Awesome that you were both in the Paras !! 💪👍Wonderful tab ! ..what a beautiful place ..quite the scramble in certain parts !! 18 miles is a good effort on slopes like that !! I used to train with the RMR but I can barely do a 10 mile yomp now !! lol.. I'm 59 so I'm creaking a bit !! lol The Peak District is wonderful.. been there many times in the past. Have a wonderful weekend !! The set up looks awesome.. top kit !! Cheers to you 🍻😁👍💪
Looks like a great place for a stroll in the wild, not been out there so good to see you out and about. Also reassuring to those of us closer to 60 than 50 that we really can and should be getting out to enjoy life while we can.
The Junior Soldiers was a great thing, I was one. Joined up January 1987 aged 16 at the Junior Infantry Battalion, Shorncliffe in Kent. Do it all again in a heartbeat. Good to see you both out & about and enjoying yourselves reminiscing. Untrique Paratus 👏👏👏👏🇬🇧
@@PreparedPathfinder I knew him as a full screw in 4 para. Bit older than me but always a fair and friendly bloke. Great videos pal, love the stuff with Echo Mike recently, very well put together.
Looks like a decent walk (with the usual summer weather). I was back in the UK last month visiting family, just a bit further north in the Pennines. Managed to get in several walks up on the moors. Siimilar views, similar weather for some of the walks although it was reasonably warm at the end of the month. There are some good tracks out behind Stoodley Pike West Yorks
Just seen my old army depot training mate in the last 2 days and we are planning a hillwalking trip to the Peak District next year. So this was great to watch and good timing. Both got knackered knees, so walking poles and also Midge head nets are on my shopping list. We also joined in 1988 just older recruits

Nice, I needed to see this today. I'm off to Derwent area tonight to see if I can spot a meteor shower! I was planning on a wild camp after but I was debating it in my head to maybe just drive home. Its forecast to be a nice clear night so I will probably stay the night.
@@PreparedPathfinder nice are you doing another video i’ve been asked to make my videos shorter so will try 😂my survival challenge was a long one but a one off hope you have a good night my short video will be out monday just tarp and bivvy bag no sleeping bag or mat i never use mats anyway hope you camp goes well🤟🤟
Fantastic! I was in the same area last month with the StrongMen Charity hiking around Jacobs Ladder/Kinder Scout and Mam Tor. Beautiful place but we had the same... Those midges are a bitch! 😂
Another great video mate! Bit of a random one but I’ve just watched a podcast with Chris Craighead and he was PF platoon like yourself, just wondering if you served with him?
