons and everything.. and too much reading beforehand to know what you should do.. no thanks

can't wait to play "thrones and liberty" this weekend.
I loved wow raids and dungeons, spent years in bdo where everything was damn solo which for me defeated the purpose of playing an MMO, so I'm down for needing a group to progress even if I lean more towards casual
Sounds amazing. Can't wait for later to finally play it
Thanks for the great honest review! Also, finally a review that I actually understand! My friends are playing but I was a little skeptical to try the game cause everyone is saying is all about pvp and I don’t usually enjoy pvp and I have kids so I usually play when normal people sleep so it’s nice to know that I can play the game or some parts of the game and enjoy it.
Why do you keep saying thrones of liberty?
Chill brother.
Its not a Big Issue...
...also could you spare me some oats brother?
Right!😂 it’s not a big deal but it is still like..🫠
I’m calling it Throne of Liberty moving forward ❤
It's such a little thing to get annoyed about do you not have any other things to do lol
@@lennxeath3293 While watching the video.... no. It may be little but if you are reviewing a game and telling me about it at least get the name correct........
In regards to the seemless switching between Tab-target and Action, Guild Wars 2 had that implemented long before. Which you can toggle between both mode with a toggle-key.
Most likely the fact that NC-Soft has their hands in both GW2 and T&L.
uh, didnt ArenaNet develop guild wars? and why are you mispronouncing the title of throne and liberty?
Any game with a heavy emphasis on PvP while ALSO providing P2W mechanics is just crap. The whales are going to dominate every PvP encounter and eventually the minnows will stop playing. Its one thing to offer an XP boost or cosmetics, but just straight up buying upgrade mats or increased upgrade odds is BS.
It's Animorph! the P2W mmorpg.
Thank you for the info. Not really into the Pay to win thing so I might not play for too long. I'm enjoying the content as you pointed out but late game grind and buy might not be my thing. i'm lvl 20 (Dagger/Wand) and really enjoying it so far playing solo. I enjoy guilds, but like you don't like the "Need people to progress" mentality. i just like them for the "Hang Out" aspect.
"UNABLE TO CREATE A CHARACTER(10)"
10/10 game can recommend
Idk if I missed it but is PvP forced? Or can you do only PvE?
Not forced
Early days, it looks pretty impressive for a new MMO although I'd like to see how well it stands against ESO when it gets out of beta.
Well ESO has set the bar pretty low at this point. That game is a dumpster fire.
@@madhatten5123 eso has always been buggy but it had redeeming features in the past.
Eso's bar is in hell though so that's not hard to surpass
@@xyourdeus4972 facts. Big PvP update two years in the making!!!!! We removed 1 team from BGs and made 7 whole maps…… Wow mind blown.
Yeah I had a lot of fun playing ESO but how many damn DLC expansions can you play where you're just getting side upgrades? The shit gets old. It's not like the overworld is difficult at all. That's one of the biggest problems doing the quests is so mind-numbingly easy. It's not even fun.
the point is, people who are using money to achieve things can do that on games like wow where you basically can only buy gold officially via the token. any run, raid, gear, mount, transmog can be bought off blizzard but by the community. people sell runs and people buy runs. basically its the same. you can buy pvp rating, you can buy pvp gear, everything. so basically, people who pay money will have these benefits no matter if the company is selling the stuff or player. same with eso, ppl sell gold, crafting material, runs for gold - millions of gold, which you can buy by any player or g2g page whatsoever.... so i think you get my point
Buy eso Gold and upgrade all your Gear to gold is already an advantage, simple as that. Thats what its all about, people take Money and buy stuff that they arent capable of. In eso Theres no such System where you can win something on the Long run, But Thats also the reason theres just a handfull of hc prog guilds in pve. Its Not challenging at all.
@@jpwashere2868 also lets say we both start at the same day. You buy riding Books to Max out your horse with Money while I need 180 days for it. Thats a huge advantage and youll progress much faster. Faster riding speed, much more inventory space. As a newb u Take anything and waste hours sorting stuff. Its all p2w or at least pay to progress
I started playing it and then I kept having to watch videos to figure what not to do and you wouldn't believe the amount of don't screw up your game with the wrong decision videos so I just don't have time to do that much research just to even start a game.
Same for me on the guilds
I wish the wand had bigger heals earlier in the game. Early game no one dodges
3:40 greatsword has a tiny bit of AOE. its a single target damage weapon. Idk where you getting your info
I am pretty sure it does a spin to win ability that hits more than 1 target
What is that plushy that's following you around everywhere? What's the purpose of that ish? I mean, it's right under your feet the whole time but you didn't mention it at all?
Took me three days of grinding to beat the main storyline, INSTANTLY slammed both into paywalls and gatekeeps up the ass. As someone who's been playing MMORPG's for over a decade now, saying that this game left me with a sour taste in my mouth is an understatement.
I'm not gonna bother with it anymore because:
- the lore is laughable and reeds like a highschool fantasy fanfiction. You do a job for someone, that someone turns out to be a traitor, then another ally appears and you try to warn them, but that ally also turns out to be a traitor. By the third time you see it happening you'll just roll your eyes saying "this bullcrap again?"
- I can't chat properly with people because the ingame chat is a clusterfuck that appears to be designed by an underpaid highschool student
- half the chat is from bots spamming sales and teenagers insulting one-another constantly, best option is just to turn it off entirely
- I can't heal or buff anyone outside my party, and to invite anyone I have to go through such an assanine clickage it's painful
- I can't parkour properly because the game just randomly rolls the dice between running and flying morph
(All of my deaths during the main storyline were due to fall damage because of this)
- the game has HORRENDOUS hotkey detection (Can't use WASD in combo with any other keys for skills, not to mention that sometimes the game flatout REFUSES to acknowledge some of the hotkey commands, like you enter them too fast for it to process it).
- balancing is off whack and all over the place, sometimes you enter a dungeon and you get wiped, other times one player solo's the whole thing and rushes ahead
(rushing players LITERALLY just run straight for the boss and lock everyone else out in dungeons)
- I get stuck on Secret Dungeon level10 because the boss is literally just a gearcheck (kills you instantly from 100% Hp unless you're a tank when it reaches about 5%hp)
- Gear progression is fucked beyond belief, what little gear you get through the main storyline barely makes a dent in your performance. You can pay for random dropboxes but goodfuckingluck getting what you need
- Healers in this game are FUCKED BEYOND BELIEF!
- you can't run more than 2-3 dungeons daily before your tokens are expended, so you can't claim any further rewards, which you need to increase your gearscore to access higher dungeons
- "openworld dungeons" are a scam, basically overleveld players just rush ahead to the main objectives, so if you're a newbie player you get left in the dust and die to aggroed mobs
- Openworld contests are borderline insulting, leveling players get trampled into the dirt by bored DPS who run through the area and two-shot everything they come across.
Does Throne and Liberty have a subscription option?
is there any like party roles? tank suport dps?

Combats fun. P2W part is pretty big. My tank has 11k hp. Got nuked by a 4.4k X 2 and died in 2 hits. Quit the game after. Was half traited and only missing one blue ring.
“Dont play this game if you expect it to be exactly like eso or other mmos you’ve been holding onto for the last 10-15 years.” Fixed your thumbnail.
Good review you almost hit all the marks. You tell all the truth.
S/S/W, LB/D, that sounds really fun.
“There’s a tower with bosses and there’s even secret dungeons.” No secret dungeons is the tower you speak of.. how much did you even play like 20 hours?
Game of Thrones and Liberty 🤣 Appreciate ya, Deltia!!!
The game looks good but as soon as i heard that NCSoft is the developer, immediately went "no, no". Knowing their greedy monetization tactics and how they destroyed Lineage2, i wouldn't get near a game coming from them, hard pass
This MMO failed in east because it was not p2w enough
A group of 20 of us have been trying to get on the same server to guild up and play this together, but their weird server crap it keeping us from doing that since we can not all log on at the same time. They keep closing the server so I think we are going to try for a soy or two longer. If we can not then we are going to go back to wow. The game looks like it will flame out fast with mega guilds ruining the servers. Seen that in two of them so far.

I've got 60 hours in the game already, and I've never even seen the shop.
😂 yeah alright buddy.
@jackgreenway4646 it's not my fault some of yall are addicted to clicking the store.
How do I change combat modes?
Which furry critter do you get to be when you go into travel/furry form? P.S. there no lore when class and race is cosmetic. Guild vs guild is all Asians can come up with. You'd think they'd want to move away from Guildwars and maybe look at something special like Dark Age of Camelot - but no one does that.
"Thrones" & Liberty...
A lot of creators I've ben watching state you can get to max level in around 8 hours.
Oh an everyone looks the same, there are like only 10 sets of armor
