It's so sad seeing the ones where the person actually wasn't lying. Reddit is like twitter,except for less popular people.

Lol not really. Reddit just doesn't like liars. And this guy sounded like a liar.
Lol I once posted on reddit about being sexually abused as a child by a family member. Everyone was very sympathetic except for this one guy who went through my comment history, realised that I still stayed in touch with my family and felt that was reason enough to believe I was lying. The guy went to about 15 different comments and posts I made trying to "out me" and telling me what a horrible person who was for lying.
Makes me wonder how many of these stories are people actually lying and not just nosey people who struggle with reading comprehension.
Lots of people, reddit is basically a hotspot for pathological liars looking for fame and crap.

Moral of the story: Reddit is a terrible place. Read it but don’t talk to the people on there. Also a homeless person having an amazon wish list doesn’t prove they’re not homeless. Maybe they wish they had those things 🤷🏽♀️
A former friend of mine lied about their age and sent a picture of their "birth certificate" as proof, it looked familiar so I looked it up, it was a pet adoption certificate from 2014, they blocked me when I called them out

The frauds I remember the best were on TH-cam. Like the guy who faked being in a wheelchair for sympathy. Ok I looked it up ZillianOP.
The only Reddit shitstorm I've been present for as it unfolded was the Jill/Mary/Tim bridezilla saga. It was 7 parts or something crazy long about OP's co-worker who was getting married and his crazy neighbor/best friend who was making everything difficult for them. It spawned a Facebook group where OP started selling advance copies of a book about the whole thing she had decided to publish. Eventually she was busted as an amateur fiction writer and I watched people go through hell to try and get their money refunded.

My most liked comments and posts are just bs stories I wrote on throwaway accs. I always thought redditors just love reading made up stories as long as you make them somewhat belivable.

Go to ANY youtube video. Look at the top comment. (The older t he video the better) go through "new" comments. There will be atleast 10 people all spamming the same top comment. No Dignity or pride😅
