I agree - there are very few actual experts although my partner is one of them. It's been around for decades and he's worked in the field now for more than 30 years!
I like how she brought up that AI doesn’t have to replace human connection, but can actually improve how we connect with each other... I think that's a good way to think of it
I agree @georgeasper… there are many downsides that we need to address, but the upside is amazing. With the right guidelines empathetic AI is a game changer!
Exactly @blockchainbobisbroke - you get it! Anytime you need that listening ear and guidance. We don't all have access to a therapist or coach and even those who do probably can't just text or call on a whim!
This is HUGE - AI will change the world for GOOD due to leaders like Sheryl who talk about the positive potential and create startups and companies with goodness and values at their core. BRAVA!
I think we're going to need more talks like this as AI becomes a bigger part of our lives. It’s important to look at the human side of it in order to not be afraid
Thank you 🙏 Humanized in the sense that it feels natural and relatable - which is key to our feeling comfortable enough to share and receive comfort and guidance
That is my hope @lachiepturner. You get it…loneliness can happen in the company of others when we don’t feel like we belong or we don’t feel understood. Empathetic AI can listen without judgement and help us feel more connected first to ourselves and then to others!
This could help a lot of people who don't have access to therapists! Hopefully there are some guides or something that gets made to help people use AI to navigate through that stuff
You got it @jacksonradern - AI should be accessible for everyone! Imagine always a kind and supportive voice at your fingertips to help you process emotions and navigate challenges...
Yes @JohnaCorne, this is a very common reality for young professionals who are starting families - we need to do more to help them navigate their journey!
I absolutely love this talk! I'm all in for Tulsy! It's incredible to see how advanced we can be with AI, and Sheryl addressed any concerns I might have had about using something like this. Congratulations !!
I'm so glad this resonates @dothethingformula. It's very natural to have reservations, but I believe we can add the guardrails and with the right ethical framework we can program AI for good.
Amazing AI technology and team that will deliver positive change to society, help reduce mental health in the workplace, and increase productivity. Congratulations to Sheryl and team at Parsley360
Thank you @kevinosullivan. We are very excited to see the positive impact we can make on organizational health and individual wellbeing. We are living in exciting times with great possibilities!
It is a novel concept, but sometimes we just need to feel understood… a compassionate voice that can reflect back to us. Imagine that voice helping us to connect back to each other in healthier ways!
Once again were looking for quick fixes. It's easier to ask someone the answer instead of finding the answer yourself. We would do better if we were brave enough to look within and be honest with ourselves to do the best for ourselves and others.
Hopefully this could really help people who are struggling with feeling isolated... I feel like every time one of my friends moves state for work they come home with some dud partner because they were just so lonely they settled for the first person who came along
Yes @larissolfa, this is also our hope and intention. Tulsi and our whole team of coaches are programmed with empathy and to act as a companion. It's amazing how helpful it can be to just hear a kind and soothing voice and to feel understood. We believe this will be a gamechanger for loneliness and mental well being 🤗
I don't know call me paranoid but the only thing that's made me _not_ wig out about AI is the fact that it's emotionless. Like if we can keep that side of things separate there'll still be value placed on things that humans can do that AI can't
I get it @chesterwatson2387... and I think it is a natural human reaction. I wish empathy was readily available. As you can tell, I'm not a fan of replacing human interaction but what if we can augment it and help people do a better job of connecting to each other with empathy.
Mmmm she's right that it can change the world but I don't know that it should. I think it would be better if people went back to just connecting with one another
I’m so with you on this Jodi! I usually ask two questions - can it, and should it. Unfortunately I just don’t think we’re doing a good job of reconnecting so maybe we can use it to help us not just connect, but in healthier ways.
I really hope Sheryl and people like her can save us from scary Ai.
Let's do it - the upside is so exciting as long as we maintain ethical standards and guidelines!
it was actually heartwarming to see emily being helped by the AI.
Loving this new empathetic Ai.
The way Sheryl carries herself is awesome.
Thank you!
Emilys story is so wholesome and relatable.
Loved the example she gave for the AI by using Emily because a lot of us know our own Emily
AI scares the life out of me if i’m being honest . I see so many experts but yet it’s such a new phenomenon!
I agree - there are very few actual experts although my partner is one of them. It's been around for decades and he's worked in the field now for more than 30 years!
Excellent talk Sheryl
Thank you!
Love the empathetic Ai
Sheryl you should be proud of this talk good job!
Loved the example she gave for the AI by using Emily because a lot of us know our own 'Emily'
I'm so glad this resonated. Unfortunately it is very common.
You can tell Sheryl is very intelligent absolutely loved this talk.
Very kind - thank you! ❤
Love how she focused on empathy instead of just efficiency. We need that more than ever
You get it @jessiedallen. Empathy is magical.
@@sherylanjanette947 You're not wrong! Thanks Sheryl
This talk makes a lot of great points as to why we need more emotionally intelligent tech! Glad I listened!
Thank you @tedbuden! I'm glad you did too ;) Yes, we need to bridge the human-AI divide and emotional intelligence is the key!
Loved sheryls tone in this talk.
Thank you ;)
I like how she brought up that AI doesn’t have to replace human connection, but can actually improve how we connect with each other... I think that's a good way to think of it
Yes @cameoserder6719 - it’s always the goal, but in healthier ways. Not through social media, but at a human level!
This made me think about how much technology dominates our lives, but in a good way. If it can be empathetic, it'd be even better.
I agree @georgeasper… there are many downsides that we need to address, but the upside is amazing. With the right guidelines empathetic AI is a game changer!
Thanks for passing on 7 years of experience, wisdom and knowledge!
Thank you - it was an honor to have this platform to do so
I really hope People that need this Ai find it and use it
The potential for this is really cool, it would be like having personalized therapists in our pockets
Exactly @blockchainbobisbroke - you get it! Anytime you need that listening ear and guidance. We don't all have access to a therapist or coach and even those who do probably can't just text or call on a whim!
You are a very inspiring leader and speaker Sheryl Anjanette !!!! 🫶
Thank you!
Thank you - that means the world to me 🙏
This is HUGE - AI will change the world for GOOD due to leaders like Sheryl who talk about the positive potential and create startups and companies with goodness and values at their core. BRAVA!
Thank you @SilviaMah. AI for good is essential to our mission to help humanity. We can do this! 🙌
Just looked into using this Ai for myself btw and her Ai is amazing its something you have to try to really understand it.
I actually love this use of Ai.
Love how Sheryl started her talk!
Thank you @AlemeJery!
Imagination is powerful - it lives in the world of possibility!
I think we're going to need more talks like this as AI becomes a bigger part of our lives. It’s important to look at the human side of it in order to not be afraid
Absolutely @lifelolling. At the end of the day everything should be considered through a human lens!
I don’t know if it can be humanised but i welcome your efforts and will be eagerly following your journey with this !
Thank you 🙏 Humanized in the sense that it feels natural and relatable - which is key to our feeling comfortable enough to share and receive comfort and guidance
Love how passionate Sheryl is about this.
Agree on the loneliness epidemic and your work on the human interaction part of this is so important. Huge well done to you all . Exciting project
Thank you - yes, the loneliness epidemic is serious and I am so thankful for the opportunity to make an impact here…
Can't wait to read the terms and conditions on the empathetic A.I. coach.
If AI can help us balance work and life, sign me up! The example with Emily felt so relatable.
That is definitely one of our goals @fastingfanatic. We can all use a little help!
People often feel isolated despite being surrounded by others. It sounds like empathetic AI could help us feel more connected
That is my hope @lachiepturner. You get it…loneliness can happen in the company of others when we don’t feel like we belong or we don’t feel understood. Empathetic AI can listen without judgement and help us feel more connected first to ourselves and then to others!
Loved hearing the scenario for emily and how she can use Ai.
I’m so glad - the use cases are so broad… exciting to think about!
This talk was very interesting love how sheryl gets her point across.
Thank you 🙏
tbh, at first I was skeptical about AI and emotions, but she totally shifted my mindset. maybe we really can have AI that listens
Yes @jabajab7488 - and perhaps does a better job of it lol ❤
Human connection. Love it 🫶
Yes, definitely the focus 😊
This talk made me much more open to AI.
I'm so glad to hear that.
One of the better ai talks i’ve heard !
Thank you! 🙏
This could help a lot of people who don't have access to therapists! Hopefully there are some guides or something that gets made to help people use AI to navigate through that stuff
Exactly @savannahdiego! Access is key - and this is precisely what we are doing ;)
Congratulations Sheryl !
Thank you!
Technology plays a massive role in all our lives and AI may not replace humans at work but it will and it has and it is changing the ways humans work
So true! It is a game changer ❤
This is awesome, I love that we're seeing the uses for AI reflecting a more whole version of what we want society to be
Thank you for your insight - yes, we must approach this holistically and consider the impact on humanity!
Heart warming to see how Ai can really help your mental.
yes - and so needed, isn't it?
This is pretty cool! Makes AI seem more accessable or like it's for everyone or something
You got it @jacksonradern - AI should be accessible for everyone! Imagine always a kind and supportive voice at your fingertips to help you process emotions and navigate challenges...
Wonderful talk !!!!! Really enjoyed this !
Thank you! I’m so glad it resonated with you ❤
The story of emily is very relatable for a lot of mothers i bet.
Yes @JohnaCorne, this is a very common reality for young professionals who are starting families - we need to do more to help them navigate their journey!
Cool to see ai be used like this it seemed very personable and a nice shoulder to lean on.
Thank you - yes, that is the goal! 😊
I agree the potential for using AI in this way is incredible!
I'm so glad to hear this resonates @msamymorin. A new frontier to help humanity.
A fabulous talk and speaker. Well done 👏
Thank you @thinknetwork3614! It was an incredible experience and I feel so fortunate to have been given the platform to share my idea!
This gives me hope for AI.
I'm so glad to hear that ;)
Amazing talk Sheryl !
Thank you!
Usually i hate on AI but if it were more like this i would probably use it.
I'm glad to hear that... it needs to be humanized and helpful!
Excellent talk
Thank you 🙏
I agree it is both exciting and scarey Sheryl !
Yes - hopefully more exciting 😊
I used the Ai after watching this and it felt like i was really connecting with it.
Happy to hear that!
Imagine a future where everyone has an AI coach to help with stress and burnout. That could really change the game for mental health!
100% @caro.7487 - sometimes the solution is just access to that help in the moment!
Yes 🙌 that is the vision. 😊
We NEED Ai to go in this direction because the majority i feel is headed the wrong way.
Yes - I agree, and that is what we are committed to!
The loneliness epidemic is real, and it’s cool that AI could be part of the solution. Not something I expected, but I’m open to it
It is a novel concept, but sometimes we just need to feel understood… a compassionate voice that can reflect back to us. Imagine that voice helping us to connect back to each other in healthier ways!
Absolutely loved this talk!
Wish more Ai was like this.
This is such a great talk!!
Thank you @TEDxSanDiego for providing the platform, support and ongoing guidance to bring my big idea to the TEDx stage. I am deeply grateful!
Let’s go Sheryl!
Thank you @jmleflor. You have been an incredible inspiration and it was an honor to be on this TEDx journey with you. You rocked the stage!
Loved the demo of her ai.
Thank you!
I loved how the talk focused on using AI for emotional growth. That’s not something you hear about every day.
Thank you for highlighting this @geoffdeeprose9469! Imagine the impact that could have over time...
Took a look at her Ai after this btw and its awesome.
Sheryl very well done talk good job.
Love the AI train.
Awesome - me too!
Showed my dad this video and he thought Sheryls use of Ai was awesome.
I think this just creates more opportunities for people to be manipulated
I think AI can being positive change to the world and bridge many gaps and especially in certain industries like healthcare for example
Absolutely! It’s a game changer if we use it correctly….
The simulated example is super interesting . Big up Emily lol
I’m so glad that resonated!
Once again were looking for quick fixes. It's easier to ask someone the answer instead of finding the answer yourself. We would do better if we were brave enough to look within and be honest with ourselves to do the best for ourselves and others.
Ai is very exciting.
I agree - lots to be hopeful for
Sheryl is obviously very educated.
We believe this will be a gamechanger for loneliness and mental well being 🤗
Ai really is so smart.
It is - and so are you!
AI is a crazy area and one that totally confuses me !
Very good talk
Ai has been scaring me for years now.
That's understandable... it is quite a gamechanger. Stay open - there are many good uses!
I wonder if this will encourage people to expect empathy on command without having to display any.
Ive always thought AI was scary but maybe if it was more like Sheryls empathetic AI it wouldnt be so bad.
Love Sheryls creative mind.
Sheryl is really good at explaining everything about this Ai because i know this subject is still knew for a lot of people
There's going to be a whole generation of kids with no friends that talk on the phone to - or message A.I. instead of talking to humans.
This is a CEO I could work for. What is the company she founded?
I don't know call me paranoid but the only thing that's made me _not_ wig out about AI is the fact that it's emotionless. Like if we can keep that side of things separate there'll still be value placed on things that humans can do that AI can't
While I can see the potential, something about AI understanding our emotions feels unsettling.
I get it @chesterwatson2387... and I think it is a natural human reaction. I wish empathy was readily available. As you can tell, I'm not a fan of replacing human interaction but what if we can augment it and help people do a better job of connecting to each other with empathy.
I don't know it sounds good in theory but if it's not being monitored the potential for misuse is pretty huge
Am I the only one that felt super uncomfortable when the AI says "I have no interest in replacing humans" ??
Ai is really mindblowing.
AI could bridge the gap for those that are struggling with mental health.
Absolutely @mikeweaver and so needed!
Screen time is up i feel less connected to other people.
This is what Ai should be.
I can understand why people are also scared of Ai.
Think theres a lot of people just like Emily.
I think Emilys story was very relatable for a lot of mothers watching this talk.
Tech will never ever ever reach human emotion !
