loved the explanation, but would've made me convinced if there was a video continuation with in-car footage showing the Before and After + stats change of gears! PS big fan of your company and potential customer in near future for GT4 718 parts
@RPM Teknik how long does your ring and pinion gear last before there is significant wear on it, or it fails. Many people have expressed longevity issues with aftermarket ring and pinions for the GT4
Any chance you could let me know what the crown wheel diameter in the G81 gearbox is? I'm putting some info together on front engines and rear engines RWD cars and their maximum torque vs crown wheel diameter. The objective is to see whether the rear engined models use larger crown wheels due to the extra traction the rear weight bias gives them. Thank you.
Some comparisons would help people want to buy. Also you never mentioned the percentage drop, although you have in another video. Also I've never seen a 981 GT4 get anywhere near the limiter 7800rpm in 6th flat out at 183 ish mph , so how would it affect topspeed? Do you think with this crown wheel and pinion fitted, it would reach the limiter then? TIA
How does this impact the Rev matching, presumably the Rev match will be lower than required because of the lower ratio for any given speed. Also does the speedometer become inaccurate

This and an overdrive 6th gear would be ideal.

I’m assuming 0-60 times will improve with the shorter ratio. Has anyone compared the times with stock gearing?
maybe.... unless you have to shift into 2nd to get to 60. but IN GEAR acceleration will improve
Any stats with the lower ratios?
Does changing the hearing affect the auto blip?

Do you have any partners in the US you work with the sell/install this?

I have a 2010 Cayman S with the 3.89 final drive and is this an option for that transaxle (G87.40) also ? Is this offered to the US ?
Can this final drive also fit into a Cayman S or Cayman Base? The gearing on those is also too long
Can this be done for a 987.2 s 9a1 manual transmission?
I had the pinions of a 997 Cup in my 997.2 GT3. Vmax down to 285 km/h, but much better for trackdays on the Ring.
results?
Would be my choice! 🤩
what actually was the final drive difference/?/?? 10%? 15%
TLDR, change gear ratios.
I'm a fkn genius.
