I bought a Stanley dupe yesterday from my local swap meet for $35 KNOWING it was a dupe 😂 I just thought it was a pretty color and said when my 6 year old daughter wants it she can have it lol
I actually just got one off eBay. Checked it over before I saw this video and thought it was a fake. My friend brought her real Stanley over that she got from them and we compared and sure enough mine is definitely a fake. It’s actually a really good fake to someone that doesn’t know what to look for. The handle is off, the logo is crooked slightly. The straw is bigger, it has the Allen bolts for the handle but one is crooked and sideways. And it also has the recycle sign in the bottom BUT it’s extremely raised on the bottom metal if that makes sense. I got the black chroma and it also didn’t come with the chroma paper wrap at the bottom, it only came with the regular white wrap around the body. And the bottom is etched but it’s wider and kinda sloppy and not in the chroma coloring it’s in a coppery color. 100% returning it.
I’m sorry to hear that!!! It sucks that it’s so hard to compare fakes with real, I mostly worry about the quality of the materials that the fakes are made of since we are gonna be drinking from there and putting that inside our body. Real stanleys come with the straw inside the cup already, no package just for the straw, thats a sign it’s a real stanley
I work at an Academy store where real Stanley cups are sold and I'm a cashier. Yesterday, one of my coworkers, a cashier leader, told me and others about a customer who tried to return a fake Stanley cup in order to exchange it for a real one. The customer had went to one of my cashier coworkers to try to exchange the "Stanley" cup. My cashier coworker then showed the fake Stanley cup to the cashier team leader. She refused the return. Great job for both the cashier and cashier team leader!! 👏 👏👏 So now everyone at Academy knows the difference between a real Stanley cup and a fake one! Personally, if I were the cashier that the customer came to, I would've realized right away that her "Stanley" cup is fake by looking at the color of the lid and refused the return. Some people will try anything these days!! Smh

Hopefully you didn’t pay a lot for it. I bought an unbranded Stanley looking tumbler for $12 and it looks like a Stanley cup and my ice actually lasted more than a day. They both are made from the same stainless steel for a fraction of the price, and I actually have a Stanley cup. I’ll take 3 unbranded non logo ones any day tbh.

One that had every detail correct except the rubber gasket seal on the lid was black and it should be a milky nearly opaque white. The fifth time was the charm and I got the real deal in Winter Pink which is a sparkly medium pink and so pretty.

That one is a bad fake. I have one that’s fake but has the right screws has the right recycle sign the handle is up close to the ring but when I compared it to a real one it’s slightly lower than the real ones handle and the logo is slightly lower than the real one. The crown is not has pointy but dam it’s an amazing fake lol 😂 ice also melts very fast.
mine has a lot of alarming signs but the worst is the lid doesnt stick ,changed to the store i bought two times but i keep on getting the same issue i have given up,so mad

i gave up comparing especially i bought online. alot newer one now exactly the same. even the handle and logo placement. what i did was get the limited edition like that deco. i got the gloss black version. it comes with diffrent box. chances are these are priced higher then most and not mass produce.
So I bought a Stanley from the real Stanley store like the original one and then I bought it and then when I brought it home to the unbox it , the straw had a packaging plastic package, but like you said it was real, it even had the recycle sign inside it may be a mistake but it’s OK thank you for uploading this video so I was suspicious if my Stanley Cup is real fake so I watch your video and then it was incredible and then thank you for uploading it❤
you can tell the difference by browsing alliexpress and see what colors are available on it, or packages it is coming in lol, my fake one from ali doesn't bare differences you specified through, and I know it is fake. I guess they got better at mimicking, or maybe it's smuggled from Stanley factories before it is shipped to Stanley as distributor, as they do make their cups in china after all so there is barley any difference i would say. Anyhow it was cheap as dirt compared to "the real thing" but keeps my drinks cold so I'm happy with a purchase, i mean barley 20dollars for cup that works so well, good deal.

Should have a serial number on the bottom, and the screws on the handle should be Hex screws and not a Phillips screw

That's not a "recycle" sign on the bottom. It's a guide for placing the top to close it so the straw ends up where you want it.
