The Flamingo is one of the first places I stayed so you can't sway my love for The Flamingo lol. The bubbles on the ceiling just add character lol. The room does look spacious. I never understood TV's in the mirrors kinda like the phone beside the toilets. I was told a tip when I was staying in Toronto for early check in... tell them you have had a long trip and you're not feeling good and need to check in (if it's early). I hate how Vegas nickel and dimes you more and more. I still love it but it's getting so bad. Location is great, love Piff

I get it. Palazzo was the first place I ever stayed so it always holds a special place in my heart. And Flamingo was the first place I stayed when I didn't go with family. The sentimental value is sometimes not worth the actual value though 😜
Wow, I'm surprised they haven't finished renovating. They were renovating the Go King rooms when I was there in 2017 in a different tower - forget which one but it was next to a round night club. My room was on a higher floor (49 or something? Maybe 29?) and had a grate over the window - I thought it was to keep people from jumping, but maybe it was an LED sign?
Have you got any hints on *not* getting your food frozen in those fridges? I had a fruit bowl from the old CVS and a bottle of Coke in the fridge. Left for a few hours came back and they were frozen solid! I can't figure out what I did wrong.
I did try to get a salad but it all looked bad, when I asked about it I was told it was because I was there on a long weekend (it was a Friday) and they wouldn't have fresh food until the beginning of the week. I wound up with a $7 slize of very oily pizza.
I would also still love to know what the black mass (cloud?) was that was in front of the window - it was very definitely *not* Bugsy Siegel - I would have been happy if he showed up and booted that thing out. I was not on the side with view of the old MGM Grand so not sure if there was anything to do with that. Can't seem to get an answer.
I will say I *loved* the location. I walked up to the Miracle Mile and down to Venetian, even across to Ceasars and over to Paris. Got to go up the Eifel tower in the middle of the night (this is how bad I did not want to go back to that room), had a blast walking and exploring.
I did attempt to ask for a different room but was told nothing was available.
I don't think I'll get back to Vegas before next year - would have gone in December but moving expenses are continuing to mount. Would love to see the new Speigel's Disco Show over at the Linq once it opens.

Oh wow! I definitely felt like my room was haunted when I first stayed at the Flamingo many years ago. Woke up to what sounded like someone saying "be careful" in my ear! As for the fridge, sometimes they have a dial where you can adjust how cold they get. The top shelf is sometimes a freezer so maybe that has something to do with it. As for Discoshow, I can't wait to see it! We're going back in August for my birthday and definitely going to check that out as well as Diner Ross. Stay tuned for a video once that happens ☺️

It’s unfortunate about the condition of this hotel. People are forgiving because they think it was built in the 50s, but most of that hotel is a lot newer. There are little food and lounge options, and the Cromwell isn’t much better. Finding a place to sit down and eat is a challenge on the promenade, and Ceasers Palace is still a hike and then a monster property. I’d stay at the flamingo if I lived there out of sheer curiosity but I can’t see going to the trouble of taking a long distance vacation to go there.
For sure. I stayed there when I was a lot younger because my friend wanted something budget friendly. We did it again this stay somewhat out of curiosity and also because everything was booked with conferences. We only slept there three nights. We got a huge suite at MGM Grand I'll be featuring on this channel in the future and also ended up staying at a suite in the Conrad for four nights. We haven't done Cromwell yet but will be there for some of our next stay in August. Going to also check out Park MGM for a couple of nights and Palazzo as it's one of my favourites and I haven't stayed there in a while. When is your next trip?
Next Friday. I’ve heard mixed reviews about Cromwell. I LOVE the rooms, but hear they are dated. It’s LOUD and that’s been the most consistent complaint, so bring earplugs. Also, Giada is hit or miss. If you want to get into Drai’s for free, you can if you’re a guest. Go before they open and you might get a daybed for free, I hear.
@@bethanyarnp8852 I went to Giada when it opened and she was actually there. We took a picture with her 😁 but that was back in like 2014 so it's been a while! Maybe we will check it out when we're there. I was thinking of doing the pool at Caesars as I'm an old man and Drais might be too much for me haha. I'll let you know how Cromwell is. Where are you staying this trip?
Cosmo!! Blvd tower fountain view. That was our honeymoon hotel.

I haven't booked anything yet but I definitely want to. I missed the July booking through Caesars Air and the August trip from Toronto is while I'm in Vegas. So I'm hoping for September! Thinking of staying at Caesars this time. I was hoping to visit during the summer to enjoy the beach!

@@Rkelly131313 haha no way! Who have you seen? The only times I've been recognized by anyone (or at least have had them come and talk to me) was twice in Caesars Windsor. But I'm not a big timer like some of these other TH-camrs. I saw Jacob from Jacobs Life in Vegas in Fashion Show mall once. I think that's the only other TH-camr that I've recognized. I've seen some people filming their slot play but I'm not a huge slot play watcher so I didn't recognize them. I appreciate the kind words and for checking out my videos though ☺️ I'm sure our paths will cross on the strip or the boardwalk soon!

Everyone has known for at least a decade now that the Flamingo is a total dump.
I don't disagree but we chose to stay there for the reasons mentioned. Plus I do try to stay at different places to feature on this channel. Next trip in August, I'm featuring at least three new properties to the channel so stay tuned.
