I don't think anyone has asked/answered this. Apparently the legislation is for any NEW models of drones. Does that mean DJI would be able to continue selling Mavic 3 Pro's in the US since it was released before the NDAA approval. Or does this also mean that even older pre-NDAA models wouldn't be able to enter the US? And what about parts for pre-NDAA models. Batteries, props, airframes, etc.. or repair services for older models. I'd like to upgrade to a M3P before the ban goes into effect but I'm scared of not being able to get parts and service for it.
As l understand it, the “ban” would apply to new FCC licenses, so DJI would not be able to get FCC approval for new drones/devices. Existing FCC licenses for existing DJI devices would not be affected, and they would still be able to sell existing models (and parts). That is assuming that Trump appointee to run the FCC , Brendan Carr, is not “stupid” (Vic Moss’ word, not mine) enough to retroactively cancel existing FCC licenses. That would immediately turn everyone’s drones into paperweights. Given what Carr has written about his intentions if put in charge of the FCC, I am not quite ready to hang my hat on “”stupid” not happening.
I reached out to my reps, did you know many senators make you put in your 9 digit zip code and won’t let you send a message if you aren’t in their area? Like senators who do this accept for all zip codes in their state but house reps? Only if you’re in their area of the state. So it’s difficult to contact a congressman who is head of the committee you need to contact if you aren’t someone who can vote for them even if they’re making decisions that affect you! On a side note I literally just bought and received my new Air 3S!

The thing that I don't understand is, are they trying to ban the sale/purchase of DJI drones and/or the flying of DJI drones? Plus, I'm in Canada so I'm not sure how this is going to affect DJI here.
The current verbiage included in the NDAA would include the purchase and use of any drone NOT already licensed by the Federal Communications Commission. For example, anything you can already purchased will be able to continue to be flown. Anything new that DJI manufactures after this legislation would be passed would not be able to be purchased in the United States and will be illegal to fly as well. The ban would go through the FCC channel to essentially just blacklist DJI and several other Chinese brands of drones and drone parts from being used and sold in the US. Whether or not already FCC approved drones (think Air 3S and older at this point) would still be eligible for sale in the United States is what I'm not clear on myself and what will come to light in the future I'm sure...

I just purchased a dji mini 3. Customs just sent it back to China. I wonder if an over zealous customs agent decided that the mini was on the shit list
This is not good for us DJI drone operators pro or hobbyist.
Call your congressmen! Call your senators! Call your president! Vote harder! Look at where that's gotten us!!! Feedom!!! Wooo-Hooo
The fact that something cool like a plastic aircraft going up those altitudes with these amazing cameras is something that can make life more enjoyable and also a tool for evil people to do what they will , education is key
I fly my drone with the same caution like if was ilegal
OMG .. he goes left way to much
Yon😊😊😊😊😊
Sounds like it’s time to make a
GHOST DRONE 😀
Good thought but even the parts are going to be out the door better learn betaflight like the freestyle guys
If it doesn’t get passed by the end of this year, I’m sure Trump and the new Congress will make it their priority next year. There’s really no escape.
It's because they see it as the new AR-15
I really like and appreciate listening to you but listening to that guy is horrible. Would never listen to him again.
Lol. He is full of knowledge and he is one of our biggest advocates, but he can get a bit long winded.
Worst is to come
😂😅These Drone are send from Mexico Cartels practising an all out War,if Trump declared War On Them.😂😅
Hey, I got in an argument with that guy. Lol
FIMI MINI3 is a great sub. For DJI BC They do allot that aDJI does & more for the price it’s the best on the market for civilians in my opinion, not that it matters you can do research on it check it out you won’t be disappointed, but it does not have obstacle awareness sensors only at the bottom so we can tell how high and so that it doesn’t crash down to the ground when coming down too fast otherwise the camera is beautiful images with video and pictures 60 frames per FPS and it does about 40 miles an hour on a clear not windy day and that is pretty fast for a consumer drone. It last about 32 minutes. There’s a smart plus battery that you can get that last almost 50 minutes. I think it’s like 38 minutes but it had to wait till your drone so you need to get it registered.
I'm sorry but the way things are going in New Jersey, NY, etc you all will be lucky if they don't ban all drones altogether. Two airports that I know of have had to suspend operations temporarily, one in NJ and one in NY because of drones. At least one accident victims medivac was delayed because of drones. Two were arrested yesterday for flying around Logan in Boston. By the time these fools are done a kid won't even be able to fly a paper airplane. Way tongo drone enthusiasts!
If he would stop repeating himself a 100 times, and get to the point, this video would be a lot easier to watch and understand. We can reach out to our Senators and it will go right in one ear and out the other. They don't give a shit about their constituents, especially if they are Democrat. The only way to make a dent is to assemble as a whole on Congress. "Peacefully." The US drone industry is crying because they can't produce a decent drone. I owned a Skydio and "I sold that piece of junk" and bought a DJI Air 3S.
My republican congress people, both houses, don't actually give a shit about anyone but themselves.
Look up lite machines they sold out and made military drones by 2008 when we were taking Uranium from Iraq never made helicopter again "thought was Russian norval engine"
You asked for tariff loving president...you got it.
I'll take tariffs over senility anyday.
This will be a disaster.
I am not optimistic, I hope I'm wrong but with our government and the rush to get things done before the holidays spells disaster in my book.
Ban drones, but guns are just fine? Folks down under find this hypocrisy absurd 😮
Here in the states, it's all about follow the money. Who is benefiting from this ban?
Guns are a Constitutional Right ....drones are not!
@@johnrebman5718 yes - I don’t think I can ever get my head around that but, this is precisely my point.
Bro speed is on 1.5
I think Russ said it was on 1.25, but it does seem faster. 😅
I knew yall were drone salesmen, yall sound like salesmen. "Govt is going to stop my money flow" is all i heard
A lot of blabbering but 10 minutes into the video I still don’t know what the story / problem is about. Mind you I don’t own a drone and know nothing about them. But if you can’t make a random guy like me understand wht you are even talking about, good luck convincing the legislators with whatever convoluted problem you are having.
