Ive had the same Stanley for 20 years, was 12 bucks. Same concept as kids wearing Bass Pro Shop hats and Carhartt that have never stepped foot in a store nor done any kind of work requiring a Carhartt. Genius marketing, they took a $12 mug, slapped some pastel colors on it and sold it to the morons of tiktok.
That’s what I told my coal miner husband! You gotta give it to Stanley…they saw these young kids coming and are profiting big time! I use a Reduce tumbler and love it, but I wouldn’t be caught dead with a Stanley tumbler. My husband works too hard for the money! 😀 My dad is a retired coal miner as well. I knew Stanley before Stanley was pastel!
My retired engineer dad is 82 and I remember him having the original thermos when I was growing up - I bought him a new one a few years ago, partly because I was surprised they were still available. He is flabbergasted by this "craze". 😅
Thermos is now and forever will be, the best brand. That day at school when Mom put chicken noodle soup in your Thermos for lunch. Taking coffee to work when you get older. Those things were like a good old fashioned cast iron tub, they could take a beating and still function.
It doesn't even make sense indeed. However, few months ago in the end of 2023, I saw a video from very famous celebrity/influencer in my country, using this cup and all, and at the time I just think oh that a nice cup but oddly overprice, but whatever. Now when I saw this stupid trend, I thank God that it's still not a trend in my country (Indonesia), yet, but idk. Now I just realize this is the result of guerillas PR propaganda on social medias, thru influencers. Especially toward easy impressionable kids and teenagers, and gullible adults.

That is so crazy. It's amazing what influence can do. Take away the craze and I doubt anyone would want these cups. It just goes to show that everyone wants something that makes them feel special, valuable, and included. That's what designer labels do. Just learning about this craze now and glad I know nothing about it. $45, $300 is crazy for a tumbler. I get mine from TJ Maxx.

My sister is a victim of this craze. She was also hyped by Starbucks Planners, Shutter Shades and Baby-G watches. Nothing wrong with the tumbler though, it's just that I have the bladder capacity of a squeezed lemon and that flask will make me go to the toilet like a potty trainee. I ain't drinking that much in a car, let alone have a liter of sugar drink in a bumper-to-bumper traffic.

It's just a cup. There are many other brands that work just as well for way less money. I too use a reusable cup daily, had the same one I got from Buc-ees 8 years ago and paid less than $10.00. Finally got a new one about a year ago now think I paid $15. Keeps things cold all day. So I'm for the use of them but not for people just paying for a name. On a 1 thru 10 dumb scale this one gets an 11. I remember Camelback’s were all the craze when I was in 5th grade every cool kid had one, it’s funny to see how we reinvent ways to drink water and make it trendy, but it’s good for people to drink water and better than single use bottles of water so I’m all for it.

So I took it home, boiled and bleached it four times (boil, bleach, boil, ext) and have used it since. It was free, and I don’t need a designer cup. I call it my “mug mug”. Made a custom Paracord handle for it too. Love it!🥰

Ha, I just bought one after watching TH-cam channel Project Farm do a test/review on tumblers. I trust his reviews and testing methods. I didn't even know people were going mental for these things. If I had known people were going crazy for these things, I probably wouldn't have purchased one. I bought 20oz black with no handle. At least it won't stick out like dogs' balls when it's in my car.
Honestly all jokes aside I got mine to save myself from my piles of huge cups I would get at the coffee shop. Every day I always order a jumbo drink and so this will really reduce my waste and save ALOT of room in my trash bin every week. I got my Stanley 64 oz jug on clearance from Sam’s 2 years ago, and it has no scratches or dents. Unlike those cheaper bottles. So yeah it’s amazing and not to brag but I found it for like $10 😊😊😊😊 Sam’s must not have known about the hype

It’s so impractical with the handle! Would never fit in my work van cup holders because they’re up but the windscreen and would be so inconvenient in the door bins. Be so inconvenient taking it on a hike or commuting around a city like london too.
